I have a VB.NET add-in for Inventor, for a particular piece of code I want the mouse cursor to change to the windows default wait cursor while executing the code. I know how to do this in Excel VBA (Application.Cursor = xlWait). But I cannot seem to find an equivalent for Inventor.
View 3 RepliesI just started using Inventor and I have this issue, that whenever I set a dimension in a sketch, the sketch doesn't update to the new dimension until I move my mouse/cursor. Is this normal? Is there any way to change it so it updates as soon as I hit the enter button (after entering a dimension)
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with a recently downloaded version of Inventor. When I start a new drawing all I get is a blank blue screen instead of one with a grid display. If I start a line I can see the cursor change to draw the line but a line does not appear. I don't know if it something with how I installed the program or just system settings.

Imported some media, and no problems with thumbnails.Only the next time I tried to add media, the thumbnails show 'hourglass' .. when I click on the hourglass, the photo's are there. I've tried to update thumbnails, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and still the problem exits. I have a Mac OS 10.6.8 system.

I updated to Elements 11 and still had the same problem. I followed some direction I found online for eliminating the catague cache, and it fixed the problem in 11, but not in 7. Till I learn to use 11, I would like to continue to use 7, so how do I fix this problem in Elements 7?

When I change the background (active command) to black, the cursor blends into it and not visible. Can’t see where is my current position when editing coordinates. The command background was black and text white for the last 10 years for 20 drafters; we would like to keep it this way
I have the testversion and i do some tests with Digital noise removal and a 10 megapixel Image and 0.3 megapixel image.
On my system, it happen that Paint shop wait around 4 sec and do nothing.then it begin to calculate and progress requester is show for around 1.5 sec
Can see when switch in task manager the CPU load refresh to high(4* /sec seem value update).when i choose a setting or i change a value it take always 4 sec until CPU load increase from idle % to full load.
I have also written a Bug report and suggest that Paint shop begin calc as soon as possible, and stop if a value is change and calc again soon as possible with new value.So all can work lots faster.currently i get no response.
The Smart Photo Fix, too have a delay before calc.It is 1 sec.I test with a 320*250 Pixel image (0.3 megapixel), here the additional delays are too in.
In the feature list X4 stand that it can use GFX Card to be faster.I have a gforce 6600 with older pixelshader.So i guess X4 use no GFX card.The render speed of all effects i think good, but the wait time make the usage of this program not fun. I think the X4 Version is great, very good denoise sharp and enhance photo functions.
I have ordered a Mac Pro, but it hasn't shipped from apple. But, there has been talk that there MIGHT be a hardware update to the Mac Pro in the near future, and it might be more cost effective to wait for that. Sitting on a ordered machin e that hasn't shipped yet, I'm having serious second thoughts on whether to cancel, or let the order go through.
It really want/need a new machine, I'm a working web designer and graphic artist that owns my own business, so I'm chained to my Wacom 50-60 hours a week, trying to stay in business. Right now I have a 4 year old pentium machine that I've just had enough of.
So, I ordered the Mac Pro with the following specs
Quad 2.66ghz
5 gigs of ram (added 4gigs to the existing 1)
250gb standard drive, and adding in a few more for scratch disk and storage
Dual Nvidia 7300 cards, for up to 4 monitors (I currently will use 3)
and the rest of the standard Mac Pro goodies. Cost about $3500
I'm a constant worry-wart and I'm thinking "Man, next month they'll have Octo-core machines with more ram for the same price, and I'll be screwed with this outdated junker macpro!!"
So, with the above specs, will I ever need more power for doing low-res web graphics, Flash design, php/html/css coding in dreamweaver, and designs in illustrator and indesign? And sometimes, all at once?
Or am I dreaming and this machine will ALWAYS be more than enough for web design work. Because in a day or 2, they're going to ship it to me and then it's a done deal.
I wanted a hot-rod. But the mac-forum guys have me all worried that an even better hot-rod is (maybe) just around the corner, and the smart choice is to wait and see what the Mac Pro v.2 looks like, and THEN buy it. Or, maybe I'd wait 6-8 months, they release MPv2, and it's not that huge of a deal and I'm out 6 months of having a decent machine (since I already waited a year... I bought a Mac Pro on the release day and canceled it).
For some reason, sometimes when working in Photoshop CS2 (PC platform) my paintbrush cursor changes. I have it set in preferences to show the brush size and it usually stays that way, but occassionally, it reverts to precise mode so I cannot see the brush size on the screen. The only thing that seems to work is closing PS and restarting it. What a pain.

The cursor will change to the rainbow loading symbol, and I can't click on anything else on the computer. After it is finished loading a few minutes later, everything else on the computer is slowed down. What can I do to make the program run faster, and stop it from freezing? Instead of the bucket with the pointy bit to show where you’re aiming, I get three tiny paint buckets in a horizontal line, looking a bit like a fragmented ruler, so it is impossible to see where the point of the paint bucket is. I have used CAPS LOCK to get the crosshairs but would refer the normal setting to be available too.
I have shut down the PC and restarted with PS9 as the only app open but I still get this funny cursor. Some of the cursors from other tools are also affected, esp. when I left-click.Have I changed a setting by accident?
Is it possible to change the cursor while a script is running? I have several scripts which work on large numbers of objects, and it would be very useful to have the cursor change to the spinning color wheel or hourglass while the script is looping away.
I understand that Adobe's JavaScript Toolkit would let you build a progress-bar dialog, but the delays are rarely long enough to justify such a thing. All the same, a change of cursor would reassure users (and not just me!) that things were indeed happening.
