I have somehow lost my ability, in P&GD7, to export and open previously-created pdf files. It's not an "option" in the exprot drop-down. Where the heck did it go? I re-installed and it's still not there and I need it!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to make a part with two intersecting holes. The first one is threaded with a 3/8 BSP thread, and the second hole is just a normal unthreaded one with the same diameter as the first.
Normally, if I was making two unthreaded holes with the same diameter I would define a parameter called 'holedia' or something and link both holes to this parameter so I can change it easily if I want; no problem.
But because this time it's a threaded hole, I can't specify the diameter. I don't know what it is because Inventor just looks up '3/8 BSP female thread diameter' in some table. So what do I reference as the diameter of the second hole?
At the moment I'm just looking up a chart of BSP threads on the internet and entering the major diameter manually, and this works although it's a bit of a hassle. But if I wanted to change the hole to 1/2 BSP; I'd have to go back on the internet and find the new diameter to use for the second hole.
There must be a way to 'parameterise' the Inventor-generated diameter of the first hole, and then reference this for the second one, isn't there?
I tried making a driven dimension linked to the first hole and referencing this in the second, but this didn't seem right and it wouldn't update itself when I changed from 3/8 to 1/2.
I created my standard drawing template which I used on prints and I have now updated my template. Is there an easy way to get my previously created drawings updated to the new template?

The same relates to the .tif files. It's not corruption of the files, it's happening to every new-written file I try to move between computers. Later on, when I want to furhter edit those images, how do I start with? Obviously, I could re-edit from history panel of the orignal NEF file or tiff file using CS5. View 10 Replies View RelatedWhy are my previously edited canon 5d mark 3 raw xmp files no longer recognized and all sliders set to zero? I can see the xmp files associated with the raw file in their folder. The files were originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x -in July 2012 - and recently re-opened in the same CS6/ACR 7.x.
The canon 5d mark 2 files from the same time/event are showing up fine. I have updated everything, but both before and after the update, same issue with the Mark 3 files.
On a side note:We have found that opening mark 2 files (that were originally edited in CS4 / ACR 5.7) in CS 6 / ACR 7.x and making any changes such as color coding causes all previous xmp information being zero'd out in the mark 2 xmp file. Not sure if this is a symptom of the same problem? Except the difference here is the Mark 3 files have never been touched outside of version CS6/ACR7.x - however the folder which holds both mark 2 & mark 3 files from the same event has been opened in the CS4 / ACR 5.7 window but without touching the files. By opening the folder in CS4 I can see that the Mark 3 files aren't reading and then know this event was originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've created an image file in Illustrator and exported it as a .png file. The dimensions are 1000x200 but when I export it the file size changes and becomes bigger. I therefore have to change the file size in Fireworks making sure that the quality is kept as Photoshop does not do it for me. Previously when I exported the files the backgrounds appeared transparent after saving but maybe I've changed a setting by accident that has changed this. I'm selecting the 'Save as' and Flattened png option at 32bit in FW.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created a short film using numerous clips. The footage is shot with a ratio of 16:9 and this is how it is viewed on my PC.
However if I export it to any format other than MPEG the first and last second of each clip stretches horizontally and then returns to the correct ratio (see images). I have tried every possible conversion with no luck. It is always the first and last second of a clip and happens for every clip in the film. The only time it doesn't happen is with the title templates.
I'm having real difficulties getting my drawing borders to work between Inventor and AutoCAD. I am using Product Design Suite 2012.
I have created a drawing border using Inventor, which is the template for any drawings I produce. I often export the Inventor drawings into AutoCAD 2007 dwg's to send to customers. However, it seems all the text goes up the creek after the export...
When I open the exported AutoCAD drawing, first I explode the drawing border. Then, if I scale the border from within AutoCAD, none of the text wants to scale up. - I've attached the border. I've tried several different ways to fix it using text styles, heights (setting to 0) etc and still no luck!

I created logo with a gradient object. The gradient is with a single color and transparency.
I can not export the logo, ( Ai, eps or pdf) in InDesign and keep the transparency of the gradient. Transparency becomes white. For the pdf, not only I do not have the transparency of the gradient, but I also have a block of white around my logo.
Earlier this year, I was still using CS3. I created a bunch of original TIFF files, and modified files which had been created in CS1. When I am having to go back and reference these CS3 TIFFs, some of them are giving me an error message and refusing to open. Evidently, they are not compatible with CS6?
I have since uninstalled CS3, but the box is sitting on the shelf if I need it (which I am hoping I don't). Any workaround - preferably one which will not destroy my layers.
