When i go into Edit > Remote Connections and enable it, then set a password and click ok, I get the following error:"Could not complete the Remote Connections command because of a program error"
Â
This used to work fine, not sure what has changed. On win7 x64. CS5.5 Extended (12.1), when i try to connect and send a script, I always get: "Error handling network messge". I suppose these two are related?
I use Remote Desktop quite a bit to login to my computer and use programs installed on there. A frequent one is Adobe Photoshop. When I do my work in Remote Desktop everything works great, but when I'm actually at home on my pc it loads everything and the splash screen goes away and then all of a sudden it has "Photoshop CS4 has stopped working" error.
It turns out it is doing this with all of my adobe products. I am using Vista 32-Bit and all the products are CS4. One more thing I noticed is if I open Photoshop in remote desktop then login to my computer I can use it without error.
Is it possible to do remote image rollovers in PS7? For example when I move the mouse over a link text or button an image on another part of the page changes.
If this is not possible in PS can I do it in deamweaver instead? I've seen a tutorial of it done in Fireworks but I dont use fireworks anymore.
I sometimes need to access my parents' PC for various reasons (ie. changing colour settings/fixing email probs) when I'm away from home. On our old Mac we used to use Timbuktu, which was quite good, but now we have a PC I believe there are better PC-PC remote access tools.
Can you do remote rollovers in Image ready 7? I have only found tutorials on doing them in CS and using the web bar. PS 7 does not have this web bar so I am unable to follow the tutorial which says you have to drag the pickwhip icon up to the layer that you want to be your remote rollover area.
found these two things under the Window option in Photoshop CS4...i'm not sure if they are new or not, but i'm also not sure they are working properly. I understand Kuler....its a color-scheme/inspiration list linked to things you search for, using the internet connection of course. But about Connections....how does this work? It brings up a log-in screen, which you log into using your Adobe ID....so i do that, and then i get this: (image in the attatchment "image.png"). This makes no sense....it looks like its trying to tell me i done something wrong, but i haven't, and it says log out...but also sign in above it, even though i just did. The first time it brought this up, Photoshop crashed with an error report.
I used to be able to clone stamp from a different image than the one I was working on. while using clone stamp I could hover over another image on the desktop, press the alt key and click, and then continue to clone the main image.
I double check that the layer in question is selected etc. but I just get a sort of no access symbol, a circle with a diagonal line across. I can clone okay within the same image but not from a remote one as I could before.
I recently switched from a Windows PC with ACDSee, to a Mac system with Elements 11. I am currently moving files aboout on three different drives and have found that I have to constantly go back manually and search out files to re-establish connections. THis gets to be quite time-consuming as I have over 10,000 pics on these three drives. What am I doing wrong> What is actually happening to these files when I organize them? I am constantly re-filing these pics for different purposes and I thought I could get around this with Elements.
I have many slides, scanned over the past 10 years, with duplicate file names and filed by date. I converted my Elements 9 from PC to iMac and many incorrect connections occured. Is there a way I can correct these connection errors? This problem involves about 5% of my 25,000 photo files.Â
i have just set up remote access from my home laptop to my work computer. for some reason i am having problems with panning using the wheel button on my mouse. instead of panning it acts as a right click function and brings up the menu. Could this just be down to the mouse itself?
I have a network of 18 computers that I currently send Network rendering jobs to whilst on the same network whilst being in the same room as them.
I would like to be able to join the network from a remote location through broadband internet, through the router on that network and submit a job to the manager and access all the files on the network from the remote machine as if I was plugged into the ethernet hub on the network.
how to fix completely black viewports when using Remote Desktop? I can't see my model via remote desktop. It worked fine before. Not sure what changed to make it now not work.
Been using Paint.NET for years, but mainly very simple stuff all revolving around making buttons for various touch screen remotes I've had over the years.
I'm now doing a whole new set of buttons for an iPad app I'm using and one thing's got me stuck. I've downloaded a bunch of TV channel logos (130 x 90) and I want to put them on buttons. The logos all have white backgrounds, but my buttons are dark grey. I can get rid of the white backgound no problem using the magic wand, but that leaves me with the dither to white around the image, and when I put this onto the dark backgound it looks terrible. The dither seems very important due to the small image size. I guess what I'm trying to do is change a 'dither to white' to a 'dither to dark grey'. How do I do this ?
I´ve been building an airplane. After sculpting in rivets and some detail onto the wing i wanted to retopologize to get a lowpoly. But the new surface doesn´t always stick to the original object, when i try to let it go around the whole object it connects the vertices through the wing instead of sticking to the surface. This usually happens when i start at the top of the object-i place loops around it and when i try to close them at the bottom it "steals" the working surface on the top and pulls it down.
I am a relatively new user to LR and I moved a few hundred images on my Mac without realizing that it should have been done through LR. I now have a few hundred broken image links. The tutorial seems to indicate that I must re-connect them one by one. Is this true or is there a ya I can connect multiple images in folders?
I have a question regarding Vault. We are using Vault Collaboration 2012 and as of lately we have a user who live in a different county who is going work for us. We are 3 local users who sit locally and 1 user who going to connect remotely to us.
What is the best way to accomplish this, so he can get access to our projects and library’s, from where he is working?
I work for a large enterprise that has many machines(all the same) that have Inventor 2010 with the 3GB switch enabled. However, when a user tries to remotely connect the machine with the switch enabled, using Windows RDC, they are unable to. After removing the switch, the user is able to remote successfully. Other forums suggested that the "SessionImageSpace" in the registry needed to be edited to allow for the connection, but that did not work for me.

