View 1 Replies View RelatedFour days ago I updated to LR 3.6. Two days ago I got malware and part of the solution was to System Restore my computer to before the LR 3.6 update. Then I used MalwareBytes to remove the malware. My computer seems to be working fine but now I can't open LR.
On my C: drive I still have LR 3.6 Files but my shortcut to open LR says it is 3.5. I found a LR 3.5.exe file but clicking on it does nothing.
I just update lightroom to version 3.6 from the last current version. I am on a Mac pro operating system 10.6.8. Everything appeared to be normal until I tried to open an image in the develop module and nothing happens and the program freezes with the lovely spinning rainbow wheel and the program must be forced to quit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy computer's power source failed and turned off while an Indesign CS5.5 file is open. Now trying to access the file, my computer (a mac) thinks it's still open. I'd like to either "close" down the file my computer thinks is open or delete the file (I have good copy on an external hard drive).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am a CC member. I have Indesign on my mac note book and my PC desktop. There is a compatibility issue between them. The mac version appears to be still ver 8.0.2 while the PC version has upgraded to ver 9.2 and the mac wont open files from the PC. This sort of defeats the whole purpose of joining CC, which was compatibility between all our machines at work. When the mac CC version 9.2 of indesign will release and any work arounds. I know about saving as the idml thing but it is so clumsy. We want to be flicking the documnet back and forth.

How can I easily make the diaper a PMS color and add it to the grayscale baby and still maintain two colors (PMS + K)
Right now, I'm cheating and combining the PMS diaper onto the grayscale baby in Indesign..... but I really need to have this in Photoshop so I can add shadows to make it more convincing. I tried converting the grayscale to CMYK and deleting all channels but black, didn't work as it took away all the information from the image.
See image below.
(using CS5)
I use photoshop cs2.
Are you able to open Indesign files in CS3?
I am considering upgrading.
I need to work with InDesign files but don't have the software. I was hoping to be able to open it in Photoshop and still have the layers to work with.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have found the perfect editable magazine template but it's an InDesign file.
Is it possible to open and edit this in Photoshop CS6. I would need to be able to drop in my own images and replace all the text without compromising the existing design, can this be done with my very basic skills?
I had with exporting Autocad files to Photoshop. Now I would like to submit the following question: I have made several attempts to get my Autocad drawings into Adobe InDesign, but the results are highly unsatisfying. I suppose that the EPS format is the right way to do it, but the results I get when I open the EPS files in InDesign are very poor (no sharp lines etc.)

This isn't a PDF that's been emailed or moved between computers, this is right after I export from InDesign on my home PC.
What's going on? I need to print this document tomorrow for a final presentation!

I know how to do this on Indesign...but I do not have that programme at present. I am using photoshop CS3 and am wanting to design a tattoo. It is an outline of New Zealand with some song lyrics inside as inspration due to the Earthquake we have had in Christchurch.
Is it possible for me to do this in Photoshop (roughly), or not? I have tried to look but I don't even know what it is called for the task I am trying to do!
I am trying to drag and drop a photo into design page. But the image is too large. How do I shrink the entire image? Is there a better way to input from iphoto?

I'm trying to wrap the text around an image in InDesign - it works fine when the image is to the left of the text box, but when I move it to the right it's not having any of it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to place an .eps image on an InDesign document, however, the blue bounding box in Illustrator is cropping part of the image. I can see the full image in Illustrator. Maybe the bounding box is too close to the edge of the logo? Below is the what it looks like when I place it in InDesign and what it looks like in Illustrator. Is there a way I can include the missing part of the image? I am not the creator of the logo and received it from another company.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an EPS file that I am placing in Indesign doc. The image looks great in Illustrator, but in InDesign once placed there is a wave pattern to the colours (like an old tv) – not a smooth gradient. Is this a color profile problem? Or issues with how to maintain a vector image quality when importing into indesign? Upon export to PDF, again the EPS file exports fine, but InDesign export the colors aren't smooth (see sample images). The color is formatted for print (Fogra 39) for both.
changing the working space to setting for print in InDesign. Under “placed content” should keep existing assignments, enable all profiles, disable all profiles be selected?
I just started using Indesign CC a couple of weeks ago and am building a document with a lot of images. I'm dragging and dropping the images from Finder and about half the time the images are coming in distorted and out of proportion, the other half of the time, they are maintaining their original proportions. What is causing the distortion? Is there someway to control the placement so the image maintains it's original proportions?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've placed a logo in my InDesign file that I saved out of Photoshop. It appear blurry when in InDesign and I do have it set to high image quality display so that isn't the issue. It is also set as CMYK and I haven't resized it after saving from Photoshop.
I tried saving a jpg so it would be crisper but then I have a white box behind it when placed in the InDesign file.I need to send it to print but can't let it go until I'm sure it won't print like a blurry mess.
I have many inline formulas (imported from Word file via using mathtype) in PDF article made by ID. But when I export the articles as HTML, the images for formulas become much larger than shown in PDF version. How can i keep the exported images to the same size as they are shown the PDF file? I know I can edit the html file to specify image size, but that is the ideal work flow.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to pick up color from an image using the eyedropper tool. But it only will pick up white as a color and fill the other object with white, and not the actual pixel color I am trying to grab. This doesn't always happen but I can't figure out why it is happening in this instance.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI watched one of Terry White's videos on Adobe TV in which he used buttons (pins) on a map to reveal different images which were basically the different states of a multi-state object. He then output this to an iPad and everything worked fine. I've tried to replicate this as follows:
Draw a box around part of a map, convert it to a buttonCreate a stack of photo-images in separate frames, Select all of them and create a New Multi-State ObjectSelect Hidden until triggered option for the multi-state ObjectSet the Button properties: On Roll-over, Go to State nnnnn (where nnnnn is one of the images in the multi-object state) This works perfectly in the SWF previewer, but when I output to Adobe Content Viewer the hotspots don't work, and the top-most object in the multi-state object always shows all the time.
Also, I've inserted a video (MP4) file but it doesn't show in the Content Viewers either. I get sound on the dekstop Content Viewer, but nothing on my Android phone.
I have many documents I need to convert to HTML. I need the images in the documents to be links. This has worked fine, according to normal procedures if the images are png, jpg, or gifs. However, most of my images are not those formats. So if I have an eps, pdf, and tiff in my document, upon html export, there is no hyperlink. That is, the <a href></a> tags are not in the HTML at all. But if I convert the images to png, jpeg, or gifs, put them in my document, then choose that file format for conversion, the links work fine.
I want to say there is an issue with the link tags upon file conversion. It could be something else, but I am not sure why it works for certain file formats and not others. I figured ID would keep the association with the hyperling after converting an image from say and eps to jpg. Any way to keep hyperlinks for images after exporting to HTML.
(I can obviously add the link tags myself in the HTML, or convert the images myself and put them in the docs, but I have many documents and would like some automated way.)
Been working forever on a lengthy project with lotsa text and lotsa of photos inline with the text.
Whenever I do any minor modifications anywhere in the text or spacing, of course all the photos move to the wrong places.
Unless the photo is a small one and is placed truly within the text, in which case I can anchor it and it stays where it belongs.
but sometimes the photos w/captions (grouped) take up a full page.
Then there is no text on the page to anchor them to.
Is there anyway to anchor them to the text on the previous page?
