I have Illustrator CS 5 and until 3 days ago I use to receive notifications when a placed image or link was updated outside of Illustrator. It has now stopped. Did I accidentally turn off a preference I didn't know of?

Can you do this or must you subscribe to all threads?I could not find a way just to monitor a single thread, or a number of specific threads, as opposed to all threads.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI decided to use Data Link Tables for my Excel sheet instead of OLELinks. The appearance is far sharper, and I am also pleased there is no background color transfered. What IS the problem is when I update the table, its goes from 12" Wide by 12" Tall table @ 7/16" Text W/O borders back to 3" Wide by 10" Tall with varying text size to fit and gains back all borders except diagonals (of which none are present on the Excel file).
So, any way to default the format when I refresh so that it holds each cell at the 6"X1" dimensions with no border.
With that, If there is a way to have a stencil for making the range links with Excel, that would be useful. I use the exact same 4 or 6 ranges (2 formats) in every dwg.
I've made a template file which includes several linked files (logo's in different shapes).
I've made a map and within that map the template file (.pdf) and 3 linked logofiles (.eps files)
I thought when I copy all 4 in a new map (for a new customer) and changed the 3 linked logofiles and then opened the newly copied template file in Illustrator...
that the template file would include the new logo's. But the links still point to the origial 3 logo files.
Is there a way to link the files within the map where the template file is??
in my Link window I still see the linke to an image that i have as embedded as well. How do I delete the link ? I didn't see a delete function in the link window, respectively in the dropdown of the window.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI placed a .psd image in Illustrator CS5 at 100% at 600ppi. My link information is telling me that it is at 600ppi. But when I do a 90degree rotation, my link information is now telling me that I have a picture resolution of 859ppi x 420ppi. Why is that? From what I know and learned, a resolution doesn't change except when we change the scaling of an image but not rotating it.
This made me wonder because when we receive files from customer with embed images, how can I know that this image wasn't rotated and that the link informations panel is giving me the right numbers?
I have a document with several artboards. In each artboard is a different linked image. Is there a way to add the linked filename to the bottom of each artboard?

Yesterday I updated Safari to latest version released this past week from Apple at the same time as the Mountain Lion OS. I have Photoshop CS5 Extended on this computer. Now when I open PS, with nothing else running, and click "Help" on the Photoshop file menu bar I can only receive information relating to the iMac operation system using the "search" option.
Example: When I select Help and type "tools" in the search field I see "menu" items relating to tools in PS but the "help topics" only shows topics relation to OS Lion, like "Customize the Finder Toolbar" why I cannot access the help manual for PS?
I am facing problem with SaveAs API which is when called to save the top drawing of one or above level structure we don’t receive call back for “SaveComplete” event. When we call SaveAs API, it is expected to receive first call back for BeginSave event and then SaveComplete event. But we don’t receive the call back for SaveComplete event.Below is the scenario:
Create a drawing say, “TopDrawing” and attach another drawing (as xRef) say “ChildDrawing” to the “TopDrawing”.
Save the drawings.Now modify the “ChildDrawing”.After this we are using following SaveAs API for the “TopDrawing”.

Observations: After using this API we receive call back for “BeginSave” event. But we are not receiving call back for “SaveComplete” event.Due to this we are not able to save the TopDrawing after the modification of its reference. This issue is observed in more than one level structures also.This is observed with AutoCAD2010,11,12 and 13.
Expected Results:
We should receive call back to SaveComplete following to the call back for BeginSave event in order to save the structure correctly. What needs to be done if I want to get result as I am expecting after using SaveAS API.Also provide me the information about the libraries which are used for SaveAs function.
As of yesterday I am unable to save templates. At first I thought it may be an error with the project that I was working on, but I've opened up old projects and tried to resave those as a new template and I receive an error.
If I create a new project and try to save it as a template, I also receive this error.
I use Cyrillic parts of text in my lisp programs. But when I start lisp in AutoCAD 2013 Mac for OSX, in text fields I received only hieroglyphics. I try to use different text encoding for lisp file, but i receive only different hieroglyphs, not Cyrillic text.
