My cursor appears and disappears while in GIMP as I move the cursor over the canvas. I can make the cursor appear but only if there is no movement of the cursor. It makes no difference which tool I select, the size of the canvas, or the level of zoom.
Please note that this only occurs in Gimp, and none of my other applications. It started when I upgraded from openSUSE 12.1 to 12.2. I'm assuming that it has something to do with my input device configuration, but I could be totally wrong.
I have a total of 3 input devices - Core Pointer, Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse, and Virtual Core XTEST Pointer. Both the Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer are DISABLED. Core Pointer is the only one enabled. Enabling Optical Mouse and XTEST Pointer give me other problems in Gimp and need to remain disabled.
For the Core Pointer, Mode is set to SCREEN, a message says that 'The axis X has no curve', and the following Axis Settings: X 1 Y 2 Pressure none xtilt none ytilt none wheel none
In Gimp Preferences->Input Controllers, there are three active controllers - Mouse Buttons, Main Mouse Wheel, and Main Keyboard.
For some reason, sometimes when working in Photoshop CS2 (PC platform) my paintbrush cursor changes. I have it set in preferences to show the brush size and it usually stays that way, but occassionally, it reverts to precise mode so I cannot see the brush size on the screen. The only thing that seems to work is closing PS and restarting it. What a pain.
How do I change the cursor shape? I cannot change it from the cross hairs to the round tip. I have tried the settings under preferences but it does no good.
My cursor suddenly does not change with the selection of tools when working on photos. Once I roll over the picture the arrow is lost and becomes a strange 3 small things, so can't do any work accurately. Still using PS 7 in Win 7. This was not a problem previously. Already uninstalled and reinstalled and problem is still there.
It used to be in Gimp 2.8.8 for Mac I would see the preview of the brush as the cursor so I could judge what the size was going to be now in 2.8.10 Mac (running Mavericks).
I have no preview. Just an cross hair and the brush icon. So I have to blindly guess the size of the brush. Is there a way to get this back?
I've just started to use GIMP and there's a path filled with green circles associated with my cursor wherever I move or place my cursor. How I can get rid of the path.
I have a macbook pro with Photoshop CS6 installed. Recently Photoshop has been freezing frequently. Especially if I try to use too big of a brush. The cursor will change to the rainbow loading symbol, and I can't click on anything else on the computer. After it is finished loading a few minutes later, everything else on the computer is slowed down. What can I do to make the program run faster, and stop it from freezing? Is it the program or the computer? Does the computer need more speed to be able to run the program?
I have a VB.NET add-in for Inventor, for a particular piece of code I want the mouse cursor to change to the windows default wait cursor while executing the code. I know how to do this in Excel VBA (Application.Cursor = xlWait). But I cannot seem to find an equivalent for Inventor.
I've never had this issue before. Can't get anything done with it like this Did I make a global change without knowing it? I shut it down and restarted but its the same. The tool bar changes to the correct function .i.e. zoom, or crop, or whatever I choose. But it won't do anything but pan...
I noticed that when I try to paint with the brush (with a smaller brush between 1-4pxs) I can't see the cursor that shows me where I'm drawing. I don't have the best eyes but when I wear my glasses while on the PC my eyes get real tired, is there a way to change this cursors color and/or size?
I’m getting a strange cursor when I use the Paint Bucket tool. Instead of the bucket with the pointy bit to show where you’re aiming, I get three tiny paint buckets in a horizontal line, looking a bit like a fragmented ruler, so it is impossible to see where the point of the paint bucket is. I have used CAPS LOCK to get the crosshairs but would refer the normal setting to be available too.
I have shut down the PC and restarted with PS9 as the only app open but I still get this funny cursor. Some of the cursors from other tools are also affected, esp. when I left-click.Have I changed a setting by accident?
Is it possible to change the cursor while a script is running? I have several scripts which work on large numbers of objects, and it would be very useful to have the cursor change to the spinning color wheel or hourglass while the script is looping away.
I understand that Adobe's JavaScript Toolkit would let you build a progress-bar dialog, but the delays are rarely long enough to justify such a thing. All the same, a change of cursor would reassure users (and not just me!) that things were indeed happening.
I'm having the problem with pen cursor when i use dual-monitor.
Before I run GIMP everything work fine, The pen cursor can move in both monitors. But when I run GIMP, It lock my pen area into only the main monitor, even if I close GIMP. So I need to restart my PC to use both monitor with my pen.
It seems to be fine locking pen cursor area in a single monitor, But GIMP cursor IS NOT CORRECT with pen cursor. They both should be the same, But they are not. As you can see in the photo.
I've tried changing the input mode for tablet to Screen and Window. But it still doesn't work.
PS.I'm running GIMP in Window 7 (32Bit), My tablet pen is Kanvus Life H85
I recently bought a Bamboo Pen tablet to use with GIMP and have been installing under Windows (XP).
The tablet installs fine, is recognised by GIMP and I can draw with the stylus. Excellent. The only problem is that the cursor/arrow is missing which means that I can draw things but I only know where the stylus is when I start to write/draw.
I am hoping that this is a simple settings issue but how to make the cursor/arrow visible?
Is there a way to change the cursor color in the command line in AutoCAD 2013?
When I change the background (active command) to black, the cursor blends into it and not visible. Can’t see where is my current position when editing coordinates. The command background was black and text white for the last 10 years for 20 drafters; we would like to keep it this way
I just started using Inventor and I have this issue, that whenever I set a dimension in a sketch, the sketch doesn't update to the new dimension until I move my mouse/cursor. Is this normal? Is there any way to change it so it updates as soon as I hit the enter button (after entering a dimension)
I noticed in the demo that when we enter Editor mode for Axis, the cursor will change to blue (refer photo attachment). The cursor will allow us to make multiple selection of the subdivide points that we created.Somehow when i do it, the cursor didnt change.is there any hot key that i need to know to activate the blue selection tool?
Usually the tool cursor is a circle the size the tool is set to, that is, it will be 60 pixels in diameter when the tool size is set to 60 pixels. Sometimes, the tool cursor changes to a gun sight-like icon. I have no idea what I'm doing to cause that, but I'd like to know in order to 1) stop doing it, and 2) maintain my sanity.
