I'm running Windows 7 64bit on a relatively high end PC: 2.65 gigahertz Intel Core i7 920, 6 GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 [Display adapter] (2x) in SLI, etc...
So when I attempt to open eps file, it simply hangs, and eventually says NOT RESPONDING. As I type this I've been attempting to open a file for over 30 minutes. I've tried rebooting to no avail.
Since upgrading the server in our office Autocad 2013 is having trouble opening files. When I attempt to open a file the progress bar gets to about 85%, a "not responding" message comes up for about 15-20 seconds, and then the file opens. Two workstations in the office have AutoCAD 2013, one has 8GB RAM and Windows 7 64 bit, the other has 16GB of RAM and also a WIndows 7 64 bit OS. Neither PC had issues opening files before the new server went in, and neither PC is having problems with any other network program. Is there somewhere within the program or in Autocad's registry entries that might still be pointing to the old server? I have tried the following, Firewall has been turned off, VP has been disabled, repair has been run on the program (through programs and features in the control panel). I have email support through Autocad and sent them an email this morning, but have yet to receive a response.

When I try to close CorelDraw, it says that I cannot close it while I have the photo open in Photopaint. However, Photopaint is no longer running. This is new problem since I installed Patch 3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently have installed Corel Draw x5 and everything was working perfectly fine when all of a sudden it stopped opening .cgm files. It will pop up the message of Corel Draw has stopped working and then I click OK and it closes the program. Every other file extension I have tried opens prefectly fine.
Here are a couple of things that I've done so far:
1. Reverted back to a Default Workspace.
2. Closed out all Dockers.
3. Reinstalled entire program and all features. Updated all patches and Clean booted the PC with only MS Services running. (As instructed by Corel Support)
I have the Creative Suite cs5.1 student version (had it for about a year now), and now recently I have started to encounter a strange bug with Photoshop.
Sometimes when I have been working in PS for a while and then open another file, the photoshop starts acting weird, resulting in the file looking like this: [URL] .....
And if I try to paint anything, it will look pixelated like in this file: [URL] .... and if I use ctrl+z after painting the paint just looks like this: [URL]...... the 2 last named effects will also apply for any images opened before this occurrence, and it happens for any file type.
I have checked my video card drivers, and they are up to date, so that's not a problem (My graphics card is ATI Radeon 5700 series). I've also run a throughout virus scan with Norton without it finding anything.
System is Windows xp pro 32 bit with 3GB ram. Cannot save or even close out photoshop. Need to end task and start over again. Sometimes documant will be recovered sometimes not.

Two weeks ago I started having this problem: as soon as I select any command from the File menu that should open a dialog (Open... Save As... Import...) the program freezes and I see (not responding) in the upper left title bar.
No way to go on. The only solution is to close the program.
Reinstallation from scratch included. System recovery to factory image included. No solution.
First of all, let me say that I am very enthused with the changes in CS4. I feel that this is the best update to PhotoShop that I have seen, and I am a user since version 3.0.
The problem that I see, ocassionally, is that PhotoShop becomes non-responsive for a long period ie: 1-2 minutes. I have experienced this on both my desktop (64 bit Vista Ultimate and 64 bit CS4) and my laptop (32 bit Vista Ultimate). During this time the disk drive is continuously active as though it is swapping the file to disk. The file size, however, is not large enough to cause this and the utilization factor is shown as well below 100%. After a period of time the disk drive stops and CS4 becomes responsive again.
The system is an AMD dual core processor with 6GB RAM on the desktop and 2GB RAM on the laptop. Both systems use SATA hard drives. The CS4 scratch disc is a separate dedicated drive on the desktop. Both systems use Nvidia video and open GL is working fine on both computers. Both computers have the latest Nvidia drivers. Since there are no open GL problems, I assume that the video drivers are okay. As I have said, I see this problem on both my laptop and my desktop.
When my PSE10 stops responding, as it frequently does, it does not pay to wait. Even if it finally responds, I have to shut down my computer before I can access the app and begin work again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using Roto Brush for a while today and everything was working as expected. I Roto Brushed about 20 frames, just doing touchups where necessary. However, after a while, Roto Brush just stopped responding to new strokes. I could not add or remove from the mask. I've tried flushing the RAM and then restarting AE but the problem persists.
I'm using After Effects CC on Windows 7 64-bit with 16GB of RAM.
I made a screen cast to show the problem. You'll see me painting to add and remove from the mask on a couple of frames. Roto Brush looks like it's going to do something but then nothing changes in the mask.URL....
I've been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for a couple of months to create 11x8.5 photo collage's as part of my digital scrapbook. Yesterday, when I tried to create a new collage the program stopped responding and forced me to close it. It will only do this with an 11x8.5, it's not a problem for any other size, unfortunately the rest of my pages are 11x8.5 so I really need to be able to use this size!

