Illustrator SDK :: AIDocument - GetDocument Fails With AIErr DOC?
Oct 2, 2012
I am trying in Illustrator 64 on Windows through a plugin to open document and get the documents setup.My code is as follows.
Â
I first acquire the required Suites ( AIDocument, AIDocumentList, AIFilePath etc ) and all the Suites are acquired with NO Errors and have valid pointers
Â
AIErr err = kNoErr;
//Get the page information
 AIDocumentHandle theDocument;
ai::UnicodeString uniPath( "C:\test.ai");
ai::FilePath fpath(uniPath) ;
err = sAIDocumentList->Open( fpath, kAIUnknownColorModel,kDialogOff,
false, &theDocument ); Â
[code]....
I have also tried using AIDocument->GetDocument and AIDocumentList->Activate both after opening the document and they also return DOC?, though the theDocument Handle returned by open document appears to be valid.
I installed Adobe CS6 on a new Windows 7 64 system. When I try to save for web (64 or 32), I get the error "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [CANT]".  Somebody suggested that the problem is that I lack the correct runtimes, or they need updating? But WHAT runtimes? MVSC 2008? MVSC 2010? .NET? What version or versions of .NET?
I have just updated Illustrator CC to v17.1 and now it will no longer launch.There is a bouncing icon in the dock for about a second and then no activity, no warnings or errors.My mac is quite old (MacPro5.1 Quad-core running osx 10.6.8) which may well be the problem.Never the less Illustrator 17.0 ran perfectly well prior to the update. Â Uninstalling Illustrator 17.1 and reinstalling v17.0 works.If Illustrator is allowed to update as recommended it no longer launches.Is there something in the update that prevents my older spec mac from running it?
Is it me or is 'save for web' totally broken in Illustrator CS6, when saving a file with a space in the filename? First it says the file already exists (whether or not this is the case) and when I click 'replace' it just doesn't do anything. Tried with different files, even after relaunching Illustrator.
Just started a pen tool exercise in illustrator, at some point while using the pen tool I don't know why or how it happens but my screen stops "updating", "refreshing" or "drawing" while I drag it with the hand tool. What I mean is that if I start dragging with the hand, the rulers move as normal, but anything inside just stays a still picture and only when I release the mouse button is the screen changed to where I have dragged. Although the very edges of the artboard/workspace near the rulers behave normaly, I can see bits and pieces flying past there, but it's like there's this big square at the center of my screen that is a still image. Â The problem is only inside Illustrator, the rest of my computer and screen behave normally. Â I am using Windows XP SP 3, all updates 'n' stuff.
The background is a gradient mesh(ignore the crosses). I used eyedropper tool(shift-click/normal-click both gave the same result) on the background and it gave me a strange result. As you see the back ground is blue-to-black gradation but the color picked is green-ish from nowhere.
Using transform tool to rotate, often gradients do not rotate. In the example below only the "w" gradient did. Good news is the rotate tool works fine.  Appears this has something to do with compound paths, as this normally does not happen on a new single path. Releasing the compound also rotates the gradient unexpectedly.
Photoshop 11.0 on Mac OS X 10.7.3 Â After reinstalling Photoshop on my new iMac I'm unable to run the 11.0.2 upgrade installer. It tells me that 11.0.2 is "already installed".The "About" box in Photoshop shows the version as 11.0.
My old computer had meltdown, smoke and all so i have bult a a new one but PS 4 Extended wont install correctly on Win 7 64 bit. it will get about 75% on the progress bar and then says it failed and do I want to continue. My install is a download version. I dont see it on my Adobe account anymore to download a new copy.  the compute is a Intel i5, 10 G of ram that I have been running Premiere Pro CS4 on with no problem.
I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 trial on a Alienware MX17 Windows 7 64bit laptop, and it fails everytime. My videoo drivers are the latest it's possible to get, I also have all the latest windows updates installed. It goes through to the "Currently Installing Adobe Fonts Recommended x64" and hangs there.
It does not quit, the minutes remaining just keeps getting longer and longer. I left it running overnight once just in case is was very slow for some reason, the next morning when I checked it, it was in the same place, same percentage and the time remaining was several weeks. I've tried using the Installer, I've manually downloaded it. Neither work. I've tried with and without Administer rights.
The Adobe Support Assistant does give me the "The computer wants to reboot" error a few times, but there was never a "inprogress" entry in the registry as suggested by[URL]...Here is a link to my latest log file. This is a brand new laptop, the only Adobe products installed are acrobat and reader.p[URL]...
I spent several hours putting together a compilation music video for my first time use in Corel VS Pro X4. When I was finally satisfied with what I'd created, I went to the tab to Share.I selected the setting for YouTube, named the file and saved.It started rendering, reached 21% and then nothing. The rendering box simply disappeared and ceased to do anymore.
I've tried 5 times since to render in different and varying formats, but each time it reaches 21% and then cops out, with the render box disappearing, despite the fact nothing has been touched.
My friend installed the program for me so I could try out hers before deciding to buy my own copy... but if this is what its going to be like, then I definitely won't be spending the money on it.
