I understand that Adobe's JavaScript Toolkit would let you build a progress-bar dialog, but the delays are rarely long enough to justify such a thing. All the same, a change of cursor would reassure users (and not just me!) that things were indeed happening.
Illustrator :: Text Loses Sentence Structure
Sep 5, 2012Why does my text lose its sentence structure when I save my file as an ai, PDF, or EPS and then bring that file back into Illustrator? I've set numerous bodies of text using the text box and also without the text box. It doesn't matter. I will bring that same document back into Illustrator and my full sentences will be chopped up. A full line of text, for instance, while keeping its format, will become fragmented once it's been dropped back into Illustrator. It's very frustrating. If I need to add a character to a fragmented sentence, it will shift the part of that sentence over that I'm adjusting, but other parts will not move so now I'm typing a letter over another letter.
I can make a text box and copy all my text, then paste it into that text box and all the sentences become connected again but I lose the formatting in the process. BUT, again, once that document is saved and brought back into AI, the sentences will again be fragmented.

Illustrator :: How To Change Type Insertion Point Vs Type Tool Cursor Position
Feb 11, 2014I'm using AI CC now, but I noticed this problem in earlier versions of AI: If I want to place a one-word label on an illustration I move the type insertion cursor to a speific point on the screen image and click, but then the flashing insertion point, where the label will actually start, pops up elsewhere, usually a line or two above where the cursor was, and a pica or two to the left, forcing me to type the label, then move it into position rather than simply typing it in the right place and moving on. The problem is merely annoying, but I'd like to fix it. It's probably a matter of ignorance-I simply haven't read the right documentation, but I don't know what to call the problem. Where can I find out how to change the position of the cursor relative to the insertion point?

Photoshop :: CS4 - Possible To Change Font Preview Word
Nov 15, 2013I know that with past versions, changing the word that was used to preview fonts ('sample') was not possible (in 2006 anyway). But, because I believe CS4 came out in 08, I was wondering if this was a feature that had been implemented since then for CS4.
If it wasn't done for CS4, is it currently available for CC? It would be a great feature to have! I know you can change the preview size but changing the word would be awesome if you're doing a 'try out' for how a specific phrase looks and want to glance at the preview list instead of going through each font with the arrow keys to change it.

I don't want to use eps and emf because of problem with the quality and the colors (for bigger illustrations...) and I don't want to use png.
Photoshop :: Cursor Change?
Aug 26, 2007For some reason, sometimes when working in Photoshop CS2 (PC platform) my paintbrush cursor changes. I have it set in preferences to show the brush size and it usually stays that way, but occassionally, it reverts to precise mode so I cannot see the brush size on the screen. The only thing that seems to work is closing PS and restarting it. What a pain.

Here is a set up:
I have font image with a tail connected to the font, Inside the tail i have another font that i want to weld, merge or whatever you call it so that when i remove the letters it is for say burnt into the tail so when i print it there will be no color. Feb 23, 2013I've designed a logo for a client using Illustrator CS6. There is the 4-color version in CMYK .eps as well as 1-color, 2-color, and KO versions. Everything looks and acts as it should and will no doubt be perfect for offset printing (my main area of experience). However, once delivered to the client they were anxious to put them into use and immediately dropped the 4-color version into a word document and made a pdf for email distribution. When I received it I had to groan, the colors had shifted to the obscene.
My guess is that what the client needs is a set of the logos that are converted to RGB. I'm also thinking that since the logos might be re-sized for various uses, keeping the art in the .eps format (as opposed to a raster format) makes sense. Is that true?
Is there an easy way to convert the original CMYK eps files to RGB within Illustrator?

It seems that I can only first type NO3, and then set 3 as subscript, afterwards I input -, and set it as superscript. But in this case 3 and – are not consistent in the horizontal position.
So I am wondering how to set up subscript and superscript to the same word at the same time?