I have tried restarting my computer, closing all other programes and only having autocad running, opening the file on a diffrent computer, and updating my graphic driver.

I purchased CorelDraw X6 because it is a vector based program. I use vector drawings with my CAM software. I checked before purchasing that CorelDraw exported to AI and DXF. I have not been able to export the file to AI or DXF and have the file be in a vector form. When I try loading the AI or DXF file, the file is a bitmap.
What do I have to do to get Corel Draw to export the lines in a vector format that I can use?
I just installed Autodesk Inventor Pro 2014 as a student for my engineering class and I have yet to get it to work properly. Every time I try to open the program, it will open to the main selection page. But the first click I do on the screen causes it to say 'not responding'. I have to close the program and try opening it again. The second time, it does not even get past the opening screen. It freezes and I end up having to log off of my user and log back in. I have the 64-bit version that matches my computer.

"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So far never received any notifications about a solution. After about 15 minutes of use in Photoshop CC (32 or 64 bit), it suddenly stops letting me either create a new file or open an existing one. I select File->New->the new document dialog appears and I select the defaults and click OK. Nothing happens. Same thing with File->Open->select an existing image file and it never appears.
If I reboot my computer or logout and sign in with a different account, re-open Photoshop CC, it allows me to create and open files without issue...for about 15 minutes and then the same thing happens. This is NOT an illegal copy of the program! I am a paid subscriber.
Recently I have been making cloisonne pins and was referred to Vector Files. I take a bitmap and use the trace outline to either detailed or clip-art depending on which looks better.
My problem occurs after my artwork is finished and needing to create a general outline of the object to show what the border of the pin would be. I am also trying to provide a look with the slightest bit of depth to show how the impression of the lapel pin should look.
I want to import AI vector file into corel draw but it seemed not possible to me, i did try with .ai, .eps , .pdf files but its not working with corel draw. Is there any way to do that.

I know there are tracing programs available, but I want to make it as hard as can be so this logo will not get re-edited.
I designed it for a customer (belongs to us) they did not contract/pay us for it. We do all of their clothing. She is sponsoring an event and the event coordinator wants the logo to put it on their advertising. Just don't want it to end up on other clothes.
Can you download a Google Docs Drawing file as a file.svg type And then import it to CorelDraw and convert it to a bunch of CorelDraw vector based lines that can be modified like any other CorelDraw line drawing?
BTW, this is a drawing of a character and is simply b&w lines & shapes on a white background.Line widths vary in the original and we want to be able to modify them even more using all the tools in CorelDraw.
I was able to open the .svg file with CorelDraw but when attempting to 'Edit' a line in the drawing I couldn't change the line width... so it isn't behaving like a CorelDraw vector drawing.
I have a ai file that I can not seem to be able to openup in coreldraw. I have tried converting it to eps from an Illustrator program but still does not make any difference. The file comes up with an error occurred when processing and file connot be opened. Most of the AI files I get open up with coreldraw easily but there must be something different with this one that is stopping it from opening.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I double-click a file it will open the file in CS6 version 13.0.1, but then after a while double-clicking will no longer open jpeg or raw files. I can open the same files by going to File > Open in the Menu Bar.
When I am simply opening downloaded files from my camera, I can open 200-300 by double-clicking with no problems. However, at times when I am working on an image, it is not long before I can't open a file by double-clicking. It will open a blank Photoshop window, but without any Toolbar or Menu Bars.
This happens on a regular basis. Sometimes, also, Photoshop is slow to Quit, for no apparent reason.
The imported file is probably from Illustrator. The vector element in question is text converted to curves with a CMYK bit map fill. CorelDraw X5 seems unable to extract the bitmap fill from the vectors. What's up with this, is there anyway to extract the bitmap fill?
View 3 Replies View Related I am running the Coreldraw x6 suite on a PC laptop (I7 16GB ram 64bit) on Windows 8. I haven't had any issues lately until last week when it just crashed every time I opened a file. I tested it and if I create a file with just shapes in it, then it's fine. As soon as I add a font into the file it crashes and shows the attached image.
I checked the latest window updates and there hasn't been one recently that could have affected it. There was one for Flash and I removed it but no difference. I haven't made any changes to my computer in the last 2 weeks that could affect it and I don't have any viruses or trojans. I have also removed the Windows update from a while back that affected Coreldraw fonts.
I've even resorted to uninstalling and re-installing X6. I tried running the fresh install and the same thing happened again.

After opening the wrapping is in "Straddle Text" mode...
I am working with columns of paragraph text and this thing makes me very angry, because I must re-set this objects' wrapping mode to compensate text flow-back.
I am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
