CorelDRAW X5 :: Get Some CDR Files That Contains Status Bar Info?
Jan 26, 2012
Somtimes I get some cdr files that contains in Status Bar information about embedded bitmap source and file extention etc. I`m not talking `bout linked bitmap files. And in some cases can see the path, but in other cases not.
n my Image i have several layers, and two adjustment-layers for manipulating hue/saturation of parts of certain layers. Think something like having a picture of a person, and having the adjustment-layers to change the persons pants and shirt independently. So you can easily make color-variations of what the person wears, and save them, e.g. as jpg.  What I want is to add a little textarea which ends up on each jpg (not meta-data, I mean readable in a corner on the actual image), that gives me the color-values from the adjustment layers that were used to create that very image. So at a later time when I have one of my jpgs and it hits me that this exact color-combination is perfekt I can recreate it easily. Of course I could do it by hand, but is there a way to automate it, using text-variables linked to the hue/saturation-layers?
it's possible to see a status of savon operations in CorelDraw X6? I've read that the progress bar has changed to a small icon in the statusbar in X5, but in my recently installed X6 there's no such thing. I always have to guess whether Corel is done saving or not. This is also relevant for exporting to PDF.
forcing the measuring tool to measure only horizontally/vertically. The automatic function does not always do the trick. I have a feeling that the improvements of the measuring tool has actually made it less usable. The centering of the values used to work better in X4 and I still haven't managed to change the default color of the measurement lines and text
I just installed X6 and I noticed in the status bar the width of the object I click on only shows up with black outlines. If it is a colored outline, it shows the color but no width. If it is black it will show the outline as black but also the width.Â
I don't know why it happens but whenever I start Corel it starts fine but after a while the color information disappears and says "Processing" until I restart it. I have uninstalled, F8, latest updates, the whole bit. I work in the sign business so I must be crazy.
I have this weird problem where some objects won't work like the usual. The original pic is like this, but when I see it in thumbnail in windows explorer, some objects are missing but they're still there when you open the file!
I marked the status bar, in those missing objects it says "Curve on Desktop" while other objects of corelDraw, no matter what kind of file, they're always written as "Curve on Layer 1".
And then when I Ctrl+G all the objects above in pic 1, all those objects with Curve on Layer 1 and Curve on Desktop, it becomes like this: I don't know what happened. When I made the shape in the 1st pic, I used old file with similar shape, I only edit the sizes & the colors, but previous File is just fine, only this one looks weird.
Back in x3 and earlier versions, bottom of workspace, you had a option for Object Details and Object Information it would display the font used & Size used if you made a rectangle it would give it's sizes h & w
How do I get this set back up in x5, running win7 64 bit.
Is there a way to have the status bar show up whenever a file is printing or saving. So far the only way it shows up is if you click on the little icon at the bottom right of the window.
This is an interesting question. As most of your probably know, Filebrowser is kind of an app with an app. You can open a RAW camera file and set all the parameters for conversion, then update the file without opening it by choosing the alt (PC) or option (Mac) key. This changes the convert box to update.
A friend of mine, also a photographer, applied color corrections to an entire wedding using Filebrowser and updating his RAW files. He then burned a DVD of the RAW files and sent it to his lab. They converted his files and posted a web gallery. He then noticed that the files were horrible! All the conversion settings were not retained with the RAW files.
I have always assumed that any updated conversion information was stored in the EXIF information of the RAW file. Now I'm beginning to wonder if it's stored in the Filebrowser cache or meta information. If this is the case, then which files need to be kept with the RAW files when you transfer them to another computer? Can this be accomplished?
I just installed X5 (and whatever patches/updates I could find) but I'm still having a problem with my layers info disappearing. I have to close the program, reopen and sometimes repeat before the layers reappear.
I just updated my CorelDraw for X6 to X6.2 and now my object manager will not display the detailed information about the curves. It use to show the fill color, "CMYK, 0,88,77,50" outline fill color CMYK 0,0,0,100"
Now it just shows the curved symbol. Would like to get this back.
