View 3 RepliesIllustrator keeps freezing when applying an effect such as texture-grain to a simple gradient, or even rasterizing a simple black circle. My system is about a 6month old macbook pro with 16gb ram, i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB. What could be causing this? It wasn't like this when i first started using the laptop but has started to do it everytime i try and do any of those simple tasks recently.

What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?

My temp file is on my local drive, but all of our drawings are stored on a network drive. It seems to me I remember these things storing up over time with crashes, etc. But as they build up performance seems to dwindle.

Im currently trying to draw a layout for a simple angle iron part using the front, side, and angled view. Its a flat part made of sheetmetal and it will get 1 90* bend in it.
My first question is how do i bend a part in autocad LT 2011? Ive been using autocad for years but ive never had a request for an angled view.
My second question is how would i create a layout using all 3 views and include the info block in the bottom right displaying all the info?
I need to export a .SHP file containing some polygons to a GIS user so he can lay the shapes in a GIS map. The data he needs from me is the outlines of several wetlands I've designed in C3D 2010. There isn't any elevation data associated with the outlines. They are just traced waterlines from each pool set into a layer called "permanent pools." He wants these to show location in a GIS plan.
When I try to MAPEXPORT, and then selct each of my 10 pool outlines, it says "no object selected" in the command line.
I'm using ACA 2012 with Windows 7 Pro x64 in a stand-alone environment. Lately it seems that even running a very simple script file takes multiple minutes where it used to take 1 or 2 seconds. Also, the script no longer scrolls through the 4 or 5 commamd lines I show at the bottom of the monitor; it just lays there like an egg. This behavior is common to all of my scripts. Also, saves seem to be taking a lot longer than before. I've turned virus protection off to no avail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with loading the paint layers on my object.
I created an object in another software and then imported it into Mudbox. Here I started painting the object, but when I close and re-open Mudbox I get the error: "Failed to load texture files both ... and ..." (my two paint layers). I had this same error two days ago on a similar object, when I moved only the ".mud" file to a different location, but then I realized I need to move also the ".bak" file and the folder containing the layers into that new location and the error was solved. This time, the .mud, .bak and the folder are all in the same location, they all have the same name but I still get the error. When I open Mudbox I just get my object as it was when I imported it, with no painting on it (even though the two paint layers appear in the "Layers" tab), and with the error mentioned above.
My designer just sent me some background texture files in jpg format but they actually need to be in png. Am I able to convert these jpg to png without losing quality, or do I need to ask her to generate the png from the original file?

Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?

I have many PSD slides (to preserve layering for subsequent changes) and all that appears within Windows Explorer/Viewer is the PSD/logo and name of the file.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI know there is the option to "treat jpg as seperate files" in the library, but i feel it clutters up the library so i tend to avoid this. However, if i treat them as the same, the JPG does get saved into the hard-drives directories, but it isn't visible at all in LR. I understand that this is by design, but what is the point of it then, if there is no way for me to look at the jpg (e.g. for comparison).
so my question: is there a way to see the jpg file, unless i treat it as a seperate file (and hence de facto duplicate the number of images in my library)? what i am looking for, is occasionally being able to view that jpg that has been saved to the directory.

I just installed Ulead VideoStudio 10 on Windows 7 and am having problem viewing .avi files even the sample ones with the installation, also the audio is not working. everything works fine on Windows XP. Is there a patch or Ulead VideoStudio 10 is not compatible with Windows 7?

Although JPG files are displayed where no RAW files exist, JPEG files are not displayed where corresponding RAW (CR2) files exist. Yes I know this is an older version, I just wish there was a more efficient way to preview large files. PS obviously generates a flattened image preview every time u save, but the previews Bridge uses are fairly low res to my eye, yet it still takes ridiculously long to load each one, which I dont understand if during the save that preview image should be 'in' the file anyway.
