On Photoshop there the "alt" key but on my mac it really wastes a lot of time for blending colors .

There are a shortcut key for switching from Smart Fill Tool to eyedropper for apply a color and not having to go to the color box to switch to eyedropper? That would be more faster!

How to switch off 3D paint FX brush in Maya 2013?
I used the Ellipse Select Tool to cut, then paste an area in an image. Now the move of this image component is done I need to 'switch off' the ellipse to paint outside it. I expected the 'Select' 'None' menu option to switch it off, but it doesn't.
What should I do?
when saving images for the web i try save them as indexed png's to save space.
however, when switching to indexed mode GIMP will alter my colours if i choose to use a palette with less colours than i have in the image. This is the most noticable if for example i have an image with bacgkround #ffcc00 and a multicoloured icon in the middle. due to the icon the image probably has over 100 colours. if i then choose 64 colours not only will it affect the colours in the icon, but change the entire, large, unicoloured background area to maybe fec50a (just an example). is there anyway to force GIMP to only use colours already present in the image?
I have Gimp 2.8 and I am using Single-Window Mode. I have about 15 images open at the same time and I am doing repetitive tasks on each of them. I made keyboard shortcuts to do the tasks themselves but I still have to use my mouse to go up and click the next tab to start work on the next image. It would save time if there were a keyboard shortcut. I see that under the Windows menu I can use Alt+1 through Alt+0 to select any of the first 10 images, but I have 15 open.
I wanted to know if there is a keyboard shortcut to just switch to the next tab or the previous tab.
i am planning to spend some weeks in France - and there i want to take many many pictues.

For a long time I'd been using Gimp 2.8.0 on my Mac Mini. (Running Lion) It worked well, but it had a few annoying Wacom-related bugs.
Today I upgraded to Gimp 2.8.6 ... and it's very very slow. I tried 2.8.4. Also slow. (On the plus-side, the Wacom bugs are totally gone.)
I tried a couple of different binary builds. The two linked from the Gimp homepage and one from Partha.com. All very slow. At print resolutions, even something as simple as changing a layer visibility (Previously almost instant) now takes the better part of a minute.
Did something horrible happen to the rendering code during the X11 migration?
I've tried
--Turning off all color management.
--Working on monochrome files. (No improvement, which makes me think it must be draw-related.)
-- Increasing and decreasing the tile-cache size.
--Cursing.
So far I've just been using pre-made binaries, but I'm not adverse to compiling my own if I absolutely have to.
Rolling back to 2.8.0 fixes the performance problem, but I'd really like to have the bug fixes.
For instance, when I go to paintbrush tool.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I'm editing an image and I click the toolbox (or, say, the docked layers dialogue), if I hover my cursor back over the image and press and hold spacebar so I can scroll around the image, currently I have to click within the image window before it registers my keystroke.
The more intuitive behavior and what I want to be able to do is just hover my mouse cursor over a window and and keystrokes or scrolling I perform happen within that window. This currently happens if I scroll using my mouse scroll wheel, but not with keystrokes.
I'm using single window mode in Gimp 2.8, though I've also experienced this issue in non-single window mode when using Gimp 2.6.
My install of Max Design 2013 has no 'Net Render' button/switch. I've searched everywhere after not seeing it in the usual place. I've opened a Max 2012 file (which was saved with 'Net Render' enabled) in Max 2013 and can not change it.
I see that the 'Render' button of Max 2013 now has a list and 'Submit to Network Rendering...' can be chosen there. Sure, I could go back to Max 2012 and disable the 'Net Render' in the file and then reopen it in Max 2013 and probably be OK but what if I don't have Max 2012 to do that and I receive a file that has 'Net Render' enabled? How am I to disable it?
My model space has been switched to a 3D space and I'm having a hard time figureing out how to change it. I would like it to be a 2D space. I am using Auto CAD 2007.

When I go to use any tool that requires me to drag the mouse it causes the brush tool to make a single dot and it does not follow the mouse. Untill I switch windows with Alt + Tab and then back again, then it works fine.

I want to switch out that black car with the red color with the same background (doesn't have to be the same red car as below, just a 2012 Red Nissan 370z (with same wheels as below if possible)).
View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically I have an image that I created that has 3 layers. 1 is a bunch of brush strokes that are red, one with strokes that are green, and 1 with strokes that are blue. What I want to do is take the red layer and make all its strokes green, and vice versa, basically just switching the color of everything on the layers. I would think there is some kind of setting I could just change.

I can capture using my Canon Vixia HV40 and Sony FX1000 via Firewire with no problems using HDV Split, Roxio Creator and Cyberlink Powerdirector, so problem must be somewhere with VS X5.I can "control" the camera (stop, play, rewind, etc) through VS X5, but the Capture and Option buttons are grayed out and no image in preview window.

We just upgraded to ACA 2013. I am trying to get a handle on our office standards. Part of doing that is to try and use as much out of the box as possible and keeping with the AIA layer standards.
I have always used CTB for plotting. I am just now trying to learn about STB for the first time.
In the past, I would change things like a wall styles layer key style and display properties to conform to my CTB in order for it to plot the correct line weights.
I want to be able to leave everything alone as much as possible and use STB. I want to use the AIA layers that ALL objects come in on as they are so that our office can use 100% of the out of the box objects and me not have to worry about changing each style to print properly.
So I am going to make office standard wall, door, window, etc. styles which will mostly be out of the box styles. I also want people to be able to use the detail components. Some editing will take place but only in design, not layer key styles or display. I guess basically what I'm asking is this, is it possible to get things to plot the way I want without having to change anything about them, using a STB plot style and leaving all objects alone to exist on there AIA layers?
First of all I want to introduce myself. My name is Joshua, I'm from beautiful little Switzerland (yeah, lot of chocolate and cheese here!), and I'm a webmaster (HTML, CSS, PHP, Ruby on Rails) and programmer (C, Java, PHP, Ruby).
At the moment I have to rely on other guys to create nice website layouts, but now I want to learn it myself using Photoshop. :-)
My first question is quite simple: I'm working on Mac OS X Tiger and I'd like to switch between buttons in Photoshop dialogs using the tab key... So if I e.g. want to close an image and I'm asked if I want to save the file, then I can't switch to "No" using tab (as a programmer I don't want to use my mouse too often ;-) ).
Is there an option to activate this? In Mac OS X I have activated this option, but in Photoshop it doesn't seem to work...
I have successfully installed Photoshop CS3 onto Windows XP SP2. However, I do not want my install to be completely silent: I want to see a progress bar.
For silent install I use the following switch: setup.exe --mode=silent
The next line in cmd says"UI:Silent"
If I use no switches (only type in setup.exe), the next line in cmd is: "UI:Full" Also, "setup.exe --mode=gui" will initiate "UI:Full".
What are other install switches? I want a silent install with a progress bar only.
I don't really like having the little palette buttons show up on the right side with the newer versions of Photoshop. Is there a way to permanently switch those off?

I have a MaxStart.max file with my basic VRay settings, VrayPhysicalCamera, Vray sun and sky system already in place. This is how I would like to start my each and every new Max scene. Unfortunately, regardless my settings, each time I restart Max, these bloody "mental ray extensions" are on again and again.
Is there any method to keep them off efficiently? So this does not return anymore?
Is it possible to choose a viewport driver before launching 3ds max? I assume there could be a switch I would set in a desktop shortcut.
