Is this setting stored in the registry? Where?
...and why does Inventor default to a non metric measurement unit?
I would like a few rules to be triggered once the new drawing template is opened.select sheet size, I have been given a rule that already works, basically the rule selects a border and title block based on sheet size selection.
trigger = iTrigger0iLogicForm.Show("BorderChange", FormMode.Modal)iLogicVb.UpdateWhenDone = TrueIf Parameter("BorderSize") = "A0" Then ActiveSheet.ChangeSize("A0", MoveBorderItems := True)ActiveSheet.TitleBlock = "MJTD A0"ActiveSheet.Border = "MJTD A0.
[code]....
I would also like a rule to let me annotate in metric or imperial. this is where I require assistance. I am not sure the best way to achieve this rule. My programming is very basic.I have found some links here, but I can't seem to make them work in the drawing environment. Also these rules seems to change the units of an already created .ipt.

I am just looking for a rule to select either .in or mm from the styles library(i think) , before I even place a base view. Regardless of the original units used to make the model.
While working on different art through out the past year, my CorelDraw X3 increment settings change. EX: I'll add a 8 pt line to an object. Later on, I'll want to change it but the increments have changed to millimeters. The only way I can change it back is by pulling up the full outline options window. Is there a way to keep this from changing or at least change it back after it occurs?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just discovered the proof on /off switch in the bottom right hand corner in Draw. What is this for? I notice the colurs change when I switch it on or  off. I work with RGB and produce digital images for people to print out on their home printers to use in paper crafting. Should I have this switched on or off? I notice colours are slightly different when I print my designs off myself to what they are on screen. Is this an important feature or not. I only have a liminted basic understanding of the software and have only recently began colouring my images so don't know much about 'Colour' at all.

Yesterday, my text unit setting went wrong !
Now it's set in picas : « 2;0 pc » or « 0;7,5 pc »
I want it in set in points : « 24 pt » or « 7,5 pt »
How can I reset the unit setting to points ?
If there is a way to switch between the eye dropper/brush tool fast.
On Photoshop there the "alt" key but on my mac it really wastes a lot of time for blending colors .
I have been a user of Corel since 5 (not X5, but the original 5). In CorelDRAW X6 my quick pan with the center mouse button isn't working. It works fine in Corel Paint, but not in DRAW.Â

View 10 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this has been reported but I found out today when working on a web design (hence working in the new unit - pixels) that you can't actually use the Dimension tools for measuring pixels. That's a pity because often you need to work with exact pixel dimensions when making websites and here the Dimension tools could come in very handy. It seems counting pixels by hand is a bit old-fashioned. Of course you can use calculations, but still...
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my quick key "Control D" for Duplicate isn't working. It shows that it's still listed in the Tools, Options, Commands, Duplicate at times. At others, it appears empty. I now have to go to Edit and select the Delete function each time.
Is my CorelDraw falling apart?
When using "pixel units" the position and sizes are reported rounded to the nearest pixel.
The two squares below are both reported as 2 pixels square. Â One is actually 1.5 pixels square:
can the pixel coordinates and sizes not be rounded?

Is there a way to edit the Welcome/Quick Start screen?
I would like to make this:

Possible to control (i.e.: set up & check the current value) the drawing scale directly from the command bars, without having to get deep into the Options menu (which is really unpractical and slow).
Actually there is a "Drawing scale" icon, but it allows to choose only among a limited selection of values: if the required drawing scale is outside this range (which happens quite often in my job), there is no alternative from the Options way. Moreover, if the scale is not included into the above-mentioned selection of values, the icon will not show the set scale value, but only a totally useless "Custom" string.
I am an Interior Designer and I use Corel X5 for my drawings. I am trying to create a new rule for the Quick Correct. There is a default that changes 1/2 to 1/2 (where it is smaller - this is hard to explain) It makes the 1/2 smaller... I am trying to create more for 1/4, 1/8, etc. I can't figure out how to make it smaller like the 1/2 one is.

CorelDraw X5 v. 15.2.0.686 Hot Fix 4 - Windows 7-64

In some of the Photoshop "Extended" versions, there was a function in which one could apply a known measurment to an image and then determine other dimensions in the image. For example, if one were designing a sign for a building and shot a picture of the building with a known 5' doorway, one could use the measure tool (or whatever it was called in that function) to tell Photoshop that the doorway was 5'-0" wide.
From there, after you laid in the sign design, and used the measure tool on the sign image, Photoshop would tell you the dimensions of the sign based on the scale you set with the doorway. Now for the big question: One, does that function still exist, and two, if so, where do you find it?
I'm recording measurements (gray value) in a selection, using the "record measurement" in the measurement log panel. I need to repeat this over thousands of images. I've written an action that opens the images one by one (batch process), records the measurement and closes them.
However, after exactly 700 measurements, Photoshop stops and says that it cannot record this measurement. I've tried this with CS4 and CS5 (extended) as well, and I get the same result. why Photoshop measurement log has this "700 entry" limit?
when i make a new image how many pixels/inch must i use for the measurments to be exact?
The reason I ask is because i have to crop a picture to an exact size for use as a pasport picture.
the picture is 1.7 in. X 2.13 in. but when i place it in a new 4X6 it takes up nearly the whole document
I’m designing a DVD case cover. I’m printing it with my home printer, when I’m measuring it on the paper it larger than it specified in Photoshop. I have tried to check and uncheck the “Scale to Fit Image but its still not accurate. My image is : 297x210 Res : 300ppi Why the measurement on the paper and the document size in Photoshop are not the same? something to do with the printer driver? Any help?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am taking measurements of a large site plan for a report.  However, after I save and exit the image, it clears the measurement log.  In other words, after saving and exiting, and then reopening the image, the measurement log is clear. I can save the measurement log as a text file, but when I reopen the image, the data isn't there and I cannot find a way to link it back to the image. Is there a way to save the data with the image?

I am using CS4 Extended on Windows 8.

View 6 Replies View Relatedway to quantitatively measure the level of light intensity in different conditions. I know there are light intensity gauges that measure lumens and fc's but I was wondering if there is a way to measure the brightness of an image using photoshop?
So far I have noticed that there is a way to change basically everything about an image but I haven't found anything that gives me information about the picture itself besides its size and resolution.
Does anybody know how to measure light intensity or brightness of an image?