Using Vista 64-bit, installed PS CS4 the other day. I have been using the 64 bit version fine with no problems. However, I downloaded a plugin that only works in the 32-bit version, so I tried to launch the 32-bit version from the start menu, and the splash screen comes up for a few seconds, then an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working". The splash screen is stuck on "Building TWAIN menu items..." This also happens when I try to start the program from the photoshop.exe in Program Files (x86) folder.
I installed LR 2.3RC a day or two ago and life seemed fine until I installed two plugins for CS4: Nik Sharpener and OnOne PhotoFrame 4.0
Now when I attempt to open images from LR, CS4 opens up but the image never appears and LR pops up an error message saying "The image could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CS4 failed to launch"
It gets halted when initializing palettes... I get the error: "Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 10.0.1.0, faulting module adobeowl.dll, version 1.0.92.0, fault address 0x00069b7d." the computer lab has other computers with the same hardware configuration . On those computers Photoshop works smoothly I am using Win XP sp2.
The Photoshop 7.0.1 update fails when I try to run it on Windows XP Pro. I have reproduced this error two times, once on a fresh installation of Photoshop 7. I receive a ComponentMoveData Error: Media Name: data Component: FileGroup: File: .
I am trying to install the Photoshop CS4 trial version on Windows 7 x64. After the two files download I run the exe file and it extracts all the files from the .7z file. Nothing happens after that, and if I goto the extracted files and try to run setup.exe it says that windows cannot find the specified file, and I might not have sufficient permissions. I am running this under my account with administrator privileges though.

I do have several versions of Elements. [I don't want to run CS3Cleanup at level 4.] My Acrobat reader may be version 6 [as I use Foxit]. Tried this several more times. Same result.
I get no error messages, no console messages. Just fails within a split second of trying to run.
What is gimp-console-x.x.exe?
I tried running both with verbose and this is the output:. note gimp returns instantly, having died? gimp-console blocks, after mentioning it would load script-fu. Does this imply it crashed there?
As stated in the thread, my Gimp program had just started to stop loading today, after it was working fine earlier this afternoon. I either select the program itself or an xcf file, and it starts to load with the green bar and everything. At about 3/4 into loading, right when it gets to "Tool Presets", windows informs me the program has stopped working and says it will notify me if it finds a solution.
Lightroom fails to export to jpg most of the time. The application creates the desired subfolder, and displays a progress bar, but does not create the file.
Open application, within 15sec there is a white empty pop up rectangular box on screen and my hour glass ticks away. Can not start the program/open a file. Force quit trigger shows "Photoshop not responding".  Reboot my MaC did not sort this. Checked with CC and the PS is up to date.  Should I re-download the app?
I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop cs6 just to test it, but it fails to launch. A Window comes up once I start it and I says "Photoshop has encountered a problem and needs to shut down", and obviously I can't even start it to see what it might be.  I have tried everything, removing and re-installing etc.. I have tried to get customer help but they are unable to give me a proper fix.  When I click at the botton, "To see what data this error report contains, click here."  AppName: photoshop.exe          AppVer: 13.0.0.0          ModName: photoshop.exe ModVer: 13.0.0.0              Offset: 012378bb
When i go into Edit > Remote Connections and enable it, then set a password and click ok, I get the following error:"Could not complete the Remote Connections command because of a program error"  This used to work fine, not sure what has changed. On win7 x64. CS5.5 Extended (12.1), when i try to connect and send a script, I always get: "Error handling network messge". I suppose these two are related?
I'm running Win 7, 32-bit and just picked up LR 4.1 and CS6. I've updated everything to the latest versions. I'm shooting with a Nikon D800.  I'm trying to merge 7 pictures using Merge to HDR Pro. I've tried this using raw files (NEF) and converted JPG files. I select the 7 files, PS comes up with the first picture showing. It starts to process the second picture and the filename changes to something like Untitled_HDR1. After a few seconds, that picture goes away and nothing else happens.

i'm using Photoshop CS6 with Camera Raw 7.0. I have a D800 (which is why I purchased CS6) and attempted to update to CR7.1 I get the following error:  Photoshop Camera Raw 7.1
Update is not applicable. Error Code: U44M1P28 Â I've cleared my prefs, tried the standalone installer, rebooted, all to no avail. Â Here is my system info: Â Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64 Operating System: Mac OS 10.7.2 System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:42, Stepping:7 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, HyperThreading Physical processor count: 4 Logical processor count: 8 Processor speed: 3400 MHz Built-in memory: 16384 MB Free memory: 10271 MB Memory available to Photoshop: 15083 MB
I had an alert to update Photoshop but after three attempts it reaches 56% then fails. It is accompanied by a message to contact customer care and gives the number: U44MIP34. I have retried after a restart but with same result. Then I tried again after running AVG registry cleaner equally without success. Could it be a time difference between US and UK?
I am trying to install CS3 on a new Macbook Pro Retina 13" with Mavericks. All of the CS3 apps except Photoshop installed correctly. Photoshop fails and when I try to launch it returns a message that it cannot be initialized because the disk is not available. I have tried reinstalling it and the installation fails. I tried launching the old copy from the previous computer's disk (now in USB enclosure) and I get the same error message. I tried copying it over to the new HD without success. Tried phone support because it's an older version. CS3 is supposed to be compatible with Mavericks. Since the older copy and the new installation return the same message, I suspect (just a guess) some software issue, perhaps prefs or other files copied over from the old installation.
