I have been using Photoshop for a long time. And I am running PS6 on my Macbook Pro and 27"iMac.I am currently having a situation where Photoshop appears on my desktop and when I try to scroll to a different desktop view, PS screen view still populates it. That only happens on my iMac...not the laptop.I can't seem to find any preference to adjust.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an Imac 27" and am trying several different ways to migrat my 27,000 picture library:
I do a backup on an external NTFS drive. I doc to MAC. On the first attempt, I was able to locate the tly file, but the backup failed at 63% on soime mpeg conversion error. Since that time, the Mac can no longer any files in the backup folder (however if i connect to PC the files are all there) I originally migrated the folder structure and imported all the photos. It asked me if I wanted to import all tags and i said yes. However, it filed all my tags inder "Other imported tags" section, and losing all my original tagging structure. I am now tryiong to write tag information to the files and transfer via Migration assisttant, but am worried I will have the sma results as above.
CC will not install on my windows desktop. How do I troubleshoot?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have CS6 and am using Photoshop, but when I try to open any image on my desktop the `open with` option does not include Photoshop CS6, only other Adobe applications; even when I browse I can only find the Adobe systems file, with the .exe doc; I have a lot of images to edit, preferably without having to open Photoshop and individually open them from their folders; how to make Photoshop CS6 `open-with`-able for any desktop/external hard drive images?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to install Photoshop 5.0.2 on my new Windows 8 desktop computer. I push the install button from the cd and it does nothing. I tried copying and pasting the old installed program onto my desktop and filling in the necessary dll files that it requested. That seemed to work until I tried to print something. Although the program recognizes the correct printer and sets up pages etc., it will not print, and tells me that there is a disk error. What to do?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen exporting photos from lightroom on to my desktop, I am able to view all the Metadata information when "getting information". However, that information does not show up when the photos are exported into individual folders within the computer. I am exporting the files the exact same way, so I am not sure why the information is not appearing the same.

I have just purchased CS6 upgrade single user (volume licensing). Currently I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I would like to install the primary on the Windows desktop and the additional on MacBook. Am I allowed to install primary on Windows machine and secondary on Mac machine as per EULA? I am the only user.
if it is allowed as per license since I have heard that multi platform is not allowed but I couldn't see anywhere in the EULA forbidding this.
I linked in a dwg floor plan and it shows on the first floor but not in the 2nd floor or any others views. I thought as long as you left "current view only" in the Link CAD Dialog box unchecked it should show in all views.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two models in Revit 2011 that have items that are not showing in any views. I restored a backup and tried to copy and paste between the two models and it warns me that there are duplicate items in the same area. Once I get this message all remaining components of that type show up.
I made sure the items weren't hidden or turned off in the model and the views.
I am having trouble on how to show the brick pattern on my 3d views. Some shows some do not, only the shade color. i am exporting or printing to pdf these 3d images under consistent shade mode no shadows. I tried flipping wall orientations, didn't work. Apparently when v viewing afar the patterns do not show, when zooming in to the view they show up. but the savifn the current 3d viewing with the patterns partly showing yields the same output prints.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI primarily use LR on a win7 desktop. Several 100 gigs of images. I have a win7 notebook. I can't store the images because of disk space. But is it possible to have the catalog and previews synced to the notebook, so I could say show someone full screen previews? I know you can't go to the develop module. And until LR smart previews works with my existing catalog, I'd like to know how, and if I would be able to view full screen from the catalog not connected to a harddrive with the original files?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running Lightroom 5.3 and a fairly fresh install of Windows 8.1 / 64 bit. It works perfectly when I use my local machine, but when I access Lightroom over Microsoft Remote Desktop from another computer, as soon as I try to open a video, Lightroom crashes.
I have tried reinstalling, rebuildin library, etc. But, it still crashes every time. I'm pretty sure this is a bug with the software.
I use remote desktop for most of my lbrary management and it's really frustrating when it crashes all the time (note that it will crash often just if I go to to the video folder, even if I don't try to play one!)
I have created section views of my allignment and corridor in my drawing the problem I have is. In some of the section views there is different parts of the different assemblies not showing up. For example in one section I have my lane then my curb then no sidewalk then blvd. It is not the same in each section view either some are missing one thing while others are missing others.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly which is a plated structure. I am using a skeleton file of surfaces to define these plates. I am deriving the required surface/s from this skeleton file into a part file. In the part file I have used thicken to create my plate part. I also turn off the visibility of all derived surfaces in this part.
Now in the plate part when I go into edit derived part - the surface I have used is not grayed out showing it has been consumed by my thicken feature??? I place all my part files into an assembly and create views for each part using isolate (I use these views in a drawing which is used for NC plate cutting)
So the problem I am having is that when I place a view in my drawing the derived surfaces are also showing.
However I have used this modeling technique for many previous projects on previous versions of inventor and have never had this problem.
As mentioned above I have used isolate to create these views. I have since gone back and created the views by turning off the visibility of all other components and the surfaces do not appear in my drawing views.
I am having an issue with my section views. Some of my subassemblies are only showing on certain stations. If I view the stations on the cross section editor, the corridor looks just fine, but when I go to the section sheet where the corridor is x-referenced, the driveway disappears.
I have rebuilt the corridor numerous times, detached and reattached the drawing, made a new drawing and recreated the sample lines to no avail. Attached are some pictures to show the disappearing driveway on the right side of the street.
cannot find a way to create a pdf and saving it into a desktop. Basically, in the -plot command, there should be an option to allow it to save to C:documents and settings"username"desktopfilename.pdf"

When I open a Civil 3D drawing, there are two views. One is showing alignment plan and the other one showing profile. Actually they are in same model space. How to turn off one of them and how to make two views like that.

The toolbars and sidebars all show up, but when I open a file (i.e. a JPEG, PSD, etc) the layer shows up on the sidebar, but the window of the image never opens. To add to the issue, there is no error message, thus Tech Support was not useful at all.

They show up in the Control Panel - Fonts and open, they show up in Word, but do not show up in Photoshop CS4. I see in the CS4 Mac forums that there is a way to register a font in CS4, but I can find nothing on doing that on a Windows PC.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to filter -> render -> lighting effects it seems to pop up some kind of options pane for maybe a quarter second while it's thinking, but once it's done all it does is create a duplicate layer called "lighting effects". I never actually see the options.
I've updated my drivers, and I just installed cs6 today, without importing any of my old settings from before.
I have just installed elements 11 on a windows 7 machine and whites are showing as cream, even in the colour pickers and swatches. My elements 8 works fine. how do I fix this?

The only problem is, when Im uploading photos to our website, the Lightroom watermarks dont show up in the thumbnail preview of Windows Explorer. When I right click the image thumbnail and select "preview" the full size image preview pops up with the watermark. I guess my question is, is there any way to get the Lightroom watermarks to show up when viewing files in Explorer in large thumbnail view?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a second base view (using Layout/Create View/Base from model space). The problem is, I need it to be rotated from the original base view. However, when I rotate the part in model space, ALL of my views change.
So I guess my question is, how do I create multiple views of the same part that are seperate from the other base views?
We would like to make the transparency of glass-materials visible in views and section-views by using the "realistic style". During a 3d-view our glass-material looks like transparent. Isn't it possible for REVIT to display the transparency of materials in views ?
The workaround to hide "glass" by using "overriding visibility" is not possible for us because some of our families and project families are using glass-materials inside (Showcases f.e.).
