InDesign :: How Can A Button Be Turned Back Into Regular Object
Feb 25, 2014
Once an object is converted to a button how can it be changed back (have the button properties removed?) There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to do this, but I can't imagine Adobe hasn't allowed for this...
I use my Object Styles palette all the time. I moved it to one side so that I could use two different palettes. Instead of grabbing it to move it back I accidently deleted it. How do I get it back?
I added an Axis FX to the clip on the timeline and entered the Editor. Everything looks fine. I see the clip loaded above the control parameters. The "Layer" button is turned on. Stabilizer/Track is set to Track. When i click on the Stabilizer button to enter the tracking editor, I see the tracking box on a black screen, the clip is not visible anymore.
Edited a corridor section. Hit some button (not sure what) now I can't get back to my regular view. If I select the "Top" view, now all that shows up is one contour, and the top of one cross section, like it's only showing stuff that is at one elevation.
For some reason, I'm not able to get my Mask Mode button "turned on" -- the Help section pointed to "Window > Mask mode on" -- but even though a shape / object / photo is selected, mask features always remain unavailable.
I was working with a document in PS and I must have inadvertantly done something to turn my background sceen to black. How do I return it to the standard white?
I accidentally converted a path to a text path. I searched the forum for how to convert it back to a regular path. The answer I found said to select the path and hit Command+C+F. This gives me another text path! I now have at least 6 copies of the path in my files but they are ALL text paths and none are visible with a stroke.
Is there an anchor tool that will do this? The aec object is actually a Autocad MEP pipeobject but should fall under the AEC umbrella. I am inserting some blocks at specific pipe locations through dotnet and would like to anchor the blocks to the pipes in case the pipes have to move.
When opening a document in InDesign CS6 it says the program has stopped and has to close. When I go to open the document again, it says the document might have been damaged.
Also, when I am finally in the document and select the text tool, I can only type text, it won't let me change the font color or do anything for that matter. I can't even change back to the selection tool.
I am new to In Design having come from years with QuarkXpress. I need to put an 8 page owners manual together. The front & back pages have to be set up properly for the printer. How is this don in ID?
I have successfully changed a background using the Layers feature. Part of that process was copying and pasting by Edit--Copy and Edit--Paste in Cs4. I've done it only once,
and now that I am onto a new image that I'd like to copy, the Copy button is greyed out, and all I am allowed to select is Paste and when I select that, it only pastes the image I'd done the first time. I've closed out Photoshop twice, and it is still doing the same thing. I just want my Copy button back...
But imagine the huge dismay felt when this dedicated user updated GIMP to 2.8.6 and found there was no maximise button any more! Is there anyway to get this button back??
I use it regularly as part of my work-flow, and now I find this once fantastic app pretty much rendered useless to me.
Not having the maximise button also doesn't allow me to see the bottom part of the program's window, so the bottom slider is useless to me.
Not having this pretty much puts my budding photography on-hold, as I resent having to pay an extortionate amount for Gimp's closest 'worthy' competition. That, and photosh*t doesn't play nice with Linux anyway.
Also, I don't have the ready cash to rush out and buy a larger monitor (for a laptop thats screen size works well for all other apps) just to use Gimp.
For some reason points are still visible when the layer they are on is turned off. Also the layer is green but the point is red. Color is set to ByLayer.
Since i updated PS (CS6) the last time it has this very strange behavior when i try to position a object via the Arrow Keys. When i hit a Button very fast (3 times) the object jumps back to its very first position where i started to move it.
When it is a new "feature" - where can i turn it off?
When I am browsing to open drawings for some reson the back button doesn't work with the ACA2011 file browser. The mouse button works fine with all other applications so am I correct to assume something is wrong with the ACA file browser?
I have a continuously moving looping slide show that has back and next buttons. When you press the next button it should move forward one where ever it is on the timeline every time you click it and the same for the back button.
This is the code I am using but the the problem is that it goes to else {sym.play("one");} when the button is clicked. No matter where in the timeline the next button is clicked, it goes back to number one. I don't know much about coding and I have tried everything to fix this but I am stuck.
var pos = sym.getPosition() if (pos <= "one"){ sym.play("twenty"); } else if (pos <= "two"){ sym.play("three"); }
I used to use the 'back' button all the time in my old windows version of PSE organiser. I have now bought PSE 11 for my new macbook and finding that all the reasons I wanted to use PSE organiser rather than iPhoto are fast evaporating with this version. One of them is the 'back' button. If I scroll down down down a long way and find a particular photo and then deliberately or even accidentally, change the view to see data (that incidentally I used to be able to see in the same view on the info side pane such as folder location ....) then I lose my place in the media display and cant get back there like I used to. and have to hunt for the photo again. Similarly when I select a tag to display the selection containing that tag and then want to return to the previous main media display I return to the top, rather than wherever I had progressed to. This didn't happen in my old windows version. I cant understand why the developers would think it was a great idea to remove this facility, but I cant find it. It was invaluable when I was going back through the catalogue to old photos and adding tags or other info.
I have a website banner made in edge with links to other pages of the site. The banner itself is within an iframe (Generally I avoid iframes but I had no option with this one). If you click a link, it will take you to the right page. However if you click the browser's back button, the original page begins to load but quickly redirects you forward again, thus virtually removing the back buttons functionality. However if I click "back" a second time, it works.
Another peculiar thing is that when the page loads, the contents of the page that I am navigating to start to load within the iframe before it redirects. I tried adding "_parent" as a target attribute to all my links but the problem remains. Does edge automatically detect iframe usage and assign link targets to the _parent frame with jQuery?
I used object snap tracking for years.Since I upgraded to AutoCad 2014 why does object snap tracking only work with Dynamic input turned on?
Personally I do not like to work with Dynamic imput on, when I use object snap tracking with out DI turned on it doen't work right. Past versions worked fine. What do I do to get this back?
One of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.
When I'm editing pix, and need a quick large solid brush for a couple seconds, (1-inch dia), I slide "scale", but it's nearly impossible to manually rest scale back to default without restarting Gimp...
Can there be a dot-button beside scale that auto-sets scale back to default..? and/or a timer on scale changes that resets scale back to default after ten-seconds..?
I changed something, the back of faces does not render in the viewport and I also cant select the back of faces. Also even with a two sided material the back of faces is not lit.
I've recently moved to CS6. My object styles panel is blank.
THe panel is there with no info inside it. When i open the same job on another machine with the same specs as mine, the artwork is fine and i can see my object styles. WHen I open old artwork that has object styles set, I cannot see them, but again are fine on another machine.
I would like to make an object appear (one animation) and then have it move around (another animation) but can't seem to find a way to apply more than one animation to a single object.
I am trying to add alt tags to objects in an InDesign CS5 project. The guidance I can find tells me to go to Object > Object Export Options. The problem I have is, there is no Object Export Options option available..
