3ds Max :: Black Viewports - Remote Desktop
Sep 27, 2011how to fix completely black viewports when using Remote Desktop? I can't see my model via remote desktop. It worked fine before. Not sure what changed to make it now not work.

Photoshop :: Remote Desktop
Apr 13, 2009I use Remote Desktop quite a bit to login to my computer and use programs installed on there. A frequent one is Adobe Photoshop. When I do my work in Remote Desktop everything works great, but when I'm actually at home on my pc it loads everything and the splash screen goes away and then all of a sudden it has "Photoshop CS4 has stopped working" error.
It turns out it is doing this with all of my adobe products. I am using Vista 32-Bit and all the products are CS4. One more thing I noticed is if I open Photoshop in remote desktop then login to my computer I can use it without error.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Cannot Remote Desktop When 3GB Switch Is Enabled
Mar 8, 2011I work for a large enterprise that has many machines(all the same) that have Inventor 2010 with the 3GB switch enabled. However, when a user tries to remotely connect the machine with the switch enabled, using Windows RDC, they are unable to. After removing the switch, the user is able to remote successfully. Other forums suggested that the "SessionImageSpace" in the registry needed to be edited to allow for the connection, but that did not work for me.

Lightroom :: 5.3 Crashes When Watching Video Over Remote Desktop On Windows 8.1
Feb 25, 2014I am running Lightroom 5.3 and a fairly fresh install of Windows 8.1 / 64 bit. It works perfectly when I use my local machine, but when I access Lightroom over Microsoft Remote Desktop from another computer, as soon as I try to open a video, Lightroom crashes.
I have tried reinstalling, rebuildin library, etc. But, it still crashes every time. I'm pretty sure this is a bug with the software.
I use remote desktop for most of my lbrary management and it's really frustrating when it crashes all the time (note that it will crash often just if I go to to the video folder, even if I don't try to play one!)

Jan 8, 2013I am evaluating 3DSMax 2013 and my last version of Max was 6. When I turn my viewports to shaded, the viewports fade to black. The objects and everything are still there, and it seems like there is no light source. If I move an object around, the viewport lights back up, yet as soon as I am done moving it, it fades to black again. Is this a preference setting I have missed or something?

May 1, 2012I have a network of 18 computers that I currently send Network rendering jobs to whilst on the same network whilst being in the same room as them.
I would like to be able to join the network from a remote location through broadband internet, through the router on that network and submit a job to the manager and access all the files on the network from the remote machine as if I was plugged into the ethernet hub on the network.

Jan 9, 2012Been using Paint.NET for years, but mainly very simple stuff all revolving around making buttons for various touch screen remotes I've had over the years.
I'm now doing a whole new set of buttons for an iPad app I'm using and one thing's got me stuck. I've downloaded a bunch of TV channel logos (130 x 90) and I want to put them on buttons. The logos all have white backgrounds, but my buttons are dark grey. I can get rid of the white backgound no problem using the magic wand, but that leaves me with the dither to white around the image, and when I put this onto the dark backgound it looks terrible. The dither seems very important due to the small image size. I guess what I'm trying to do is change a 'dither to white' to a 'dither to dark grey'. How do I do this ?

Photoshop :: Unable To Use Clone Stamp On Remote Image
Jun 23, 2011I used to be able to clone stamp from a different image than the one I was working on. while using clone stamp I could hover over another image on the desktop, press the alt key and click, and then continue to clone the main image.
I double check that the layer in question is selected etc. but I just get a sort of no access symbol, a circle with a diagonal line across. I can clone okay within the same image but not from a remote one as I could before.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Project Sharing To Remote Offices
Oct 12, 2012My company has recently bought out a smaller firm. IT has setup everything through our "pipeline" so that there is a direct connection to both offices. The servers are all mapped pretty much identically and we are beginning to work on the same projects between the offices. However, this is putting a huge lag on the "pipeline" slowing down all the data going back and forth. Now they would like the Technicians to refrain from opening drawing files over the network.
So, I am wondering if the CLOUD is an option to handle this for our shared projects? Or Vault?

When connect to the server via a normal RDP interface the connection UI is displayed correctly. The Other Adobe CS3 MC application work fine in either connection method.
I have logged a call with MS and we have tried a varierty of RDS Fixes however we do seem pointing to a illustrator issue over a RDS issue.

Nov 22, 2013I am just starting to use ilogic for some design files. We have two design sites connected with Vault Collaboration 2012.
What is the best practice for sharing the ilogic rules between the sites?
I was planning on making an ilogic rules folder at the root of my workspace and having Vault manage the external rules. However, I don't see the rules listed when I check-in a file that uses them.
Do I have to add the rules to my template files? If so, how do I make changes to the rules without editing every file created with the templates?
We will be moving to Vault and IV 2014 after the first of the year, if that makes any difference.
3ds Max Animation :: Animate Moving 180 Degrees Around Central Axis Remote From Cylinder
Oct 29, 2013I have a cylindrical tube that I need to animate moving 180 degrees around a central axis remote from the cylinder. I also want to create a circular motion locally for the cylindrical tube as it follows the 180 degree arc.I planned on creating the 180 degree rotation first and then the local circular motion second.
When I created the first motion I tried to use an object (another cylinder) as the transform centre for the rotation. As soon as I click on "Auto-key" the "Use transform centre" option is greyed out. I therefore moved the cylindrical tubes own pivot to the required position for centre of rotation. After I created the 180 degree rotation I moved the pivot back so that I could create the local rotation. At this point I find that the original motion has now changed to suit the new pivot point.
how I can get the "Use transform centre" option to work in this instance?

Sep 27, 2013i install autodesk remote to try it out from home. when i went to my office to the actual work station i rebooted my machine and now im getting a popup box that says my menu file is write protected. i uninstalled the file, and rebooted my machine and im still getting this warning that my menu is write protected,. no other work station is getting this error, the menu file is a shared file running off a network and no other versions exists on my hard drive.
