Apr 11, 2013The problem seems to happen ins CS5 and CS6 as well. We have a complex piece of artwork for a foil blister and we use a paragraph of text that has 3 transforms applied to which effectively step and repeat the paragraph of text in a repeat pattern across the artwork. This setup very precisely as it needs to be 100% accurate for print purposes as several units are printed side by side and the repeat runs across the units. Everything is setup correctly in Illustrator and then we re-save as a PDF with 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' on.
We genearally save as a PDF 1.6 but we have tried all the combinations now. The file still looks perfect in Illustrator but when the PDF is opened in Acrobat (any version) the step and repeat (transform) on the paragraph of text is now no longer in alignment on onside of the artwork but still OK on one side. No matter what we do we can't fix this problem andit's recreatable each time. Also it's not file specific as we can build a new file and it will also exhibit the problem. We're only talking about a tiny jump here - <0.2mm but this means the artwork is out of spec.

Jan 7, 2006Windows, of course, does not allow thumbnail preview of PSD format. Is there a simple way of previewing PSD's without opening each one within PSCS?
I have many PSD slides (to preserve layering for subsequent changes) and all that appears within Windows Explorer/Viewer is the PSD/logo and name of the file.

Lightroom :: 4 - How To View RAW And JPG Files
Mar 23, 2012I know there is the option to "treat jpg as seperate files" in the library, but i feel it clutters up the library so i tend to avoid this. However, if i treat them as the same, the JPG does get saved into the hard-drives directories, but it isn't visible at all in LR. I understand that this is by design, but what is the point of it then, if there is no way for me to look at the jpg (e.g. for comparison).
so my question: is there a way to see the jpg file, unless i treat it as a seperate file (and hence de facto duplicate the number of images in my library)? what i am looking for, is occasionally being able to view that jpg that has been saved to the directory.

Nov 22, 2010I just installed Ulead VideoStudio 10 on Windows 7 and am having problem viewing .avi files even the sample ones with the installation, also the audio is not working. everything works fine on Windows XP. Is there a patch or Ulead VideoStudio 10 is not compatible with Windows 7?

Although JPG files are displayed where no RAW files exist, JPEG files are not displayed where corresponding RAW (CR2) files exist. I am now working on files from 5 - 20 GB each, 30 - 50,000 pixels, and am stuck using Bridge to go thru them, which takes forever to create thumbnails, and is often unreliable, as every now and then Bridge will just refuse to create a thumbnail for a certain image or 2 and drives me crazy.
Am currently using CS3.
Yes I know this is an older version, I just wish there was a more efficient way to preview large files. PS obviously generates a flattened image preview every time u save, but the previews Bridge uses are fairly low res to my eye, yet it still takes ridiculously long to load each one, which I dont understand if during the save that preview image should be 'in' the file anyway.

Apr 9, 2013I am a CS6 user, good but not advanced. I recently upgraded from a Nikon D3 to a D4. When viewing D4 files in Bridge after downloading the images (files) appear to contain a lot of noise and to be unsharpe; they appear sharp on the LCD screen on the camera. I believe I have set my preferences properly. When the files are opened in CR or CS6 the noise seems to go away and sharpness is normal; the images print up tack sharp.

Have tried to install the 5.7 camera raw update, extract files, click on application, then Photoshop opens and advises "invalid file type". Not sure what to do now and have a large number of wedding files slowly building up .

Dec 19, 2012Using Vista 64 Viewing PSP files with explorer has proven to be a pain. I have installed Fast Picture Viewer and the PSP file handler and none do anything. I have folder options setup correctly. With X2 I had no problems but starting with X4 and now X5 I have to guess what the file is by the name. I only save PSP files when in layers. PSD don't show either when in layers but do show as a single file (not PSP though). There must be some way to see a thumbnail. I can't even see them from within PSPX5 itself while in Edit mode until I open it up. Why does Corel not make at Codex so we can view their own product properly. Also I know I can browse using the Manage section of PSP but prefer not too as it has alway been too buggy, I only use the edit section.

But I don't see a good way to lock them that is fool proof, and am not sure what such a question would be listed under in the help index. May 18, 2012I have a project of a residential building, made in ADT2011. The building has 17 levels. Levels from 2nd to 17th are identical. They created as an element linked to constructs. The other levels created as constructs.
I also have different view files for elevations, sections and perspectives.
The problem is that I can not control display configuration of objects in view files. The thing that I need is to turn off balconies' glasses in curtain walls of the elevation view files (To see what is behind the glass in 2d elevations). Now to achieve it, I have to turn off glasses in the original element file. But in that case the glass disappears also in plans, sections and perspective views, where I need it.
The question is: Can I control the visibility of the default infills for curtain walls independently for different view files?
AutoCAD Inventor :: Drawing Files View Icon?
Nov 5, 2013I have two problems with a IDW drawing.
Most of my views have been crosed over by a red line in the Model browser window (se attachment) What does this red line meen?
Also, all the views with the red line have been set to Raster View Only. I can untick it without problems, but when I click OK and reopen the dialog the checkmark is back on.
How come inventor turns this mark on by itself?
