Lightroom :: Cursor (Pointer) Showing As Hand (Move Tool) Instead Of Pointer?
Jan 10, 2014How do you change the characteristic of the cursor from Hand (Move Tool) back to just being a pointer? This condition only exists in the Develope Module when my cursor is placed over the top of the photo. When I move it off the photo it returns to a pointer. In the Library Module it is always a pointer like I like it to be.

Dec 3, 2008I have a frustrating problem in CS3 that when writing a block of text, either with text tool or area text tool, that the cursor disappears. I need to see its new position after using the space bar or tab: ready to input the next piece of text.
It seems to be flashing some of the time if I click into the middle of the text block, but disappears where I want to continue it at the bottom of the text block?
Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: Change In Tool Pointer On Screen
May 4, 2011Running Windows 7 - 64 bit with X5. About 2 weeks ago PhotoPaint tools changed from a nice, easy to use circle, showing the size of the nib in use (paint brush, clone, mask brush, eraser, etc) to a representation of the tool with no indication of how large the nib is. I've tried working through this, being busy with work, but it's very frustrating and was so much easier with the nib circles - showing the size.
This is the same thing that used to happen in V.12, and previously the solution was to return to a checkpoint in the system, re-install and all was set back to normal. It's been almost a year since switching to X5 and have no memory on how or what the process was back for V.12.
Photoshop :: Cursor Change From Current Tool To Move Tool
Jul 31, 2013When I have a none vector tool active for example the brush tool and I press and hold the Ctrl key down I see the cursor change from the current tool to the move tool cursor. If I presses and hold the Alt key I see the cursor change from the current tool to the eyedropper tool. If I press and hold both the Ctrl+Alt keys a see a cursor icon change to an icon that has two up pointing Arrow heads one Black the other White. What tool is that cursor for? It seems to copy and move the current layer and move its position over the canvas.

Feb 27, 2013When I'm working in an image, and in other places, the cursor is a horizontal series of symbols rather than the pointer arrow I'm used to in PSE 6, 10 and 11. The left side of the symbols is where the cursor is at.
I don't know what this is about, and don't care. I want the pointer arrow I'm used to. I've looked in Preferences but see nothing that applies. How do I replace these hard to use and irritating horizontal symbols with the pointer arrow?

Dec 13, 2012I have downloaded the above update 3 times and no matter what i do , including "run as administrator" not a lot happens when i double click the .exe file.I get the waiting cursor but then the cursor just changes back to the normal pointer.

Now, how do you change the font for all the text to Arial Black?Now, try to change the font for all the text in the text object to Arial Black.
It is possible for me to change the font for the entire text to any other font, except the font that is used for the first line.
Even if just a single word is typed, and you change the font for just the first character in the word, you then cannot change the word's font, to the font which you used for just the first character.
Photoshop :: Cursor Does Not Change With Tool Selection
Jul 20, 2012My cursor suddenly does not change with the selection of tools when working on photos. Once I roll over the picture the arrow is lost and becomes a strange 3 small things, so can't do any work accurately. Still using PS 7 in Win 7. This was not a problem previously. Already uninstalled and reinstalled and problem is still there.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Pointer Flickers Between Arrow / Cross Hairs And Waiting Pointer
Aug 24, 2011Using Civil 3D 2012, windows 7 pro 64, Radeon HD6970 video card.
The pointer flickers when in AutoCAD, especially when in menus, between the arrow and the arrow / waiting circle. Also does this flicker with the cross hairs and the waiting symbol when in the drawing window. Have all the drivers up to date no luck.
Have also tried multiple different pointing devices. Also have several instances where text will not move or allow to be modified until I save and restart the program.

May 2, 2013 how to I get a "pointer tool"?Also, I want to add text to a photo. I click on the text tool and select the font and size I want (Ariel 12 pt). However, the type comes out teeny tiny. There never seems to be a pointer tool to select anything.
I am brand new and have tried to read up. At least I could find out how to get rid of the text selection box by choosing layer to image size, but no pointer appears.

Feb 11, 2014I'm using AI CC now, but I noticed this problem in earlier versions of AI: If I want to place a one-word label on an illustration I move the type insertion cursor to a speific point on the screen image and click, but then the flashing insertion point, where the label will actually start, pops up elsewhere, usually a line or two above where the cursor was, and a pica or two to the left, forcing me to type the label, then move it into position rather than simply typing it in the right place and moving on. The problem is merely annoying, but I'd like to fix it. It's probably a matter of ignorance-I simply haven't read the right documentation, but I don't know what to call the problem. Where can I find out how to change the position of the cursor relative to the insertion point?

Apr 9, 2012I'm running Adobe Photoshop 7.0 in Windows 7 Virtual XP mode, since the program won't run in Win7 64-bit mode. It used to run fine in 32-bit mode. It runs OK in the virtual XP mode, but I find that the circle tool in the painting or clone stamp functions always has an arrowhead in the center of the circle. It never used to, just the circle for painting or cloning. How do I get rid of it? Changing the settings in the Preferences menu does not work. Also, the virtual mode doesn't seem to allow updating program files, although it updates XP files. I tried to download a Photoshop update file. There was a prompt asking where it should go. But when I selected a place, and clicked OK, the Next button did not come on.

For example, say you were taking a screenshot while using the Pen tool in CorelDRAW. The cursor is a fountain pen tip. In the screen shot it shows as the default Windows arrow pointer. Another example, you take a screenshot in Photo-Paint while using the Paint tool and the cursor looks like the brush you are using, but the screen shot shows it as the arrow pointer.

AutoCAD .NET :: Writing Tool To Add Custom Drawing Properties
Jul 20, 2012I have installed the autocad ObjectARX 2011 and .Net wizzard to start writing a .Net application for adding custom drawing parameters to all our acad drawings. I have found two issues detailed below. This is my first attempt at using c# with autocad so any pointers on what I am doing wrong will be well received.
1. If add the AcDbMgd.dll and AcMgd.dll references and set copy local to false as the documentation advises then I get a FileNotFoundException, could not load file or assembly 'acdbmgd'. If I set the copy local to true then the error goes away.
2. I tried using the code below to add a paramater but I get an exception on the first line System.TypeLoadException: Method 'CopyTo'.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Pen Tool - Change Node Direction
Feb 17, 2012what gives here with Corel's so-call Pen Tool. First there's almost NOTHING out there in terms of tutorials etc. Plenty about the Bezier tool but truly hardly anything about the Pen Tool
How on earth do you change the node's direction? This is SO frustrating! I just wanna control this *** but I can't. In Adobe PS it's simple, just hit ALT and you're back to 0 angle. In Corel I read somewhere that you double click the last node......yeah that ends it alright but when you go back to continue at a different angle it goes back to the same angle all over again so it's literally useless.

PS An empty box appears on the background, supposedly to write in, but it doesn't work. I type and nothing happens. And, there is a huge cursor bar (?) that extends down the screen.