My company has recently bought out a smaller firm. IT has setup everything through our "pipeline" so that there is a direct connection to both offices. The servers are all mapped pretty much identically and we are beginning to work on the same projects between the offices. However, this is putting a huge lag on the "pipeline" slowing down all the data going back and forth. Now they would like the Technicians to refrain from opening drawing files over the network.
So, I am wondering if the CLOUD is an option to handle this for our shared projects? Or Vault?

I want to save Current open Document on remote location (on server).  I am able to save it on my local machine(the machine i am presently working on).  Now I want to save it on some remote server.  I am using following code for that:            var doc=app.activeDocument();  var aiSaveOptions1=new IllustratorSaveOptions(); var   aiFile1 = File( '/osn-pc-16/adobe/1/Original.ai' );  doc.saveAs(aiFile1,aiSaveOptions1)
I understand the process of splitting faces and applying a Bonded Contact between the split faces when you have a bolted connection with a nut, but what kind of contacts would you use for say a threaded connection? For example, suppose you have a plate that will be bolted to a mold. The plate has clearnace holes for said bolts and so that the bolts are threaded into the mold to be lifted. The plate has a threaded hole for the lifting mechanism (Swivel Hoist Ring). Finally, the desired load is applied to the Swivel Hoist Ring and the bolts are placed in pre-tension. I would like to simulate this via FEA but am getting tripped up in the contacts. Also I am trying to make it as simple and efficient as possible (by eliminating any bolts or other parts that are not needed). I use INV Pro 2014.Â
I've got two pieces with 11/16" diameter holes for 5/8" bolts.
When I use Bolted Connection to place nut/bolt in the hole, it detects the 11/16" hole and sizes the bolt to look for 11/16" bolts. There aren't any 11/16" bolts so the window shows no bolts. I have to manually choose 5/8" for the bolt size in order to get a list of bolts to choose from. In my reading, i was thinking this was supposed to have been fixed by 2010, is that not correct?
Also, in testing another theory, after placing the bolted connection andt then editing the bolt size to 7/16" or 1 13/16" in diameter. The bolt doesn't update it's size to reflect the change in the hole. Is there really no correlation here? Is a manual change to existing bolts, nuts, washers, etc going to be necessary if the hole size changes? If i change the thickness of the plate(s) the bolt is going through, using autosolve updates the bolt length, but nothing seems to be checking the diameter of the hole.
If true, kinda harst to be able to make a completely parametric assembly of everything but the fastners.I'm using the Hole method on the bolt connection dialog with pre-existing holes that do not have threads on them.
Is possible to connect a pipe to a structure and not have in connected to the structure center?Â
I have some two-tiered structures that are 108" dia for the bottom section and 48" dia for the top section. The 48" top section is not centered I need my small 12"-15" pipes to connect to this section of the structure.
I have yet to be able to connect to our ArcSDE database using 2011. In 2009 and 2010 Civil 3D I had to move 3.dll files from my ESRI directory to the FDO/bin directory for Civil 3D. This immediately allowed for a connection using CAD's Data Connect.
When i try to make a bolted connection my "click to add fastener >Â standard/category" box is empty. my hole, which used hole command, is 11/16" and the bolt only needs to be roughly 2" long so im not demanding odd fasteners.

Is it a good practice to have several WMS connections already connected to the provider in our standard "dwt" template file? Will this affect the speed or performance of a drawing?
So I've got this part, and it's got bolted connections. There's two of them, and each one is a pattern of multiple #10 machine screws.
No matter what I do, one of them will always have a lighting bolt next to it, as shown in this picture:
Rebuild All doesn't fix it. Manually editing the bolted connection will fix the lightning bolt ... but it will invariably switch to the other bolted connection instead.
Also, another fun little thing I've found: if you grab one of the screws with the mouse and drag on it, only the first bolt in the pattern seems to be actually constrained to the hole. The others appear to have pretty much just distance constraints, maybe plane-axis constraints. You can rotate the whole pattern around the hole that the first bolt was set in. This doesn't seem like a good behavior to allow ...
Anyway, the data set for the above image is attached. The screws themselves aren't, but they're just content center parts and should get automatically generated if you open the assembly.Â

We're new to using bolted connection in our piping systems. They work great within a pipeline, connecting flanged fittings, etc. Where we have an issue is across two pipelines. Each pipeline is a sub-assembly, so in the bolted connection wizard it is impossible to select the mating flange on the other sub-assembly as the termination plane for the bolted connection. I want the bolted connection to show up in the BOM for one or the other sub-assembly, not at the top level.Â
Right now what I am doing is manually inserting what would be the mating washer and nut, from the CC and using an offset Insert constraint to make it appear to sit on the face of the mating flange, then pattern that... and THEN run the bolted connection for the bolt and another washer on the other side. This works, but is very time consuming. How this could be done across sub-assemblies, with all of the parts in one sub-assembly's BOM?  Â
We have a number of remote users who must have access to our files via Inventor Viewer. When reviewing the system requirements for Inventor Viewer 2014, I noticed that it lists only Windows 7 and Windows 8. Was XP omitted by mistake, or will Inv Viewer truly not work on machines running XP?Â
I've got an issue with Adobe CS3 illustrator not displaying the full UI when used via Microsoft Remote Applications (RDS Windows Server 2008 R2). When connect to the server via a normal RDP interface the connection UI is displayed correctly. The Other Adobe CS3 MC application work fine in either connection method. Â I have logged a call with MS and we have tried a varierty of RDS Fixes however we do seem pointing to a illustrator issue over a RDS issue.
