Yesterday, my text unit setting went wrong !
Now it's set in picas : « 2;0 pc » or « 0;7,5 pc »
I want it in set in points : « 24 pt » or « 7,5 pt »
How can I reset the unit setting to points ?
Have been working on a little something and would like to know what units the user is using in their document. Basically what is selected here:
The thing is, no matter what is there (and while all other menus and such use the units) Active Document.unit stubbornly returns inches. Is there a way to get the proper ones using VBA?
Is there quick way to switch between units of measurement in corel draw?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this has been reported but I found out today when working on a web design (hence working in the new unit - pixels) that you can't actually use the Dimension tools for measuring pixels. That's a pity because often you need to work with exact pixel dimensions when making websites and here the Dimension tools could come in very handy. It seems counting pixels by hand is a bit old-fashioned. Of course you can use calculations, but still...
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a model in imperial units with the parameter: Pin_Dia = 7mm.Now I'd like to use this parameter in a text field on a drawing, but its value will only display in inches.
(I don't know if it's called a field in Inventor, at least that's what the equivalent feature is called in AutoCAD.)I managed to fake it by creating a new parameter in inches: Pin_Dia_Metric = Pin_Dia * ( 1 ul / 1 mm ).
Now this shows up in the text dialog box as "7.0 ul." It still displays correctly, since the text field only shows the numerical value, but I really don't want to clutter up my Parameters list with a bunch of duplicated values for metric conversions.
Is there a way to change the units for just this one text field?-Using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2012
When using "pixel units" the position and sizes are reported rounded to the nearest pixel.
The two squares below are both reported as 2 pixels square. One is actually 1.5 pixels square:
can the pixel coordinates and sizes not be rounded?

When i try exporting text to a shp it just comes in as points but no text. This is with Map3d 2011.
I'm not sure if it's really recognizing it as text in the export dialogue box.

Looking for a nice script that can search a complex design with lots of linework and find all coinciding duplicates and select them all and delete them but leave (1) good copy.
Basically when I use Outline Pathfinder in Adobe Illustrator, then bring back into corel, sometimes get a lot of redundant objects. I already set the settings in Adobe Illustrator to minimize that as much as possible.
The problem I'm experiencing is that the first letter of text on each new line automatically turns into capital format. How can I change the settings so that it will stop doing this? how to create a bullet point?
View 8 Replies View Relatedi need to export 7 million points from a tin surface to text file with only NEZ in comma delimited format for Surfer 9 software. right now i have the civil 3d surface. but the export to csv stock reporting tool sucks. why the hell do you open the file and why leave an empty row between data points? so it's not usable.
also i have 12gb ram at work and it can't export surface points to autocad format ran out of memory. this is with surface display showing points and just the "dot" style so it's autocad points after export. i was originally planning on using "dataextraction" command in autocad to export to csv. worked on a small batch of file. so i think may work for the bigger file. but i would never know because i can't even get the points into autocad.
also yeah i would love to simplify the surface but it's so buggy that you asked it to remove 80% of the points it only remove 100k points at most out of 7 million. so not usable.
last resort is i can program something in vb.net but not much motivation on doing so.
I have a text file in PNEZD where D is XYZ. I have a description key for XYZ. I am importing this file into survey. When I import this file the points do not take the style of the description key, they take a default style from somewhere. What trick am I missing so that when I import points into survey they use the description key and therefore have the correct style.

Using the Direct Selection Tool I will often click and drag over one corner or side of a shape to select those specific anchor points. This works perfectly on a shape. However, I've noticed this doesn't work on a text frame. Using the same technique on a text frame results in all anchor points being selected. The only way, to my knowledge, to select specific anchor points on a text frame is to actually click on the anchor points themselves. If my memory serves me correct (Though there's a good chance I'm imagining things.) in past versions of Illustrator the aforementioned technique would've worked. What gives, CS6?

When I upload the data into autocad i can see the node points (+) and text in the top view. When switch to look at the points from the front view (to produce an elevation), the text and points appear as a flat line, although the insertion point of the node/text is still correct. I need to find a way of rotating the text and points so they are visible in this view. I will then flatten the points and cut them to the top view to produce a 2d elevation.

Long explanation: I created an annotation template to label pipe diameters on an imported shapefile. Everythings good, labels are parallel with lines, except for the fact that some labels are upside down. Is there an expression that would eliminate this? In my annotation template, my rotation expression equals the "angle" field of the object. My "quick and dirty" fix was to burst the annoation labels, and manually rotate necessary text, which wasn't a huge headache since I'm dealing with a relatively small number of labels, but in the future I might have hundreds of upside down labels.
I had to create a boundary map and place points to all corners. How to export these newly created points back into my data collector (Ranger) and also I'm trying to figure out how to print out a points list.

I have a large surface (over 1.5 million points and 20 000hectares)
I need to get a point file .csv from the TIN to be able to use it in another program.
-so i've extracted the points from my surface, but they are Autocad points.
-next step is to convert them to civil 3d points.
-I can not select them all when converting them or my computer crashes.
-so i select about 25 000 at a time, the converting takes roughly 10 minutes.
and i have over 1.5 million points to do.
how can i speed this up.
will more ram useful?
