Photoshop :: Noise And Sharpness When View Files In Bridge?
Apr 9, 2013
I am a CS6 user, good but not advanced. I recently upgraded from a Nikon D3 to a D4. When viewing D4 files in Bridge after downloading the images (files) appear to contain a lot of noise and to be unsharpe; they appear sharp on the LCD screen on the camera. I believe I have set my preferences properly. When the files are opened in CR or CS6 the noise seems to go away and sharpness is normal; the images print up tack sharp.
Was just trying to view pictures from my camera in Bridge and more than half of them in this one directory aren't showing thumbnails or EXIF data, just the CR2 icon and incorrect creation date and time (they were all shot the same day, most within minutes of each other, yet they're a week off). If I double click on the icon, the image opens up correctly in the CR2 plug-in. They worked before, I've opened and closed Bridge and PS, I've purged the cache, but it's still not working.
Somehow I have lost the ability to size the right side of my Bridge panel. It is too large and I cannot bring the right side border into view to see my Metadata and Preview Panels. Also the numbering of the thumbnails is lost "off the screen".
While processing a images from this past weekend taken with the 5D Mark III... Images taken at high ISO (6400 and 12,800) with no noise reduction show a very clear criss-cross pattern across the image faintly. Once you apply about 20 on the NR slider, it will go away. I do not see this with the in-camera JPEG's or with Canon's DPP software with no NR applied to the RAW files. Is this a known issue that will be corrected for the final release of 4.1?
Here is a crop showing this happening. It is not limited to just dark or light parts of the image, but the entire thing.
When I resize and export my RAW files to JPG in Lightroom 4, my photos with hight ISO (1600-6400) picks up noise. Same photo export without resize is ok.
how I can retain sharpness while enlarging a graphic. I'm doubling the size of a graphic and it's getting really fuzzy. I tried the sharpen filters, but they just make it more boxy.
Windows cannot find C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Photoshop.exe
I installed Photoshop CS6 Upgrade (64bit and 32Bit) to my PC which ran CS5 Extended. When I deleted CS5, Bridge stopped opening files, whether I double clicked on the file or did Open with: I get the same error message.
just upgraded from CS5 to CS6 (originally had CS3) now when trying to load images which were loaded in 2002 when using CS3 I get an error message 'windows cannot find C:Program files(x86)Adobe PhotoshopCS3Photoshop.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly then try again' I assume that there is an association with a file that no longer exists how can I change this?
When I click on a file in Bridge to view within Bridge the file Opens in Photoshop. This has only just started to happen and is a real annoyance....how do I revert to only opening in Photoshop with a double click
We have several options in Bridge for opening files ... we can always open in the RAW editor ...BUT if we simply want to OPEN directly to CS4 > when we right click to OPEN the image >it goes directly to our EMAIL ? Can not find a spot in PREFERENCES to change this function ?
Am using CS5 and Windows 7. Whenever I drag or use the Move command in Bridge to move a file from one folder to another I get the most feared message "Adobe Bridge has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close ...you know the rest". I should also say the files are in fact moved, and I am able to relaunch Bridge immediately.
Sometime in the past few days my files that have been made with Fireworks will not show up when I use Bridge. They used to show up just fine so I don't know why they suddenly won't show up now. how to fix this so they will show up like they used to?
I shot two D3s last night and downloaded both cards. One the NEF files preview like normal and the other has NEF files that won't preview but open in Photoshop just fine.
CR2 files ,I can't see CR2 files in adobe bridge when I open Adobe Photoshop cs5- help- about plugins- no camera raw plugins. When i go Edit- preference and click on camera raw shows message that Adobe camera raw plugin cannot be found
I am using CS4 Bridge 3.0.0.0.464 When I double click on a JPG file it opens in Photoshop. I prefer to edit my JPG files with Bridge camera RAW. At present, I have to right-click and choose 'open in camera RAW'. Is there a workaround for this?
I process files in ACR and then save them in a folder as jpg I go back to Bridge and when I move the selected RAW files to another folder the jpgs move to the new folder with the RAW files. Even though the jpgs I created are not selected they move to the same folder. The thumbnails in Bridge have a small circle in the upper right hand corner with two tiny arrows pointing up. I do not know what these circles represent or if they have anything to do with my problem. I would like to be able to move the selected RAW files to another folder without having the jpgs moved to this file. Again, the jpgs are not selected and the RAW files are selelcted.
I changed my preferences to remove the check-box "prefer Adobe camera RAW for Jpeg and TIFF files" , restarted Bridge and tried to open a JPEG from bridge directly into photoshop. But double clicking on the image in bridge opened "paint".
So I change the Bridge preferences back to Prefer ACR for JPEG again, restart Bridge, and then bridge tells me that it cannot find Photoshop CS2. CS2 is not even loaded on this machine anymore.
So then I go to the file type associations preferences and "browse" to the CS3 version of photoshop, restart bridge, and double click on a JPEG and it again says that CS2 cannot be found. I change the association again using the "browse" to CS3 and then it opens the image up in "Paint" again.
Why won't Bridge open JPEG's in ACR anymore?
Why won't bridge open JPEG's in Photoshop CS3 anymore?
I pasted an image to a signature that I'm making. It had to scale down A LOT before I could fit it in. Now it looks all pixelated and crappy. How do I sharpen it like it was when it was regualar size?
I'm using Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP. Problem: I have a large JPG image which I want to reduce considerably in size and then place in a PageMaker document, when I try to do this the image loses clarity.
How can I retain sharpness while reducing the size of the image? The image is 108cm x 81 cm at 72 ppi. I want to reduce it to about 5cm x 4cm and change the resolution to 300 ppi. Can anyone help me with this??
I recently upgraded from cs5 to cs6, I have downloaded upgrades for photoshop, bridge, camera raw, and adobe dng converter.
My problem is that the raw dng, and raf raw files from my fuji x-e1 camera are showing up in bridge as icons only, and not as thumbnails. How do I get the files to show as thumbnails. if I double click they will open in camera raw and i can see the pic there.
Photoshop/Bridge prevents deleting files. After I'm done with a job I store it on the server then try to delete the folder or files I've finished from my desktop. No can do.
I found I have to shut down Photoshop and Bridge then I can move the stuff into trash.
