View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen exporting photos from lightroom on to my desktop, I am able to view all the Metadata information when "getting information". However, that information does not show up when the photos are exported into individual folders within the computer. I am exporting the files the exact same way, so I am not sure why the information is not appearing the same.
I am on a Mac and working with Lightroom 5.
He's got a series of roadway plans where the North arrow shows up fine on some sheets, but the fill (solid hatch) in the arrows doesn't display on others. The arrows are blocks, all the elements in the block are on layer "0" (zero).and the blocks reside in model space.
Just for grins. I had him expand a viewport (where the arrow looks fine) to capture a problematic arrow and... it looks fine. So, it's not an arrow/block/layer issue. It's a viewport issue.
Is it possible to use the viewport on one page to show the paper space of a different page?

And I am running PS6 on my Macbook Pro and 27"iMac.I am currently having a situation where Photoshop appears on my desktop and when I try to scroll to a different desktop view, PS screen view still populates it. That only happens on my iMac...not the laptop.I can't seem to find any preference to adjust.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI attach an xref to a drawing, plan profile, and align the parts of the xref in each viewport the way I want them to appear.
The host drawing is a generic plan profile sheet border. The viewports are set to the same scale same annotative scale, and are undefined, not a plan or profile viewport. I save the drawing and get out of cad all together. I restart cad and open the drawing. The plan view viewport is visible and the xrefs are also. In the profile viewport nothing is visible or only one line is visible. Items in the view port are viewable, not frozen in the viewport, not turned of. The annotative scale is exactly the same for all viewports as is the xref drawing.I am xrefing a civil 3d 2011 aliment and profile drawing into these sheets. The only way to see the xref in the view ports is to detach and reattach the xref. To make things worse this does not happen to all drawings that are using the border that I used to create this drawing set.
I have a model space with a few XREF drawings. I have a layout with a viewport of these drawings. All seemed fine until I imported another drawing using XREF. I went to adjust this viewport and it is not showing the new drawing that has been imported into model space (I can see the three drawings that were there but the new one will not appear) to you have to like "reload" a viewport or something? (From my understanding viewports alwasys stay current with model space)

So one viewport would show a section of the current drawing's modelspace, and the second viewport would show a a section of modelspace from another drawing? (and possibly update automatically like an XREF?) Or would the easiest way be to just XREF both drawings into a new drawing, and then show viewports from them in the new drawing?

Yesterday there was an update to the Desktop Cloud app which I agreed to and started to download.
During the download process it failed and now the Cloud desktop app is missing from my computer and I can't find a way to get it back.
My CS4 shortcut icon has disappeared from my desktop and I have a generic Windows 7 icon left instead. I have tried rebooting to re-create the proper shortcut icon but always get just the generic one. I am running Windows 7 RC1 and have no problems with CS4. Grateful for any ideas on how to get back the proper CS4 icon.

Fired up my computer today after sitting idle for a few days. All 50,000 images are showing "offline or missing"
Everything was fine two days ago.... What happened and how do I get them all back? Images have not been moved at all.
I have just installed 2012 and have drawn a 3d model. In paperspace i have a couple of viewports , all nicely set out at 1:5 scale. then i click in another viewport and bam, all the other viewports change scale (zoom out) and orientation. is there some system variable that i have overlooked?

I am a new Lightroom3 user trying to prepare a portfolio for a juried show. I have imported photos from CDs and a flash drive and have created a Collection for my portfolio. When I click on what seems like a random grouping of photos in the collection (in the Library Module), I get the error message "file xxxx is offline or missing", even though the image is showing correctly. I am unable to work on any of these images in the Develop Module.

It works for some viewports, but not for others. A "List" of the objects show the viewports are the same. I have a LiSP routine that gets me more info about selected objects. I saw a globe designed in half, turning around. You could see the interior with the continents visible on the in- and outside.
So it looks like a boll cut vertically in half and made hollow with the continent projected on the inside and outside.
I'm completely new to Photoshop and am having a lot of trouble just figuring out how to do simple things. It's been frustrating, to say the least.
All I want to do is make hollow text over a transparent background so I can place the text over any color and I'll have the hollow text show.
So if I have some text, I just want it to be hollow and have the center be whatever the color of the background is. Maybe this isn't as easy as I thought, but I know I can make the background layer transparent of a new project... if I add some text and make it hollow, won't it adapt to the background color?
I'd like to create a hollow cube structure. A cube shaped frame would be the best way to describe it.

How do I make a work path of a character that consists of a loop (letters O, O, and P in LOOP for example) so that i get the inner and outer walls of a character, take O for example, instead of a solid O?
O (the black area of the O should be filled with smaller text, if it were a work path) When I create a work path of the letter O, it outlines both the inner and outer lines of the letter, but once the work path is created, all I get is a giant SOLID circle, not a work path that has inner and outer walls of the letter O.

i make a square selection using the marquee tool, then i subtract from the selection a small square within the first selection (i.e., the small square does not intersect the edges of the bigger square). this gives me a square doughnut.from the selection i make a new path. using the text tool, i would like to write (have text) within the selected area (i.e. on the doughnut itself).
apparently, it is applicable to write within a long a path, or within a (not hollow) polygon.
Is there a way to create a hollow circle (or ring) that has a fill, but does not actually fill the circle with the color, just makes the outline?

I am having the above laser cut out of acrylic. The laser needs to have everything that is black use a Fill and no Outline. The way it is in the file now, there is no Fill on the circle, but there is a black Outline. If I tell it to have a black Fill and no Outline (like the laser needs) I end up with a solid black circle which the laser will engrave as a solid circle instead of the "ring".