In the object manager docker, is there some way to turn off the information that appears when you hover the cursor over an item? I found that turning off tooltips does not affect it.
Resetting the User Setting with the the F8 key didn't solve the problem. Once the user gets caught up on a couple projects I'll try to update the version to SP3 and the hotfix.  Â
i pushed tab, or F, or both, or neither. Either way, the status bar is no longer there. i do not see any Window->Status Bar option. Where is the option to toggle the status bar visibility. CS4
Last night while watching the progress of the status bar I glanced down and saw there is also one in Photoshop icon on the Dock. I had never noticed it before.
Nothing earth shattering here but it's funny how you can walk down your street for years and then one day notice something. And you scratch your head and say "Has this always been here?
i have looked everywhere for torublshooting for this. but they are all for 3d max 2009. I have the 2012 version and the render status bar is gone missing. I cannot find the INI file.
I am trying to clean up our drawing database and have run across several drawings that are showing external file references with a status of 'unreferenced'. During a scan early last week of all current revisions of our drawings (about 120000) we uncovered about 7500 drawings that don't quite cut the mustard as it pertains to the use of attachments. I have written a small .NET app that scans through my drawings, but I am having difficulty with one aspect of my probing.
I need to be able to open up an AutoCAD drawing, navigate to said drawings image dictionary, get a RasterImageDef from that dictionary, and then check to see what the 'status' of that drawing is. By 'status' I mean the status as reported in the External References dialog that appears when using the command 'xref'. In particular, I want to write out/show a message when I encounter a drawing with an attachment that has a status of 'Unreferenced', which I take to mean that the drawing was attached at one point, has been unloaded, but not properly detached.
My problem is that I can't seem to get to any property that shows that status. I have used ARXDBG to snoop the database and I can verify that I see the images still in the image dictionary, but not in the drawing itself. I also can't seem to get at thte status of the attachment. To compund the matter, everytime I try to inspect the RasterImageDef object I get, AutoCAD locks up and bombs out.
I am guessing I could get at what I need via C++/ObjectARX but I don't want to go that route if I dont have to. I have attached a snippet of the code I am currently using to scan through my drawings, not perfect or even pretty, but it works.
I am working as an IT Support staff in a small organization. Being a new employee here I could not find out the details of AutoCAD 2010 CD, whether its a single user or network user, its upgraded or not. How Can I find these details using the serial number and product key of the CD.
I just installed 2011 and was in the process of setting up my workspace when I realized i could not find the Status Bar pull down on the View Tab/Windows Panel. Help still says it is there. When I went into the CUI I could not find the command or even the icon. I know that you can right click and edit the status bar buttons but you can only do them one at a time and then you have to right click again to get rid or add the next button and then right click again....the drop down, available in the last several releases enabled you to just check them on or off all at one time.
LT 2013. Under Layer Ctrl, the status tab (light blue sheet of paper icon), highlights as light blue (in use), regardless of whether or not its in use. The only way I can force a refresh is deleting / attempting to delete a layer (eg. del '0' which obviously dosen't work); but forces an update, where those in use remain light blue, and those not in use revert to white/grey.
how I can fix this quirk of not updating/refreshing when the Layer Ctrl is opened.
When in the layer properties manager....then in the layer filter properties....when i click into the 2nd tab "status" it shows me 4 icons when using the drop down icon..what are each of these representing
I'm using LR 4.3 on a Win 7 64 bit PC. I notice that many of my photo's show "Metadata Status has been changed" but when I try to synchronize the folder(s) the message does not change. However, when I click the icon next to the message it will update that one photo. How can I update ALL photo's so they have the current and correct metadata without going one photo at a time.
With my dng files, when saving metadata to file (ctrl + S), after a moment the status of the file is become again as if I had not save the metadata. I used an old trick for this bug : saving metadata, then importing metadata from file, then it is durably ok.
I finally managed to capture this phenomenon.... It happens every day, several times a day, but I was never able to capture it until now. Seems to occur when you open and close various palettes, but it's not reproducible on demand. Â
