illustrator CS4 "out of memory" exporting to PSD.settings to write layers at 300 dpi.worked fine a week ago, suddenly no memory? even tried with a 3 inch square and it would not export to Photoshop.
Works fine in CS6, but I don't always have access to CS6.
I am new to illustrator and am trying to export a high res image and its saying not enough memory?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI love designing vehicle wraps in XD Pro6 but what can I do to export a large image. If I design at half scale then try to export at 200 dpi it crashes and says out of memory.
Have a quad core with 8gb ram Win7 64 bit.
I'm using LR 4.2 and trying to export to PS CS6 on my Win 7 Asus 4gb laptop with 45gb free space on my hard drive.
I have made substantial edits to a raw file in LR and am attempting to export it to PS for final edits (cloning out extraneous features) at 16cm and 150 ppi (less than ideal but still too large). The working file is 73 mb.
However, I am getting an unsufficient memory error when trying this on Tif or Psd, even Jpg. I can get it to export as original, which gives me a DNG but then I get the same lack of memory issue when trying to open it in Photoshop.
What I can do is open the working DNG file in Photoshop but then only some of my adjustments come through - all the noise removal I have done has gone and the image is very noisy in PS. I can also convert it to Tiff using VSO Image Resizer and open this in PS but again, the noise is there.
The image is to be used as the cover photo on an A4 magazine so needs to be of print-quality.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using corel x3 a long time but never, never had this kind of problem. When i work in corel enviorenment after i have finished my work i go to save my work. But then is the problem It Saves the file with Large Memory on it. let's say if the file normally would be 200 K, now it saves with 3 MB. And if i import some other files in my work then the saved file will be even bigger. If i Delete the files that were imported The Saved File will be Again the same SIZE ! Even if a take one part of the file, let's say if i import only one small text and put it in another file and save it like that, the saved file will be 2 MB. I had a lots of problems, i had saved files on this way with 23-24 MB and when i open them it takes like forever. When you look that file in corel it has nohing in it, absolutely nothing that should be 24 MB. But all of my important work is in that files how to make all things back to normal again,
View 9 Replies View RelatedI do have problem with my newly installed CorelDraw X5. Before X5 we used Corel 12 in our company.
I have project file (150 MB) with lots of text, bitmaps, vectors - about 100 pages. File opens but I can't save it. I always get OUT OF MEMORY error. I even tried to divide this file into 2 smaller parts but still doesn't work.
What I noticed - Corel X5 after clean start (without opened project) takes about 80MB of RAM in task manager. When I open project usage changes from 80MB to 1,2GB. While saving it takes 1,6GB of RAM and it crashes.
To compare - Corel 12 and after opening same project file Corel 12 takes much less of memory - about 770MB and it works without problem.
Where from comes this memory usage difference?

4GB of RAM
Intel Core2Duo 2 x 3.0GHz

I am trying to save as a psd file from illustrator to imoprt it into photshop and take it from there. I have made more than 100 layers and when i try to save as 300 dpi keeping and the layers as well given an option from the dialogue box.
I get a error message not enough memory to save the file. Why does it not save? My laptop has enough memory for another 4 pcs.
Giving me 'insufficient memory was available to complete the operation' when trying to place and image (jpg ~23mb) inside a .ai file which is just a few KB large.
Laptop has 6GB physical RAM and 1GB virtual RAM.
My project in AI CS4 (WinXP) is not able to place (import) a 600dpi image (size is 35mb). The error message says "Insufficient Memory was Available to Complete the Operation". The same image at 300 dpi worked where the 600 did not work. There is 3gb of RAM on my machine. I am wondering if there is a problem with AI here, and if there is a way to allocate more memory to the program. I don't mind using the 300-resolution image, but would like to learn something about Illustrator from this issue. Is there a way to fix the problem or to adjust the memory usage in Illustrator CS4?

The content has a lot of linked images, around 1000x1000 px each, used with clipping masks, drop shadows and glows at 300dpi.I realize that this might be hard to flatten for JPEG and I'd be fine with long processing times (which I get) but out of memory?.
Those are all gigabytes, not megabytes, no mistake. There's NO WAY that there's not enough scratch memory available.And this is how the process looks; Physical memory usage at this point is 62%, Commit charge - 15%.
Currently, I can work around this by making a screenshot of "Original" tab in Save for Web dialogue when it's there - because sometimes it's just a pink-filled window.

I never had this problem before, but in the past few days this message keeps coming up, and converts the files to outline mode. It's happening to all kinds of illustrator files ranging is size from 2MB to 56MB, from simple drawings with gradient fills, to complex drawings with mesh. In most of the files, I'm working with vector images that I didn't create, but purchased from stock photo sites.

I have a scenario where i have to load the font(ttf files) into the memory and apply it to all the selected textframe in the active document. So for loading the font i am using 'AddFontResourceEx()' api.
The problem is this, when i used this api it will not load the font at the same time, it will take some time to load the font. But the plugin will try to apply that font to the text frame. Sometimes font will apply somtimes not.Also is there any api through which we can refresh font list?
I got “Insufficient Memory” error messages in working on the job needed large files ( > 100MB) with AI 5.5 in office with below #1 PC spec. Error message starts to happen after working 15min to 1 hour depends on the file. I'm experiencing difficulties in exporting website from .AI to .PSD using Illustrator CS5.1 under Windows7 Home Premium 64bit. The error message says "Not enough memory to save the file".
I can assure you that i've got enough memory for scratch disks and my computer is powerful enough to handle this operation. The funny thing is that i am able to export the very same .Ai file using Illustrator CS5.1 under Windows XP 32bit on different PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying export a vector image from Illustrator CS 11.0.0 to Photoshop CS 8.0. I go through the process outlined in the manual and succesfully export the file. Everything works fine & I retain my layers (if I use CMYK), but my vectors are gone. The manual says I may need a plug-in but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. My only options as far as color goes is CMYK, RGB, or Greyscale. I select CMYK and make sure "Write Layers" is selected, but there is nothing there to specify vectors.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have someone doing a drawing and i am asking them to draw it at 1:1 instead of 1:100 even though the final result is going to need to be a 1:100 drawing in eps or pdf.
Is it extremely simple to get a eps or pdf at 1:100 even if the drawing is at 1:1 - while retaining clarity and/or detail etc?
My understanding is that they want this scale for publication but my thinking is that drawing at 1:1 is a much better idea in case i need to use this later.

When try to export files with gradients, which assigned to nicely named graphic styles, illustrator keeps exporting a strange st-class for every new gradient i'm generating and refuses to assign my class, like:

When i change the code by myself, it works properly. But it's actually no option to change every svg by hand...
When I export my .Ai file to .swf, the .swf has a huge red square overlaying the image, as well as some rnadom lines and chunks of other pieces of the art scattered around. Basically it's not saving as the image should be. It is a larger file size.. does swf only work up to a certain size?

I'd like to get those patterns into Photoshop but no matter what I try, there are small artefacts on them. I've tried exporting to PSD, JPG, PNG..They look perfect in Illustrator.
