How to get back to the old way to zoom in CorelDRAW? In version X5 the zoom function doesn't work as i did in earlier versions. I want the view to center to where I have the cursor when I zoom in or out.
I do not know why this function does not come by default in CoreDraw: "Center mouse when zooming with mouse wheel" From my point of view is much more accurate. The default option in recent versions is a mess when zooming with wheel. Is there a reason? There are some other features that you think have no reason to be?
I use the zoom function on a photo, how do I save the zoomed version? In other words, I want to be able to save without requiring the user to click and zoom.
I just installed 13.0.3 upgrade for 64 bit and now when I resize an image to, say 800 x 600 pixels, the resulting image is very small. To get the image to display in the window at the same size (100%) as before the upgrade I have to zoom to 200 - 300%, and get the associated pixelation. Nothing else on the computer has changed (i.e., display preferences) to my knowledge. I am using a rMBP running OS X 10.8.2. what 100% zoom looks like now, which is about 1/3 the size an image like this used to be prior to the upgrade.
Since a few days I have a trial version of new CS6 and there I miss the possibility to zoom in / out with scroll function of mouse, where is it hidden ?
I'm using CS6 on windows 7-64bit with a keyboard and a mouse. I have a problem with the default functionality of the "Alt" key in windows 7. For those of you that are familiar with the default functionality of the alt key in windows 7, please skip to the next paragraph. For those of you not familiar, pressing the alt key in most programs in windows will highlight the toolbar so that you can use the keyboard to make selections within your "File", "Edit", "View", etc. toolbars if your mouse goes dead.
My problem is that I use the Alt + Mouse Scroll for zoom all the time. I rely on that feature probably more than I should. Yes, I could use cntrl + or cntrl - for zoom but that means I have to take my right hand off my mouse and I use photoshop 8+ hours a day some days. Time is of the essence to complete projects by the deadline.
I've tried disabling the default alt function in windows 7 (didn't work because you can't without third pary openware). I've tried duplicating the shortcut in the Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts menu (didn't work because it doesn't recognize the mouse scroll).
Is there a way to zoom in towards a collection of photos or video using the GIF function of Photoshop without a frame by frame tactic? Like I have a video of a boat sailing and I want to zoom into a section of the boat during the playback? Are frame by frame images the only way to do this?
I'm working on a big document (we use cdr for producing brochures). I know that when I save it takes around 30s, but as soon as I click the save icon it greys out as if it's saved the document instantaneously (as do the save, save as and save as template menu commands).
Unless I wait the 30s or so, when I try to do something the program either doesn't respond or crashes. If I wait, it's ok - trouble is I don't know exactly how long to wait as there is no on-screen indication (and the icon is telling me it's all done, which it isn't).
After Installing Corel X6 I found it's no longer possible to edit bitmaps directly from CorelDraw X5. I uninstalled Photopaint X5 but that didn't work. I checked the filetype and made sure that cpt files were opening with Photopaint X6 but Edit Bitmap remains greyed out in CorelDraw X5. Is this because X5 is 32 bit and X6 is 64 bit? I still need to use X5 because various macros don't work with X6. How can I get Edit Bitmap to work both in Draw X5 and Draw X6?
I have to be able to do this. I setup every cad program I've ever used this way but everytime I try in corel draw it launches help. I don't care if i have to disable the help, I need my F1 key as zoom window.
In X5 holding [Shift] while zooming with the scroll-wheel decreases the zoom step size. In X6, holding [Shift] has no effect and CorelDraw zooms in the same large steps as when zooming without holding [shift].
I have both X5 and X6 installed. X5 performs as it should, X6 does not.
why [shift] has no effect? I desperately want the smaller zoom-steps back!
When I select an anchor point with Edit Anchor tool, the Property bar activates settings for adjustment of this anchor point. I can change the angle at which anchor point receives connection. When I de-activate this button (see the picture) it de-activates the angle field... and nothing changes! The connector behavior is the same as before.
The question is: What is the function of that button? I think there must be only the angle field.
I am using Corel Draw X4 to create stuff to cut on a laser engraving system and am having trouble with the bitmap trace function. For example: I create a line of text. First, I convert it to a bitmap. Then I trace the bitmap using the logo option. After doing this, when I move the text on the page, it appears several of the letters (the tall ones like capital letters and so forth) are missing during the moving process, but when I stop moving it, they appear again.
My problem is when I save the file and then open it in my laser program, these missing letters that are present when I move the text in corel draw translate into missing letters in the laser program, so it seems this is a Corel Draw problem but I don't know how to get rid of it.
I've noticed that DRAW seems to forget whatever settings I choose for duplicate.
So, I found the following in the index:
"Copying objects quickly. You can use other methods to create copies of objects quickly, without using the Clipboard. You can use the plus sign (+) on the numeric keypad to place a copy of an object on top of the original object, or you can create copies instantly by pressing the Space bar or right-clicking while dragging an object."
The + sign thing is cool. Wish I had known. But the Space bar drag either doesn't work at all or puts down one copy at what is apparently a set distance from the original, and then a second copy wherever I release the mouse button. ? Win7, DRAW X6.
I am designing large signs in corel draw ( 29 feet x 15 feet ). When I zoom out it only goes to 3%. Is there a way to let corel let me work with larger signs?
In PS, if you hold the Z key and move the mouse/stylus left/right, it smoothly zooms in by small increments, and the zooming is centered on where your mouse is.
I know some will say that Draw shouldn't try to be PS or Illustrator, but this type of functionality is really nice, and it would be great to have something similar.
I have A and D mapped to zoom in/out but it seems like big zoom jumps and it's a little finicky to get the stuff on the screen you want to see at a high enough zoom level without having to use zoom tool and draw a box. To get, the positioning, I have pan once on S key, but getting a good zoom level is still a bit finicky.
In some previous versions, when I zoom In/Out with mouse-scroll it will zoom to mouse pointer and centre to the screen itself, but in Corel draw X5, the zoom function works properly but not center to screen the mouse-pointer and document.
I am using Windows7 (64 bit) machine and CorelDRAW X6 (64 bit) software and also installed HP 5610 all-in-one scanner / printer but i noticed in CorelDRAW X6 / Corel PP x6 acquire image >> select source... and acquire.. are disable.
it is bug or need some more software to enable for CorelDRAW x6 because HP 5610 Scanner work with other software.
How do I get a normal brush or spray function? Now, when I release the mouse button, the lines turn into a fancy balloon image. I know that comes from the Brush Stroke List or the Spraylist File List, but how do I turn those functions off?

On choosing an export option from the 'Save as type' box the drop down menu flashes and closes - usually 2 or 3 times - before settling down and I can make a choice. Everything afterwards proceeds as normal.
When I Zoom in my drawing on a specific area and press F3 to come to the previous zoom level it doesn't happen. inspite of this drawing will zoom out with another sequence.
Using CorelDraw X6 on Windows 8 x64, and a Kensington Expert Mouse (that's a type of trackball).
For some reason, I can't use the wheel to zoom in or out. Just doesn't work. The drivers are installed, and the wheel works fine in all other applications, but absolutely refuses to cooperate in CorelDraw X6.2 (had this issue since CorelDraw 6).
I have become very attached to having the mouse scroll wheel 'auto center the view at the cursor point' when I scroll in and out...I am not too happy with the new 'hold the wheel down and move the screen position' feature on x6. Can the old wheel configuration/centering be activated in x6?
