I am receiving an error when I open photoshop cs5.1 [Adobe PS error]: Parameter is missing [shell:161]. I originally had Photoshop installed as a trial and just entered in the purchased license. I did not have this problem during the trail period.

If I create a new project and try to save it as a template, I also receive this error.
I wonder if we can play with a revit family file ; for example modify parameter values without opening revit.

have encountered an error message on opening Lightroom 4 using Windows 7 Pro 32 bit.
The message is saying - Error in reading preview cache.
I'm using the "Part Number" parameter inside a block of text in my drawing, but when I export it to AutoCAD DXF 2010 format, the text in the exported file shows up as "<PART NUMBER>", instead of displaying the actual part number.

I had a client send in an ad in pdf format. When you look at the preview on the screen all the images are there, however when you open it in photoshop one the words disappears when I try to open it in CMYK mode (that's how it was saved). However, when I open it in RGB mode all the words are there, then I can convert it to CMYK. I'm just trying to figure out why it didn't show up in CMYK but works in RGB mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am downloading Tiff images from a partners website. After extracting the file and opening from Photoshop CS5.1 it's only displaying one of the original image layers. For example and image with two guys shaking hands in an office is only opening the clipped two guys and not showing the backgroud. The vendor says the files open fine on their end which leads me to believe its a download or photoshop issue.

My problem is i need to have the rule kickout an error when (ARM_TYPE= "none"). I can do this by changing the "ARM_ANGLE" parameter from a Numaric to Text format (see below). The problem here is that "ARM_ANGLE" is used in several more ilogic rule calculations generating other parameter values which also need to kick out an "error"

I have an iMac running OS Lion. System purchased in Dec, 2011. Yesterday I updated Safari to latest version released this past week from Apple at the same time as the Mountain Lion OS. I have Photoshop CS5 Extended on this computer. Now when I open PS, with nothing else running, and click "Help" on the Photoshop file menu bar I can only receive information relating to the iMac operation system using the "search" option.
Example: When I select Help and type "tools" in the search field I see "menu" items relating to tools in PS but the "help topics" only shows topics relation to OS Lion, like "Customize the Finder Toolbar" why I cannot access the help manual for PS?
When I try and open CS6 I keep getting a message with Error 213:19. How can I fix this?

With some others I have no problem at all.
Have restored PS preferences (hold down cmd+alt+shift while starting PS CC) , try to change default printer, try to uinstall ad reinstall PS CC with no success.
I get this error message upon startup:There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents. I can however print pictures with window's photo printing wizard so I know my printer is setup and selected. Can anyone tell me what I need to do in order to have photoshop CS4 recognize that my printer exists and is selected?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHad no problem installing the PS CS4 (update from CS3). On opening PS the first time, and every time after, I receive an error message:
"OWL Orphanage: Photoshop.exe - entry point not found."
This is followed by a bunch of numbers or addresses. After I shut the message, the program opens normally, and as farr as I've explored it, functions OK. Haven't had time to really explore things.
Any idea what is producing this message?

We have re-imaged our school district computers with XP SP3 and IE7, and now on Creative Suite CS3, only Photoshop will not open as a student. It opens only as administrator and students get the runtime error. All other apps in the Suite work fine. They worked with the same install job before the updates, and reverting back is not an option.
