I seem to have lost the functionallity of double-clicking on an image placed in CDR X5 to automatically edit in Photopaint. The checkbox in tools/options/edit is checked and photopaint can certainly be opened in the Application Launcher but double-click does nothing.
View 5 RepliesI would like to know if some users have the same problem : when I vectorize manually a bitmap with the polyline tool of CorelDraw X6, sometimes I have two nodes very close (I don't understand why because I do one click with my mouse...). I change my mouse without improvement.Do you know a macro to clean my polylines and to transform the "double" nodes in a single node (adjusting the gap distance) ? The reduce nodes feature in CorelDraw is not nice to do that.

But once Draw is open and minimized and I double click a second file from Explorer or on my desktop, the second file refuses to open in Draw. I have to Restore Draw and either use the file open command or double click the file again from Explorer once it's restored.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open PhotoPaint X5, which is part of my CroelDRAW X5 Suite, I receive an error message; "PhotoPaint has stopped working". CorelDraw X5 opens correctly without any problem.
I have un-installed and re-installed the CDX5 Suite, but the problem still persists.

I am a long time user of Corel products (well, since Corel 4). I have been running Corel 12 for several years, as financially, as a pensioner it is not viable to keep up grading and 12 has been perfectly adequate. I am on Windows 7 Home premium, and I know that 12 was not designed for that platform, however it has been operation satisfactorily since 7 came out. Today, It has crashed, and I am unable to open photopaint at all either from the shortcut or the program list.
(Corel Draw, which is the only other part of the suite I use) appears to open and be available. I tried to repair with the original disk to no avail, so that having failed I did an uninstall, cleared the caches the temporary files and did a clean install. Corel Draw is still working, but Paint will not open at all. The logo appears then totally disappears after a few seconds leaving the desktop clear. There has been no changes to the computer recently and until last night the program was working fine.
Working in photopaint . . . all goes well until I try to save or close the file. Then it stops responding. When I try to close CorelDraw, it says that I cannot close it while I have the photo open in Photopaint. However, Photopaint is no longer running. This is new problem since I installed Patch 3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting "File - Acquire Image" in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it does not see my scanner, yet when I open Corel PhotoPaint X5 the scanner is there and I can scan directly from there.
The scanner also works fine in Adobe Acrobat and other software installed on my computer. Only Corel PhotoPaint X6 is not working
My corel x4 was coryupt and I had to install my older Corel 12.
Options on this corel are different. So in Corel 12, how do i change the settings so that when I double click on an image, it will open it in Corel photo for editing?
PhotoPAINT doesn't cycle through the images of an animation right after creating a new one.
Here are the steps to reproduce:
Create a new image and select, say, 5 frames for the image. Add some imagery to each of the frames (and don't forget to flatten the object hierarchy as PhotoPAINT doesn't deal with graphic objects for animated images.) Open the Film tool window and hit the [Play] button. Result: The image does not get animated.

I've been using these two programs for some time with no problem. I recently upgraded some of my adobe software and now when I try to open CorelDRAW of Photopaint, there is no welcome screen anymore and I can't click on anything.
Is there something conflicting with the welcome screen (flash or something that the welcome screen uses) that perhaps was installed with one of the adobe products, maybe? Not sure if it matters but I updated adobe dreamweaver and fireworks.Both programs are unusable now with this loading problem.
I have had CorelDraw & Photopaint X4 installed for several months and just started having this problem.
CorelDraw: Every time I use the Fill Color option, whether by double-clicking the bucket icon at the bottom OR using the option in the toolbar, the program freezes and never recovers. When I use the color palette to fill a shape, I do not encounter the problem.
PhotoPaint: Every time I use the Image ->Paper Size option, the program freezes and never recovers.
I have reinstalled the program and the problem persists.
These are options I use often, and if I don't find the solution I will have to find an alternative to Corel.
Corel X4, still installed on my PC, has no problem at all.But Corel X6 (CorelDRAW as well as CorelPHOTOPAINT) crashes after the preview scan with Epson Scan (EPSON Perfection V330 Photo) in professional mode. When I use the simple mode (which does all automatically: preview scan, border recognition, best guess about resolution and color mode and the final scan) there also is no problem.
But I wonder what the TWAIN driver does with Corel X6 after having finished the preview scan ..I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the (latest) driver suite from EPSON without success.
After using Camera Raw Lab for .NEF files, photopaint seems to be incapable of exporting the file to a jpg file without extra fiddling.
I can export after I convert the file to RGB mode, but I want to understand why I cannot export as a jpg without doing that...?
Is it possible that I can open a bitmap present in a coreldraw file in photoshop, edit it there and it gets back to its original position. that is the thing for which corel photo paint gets opened, i can set Adobe Photoshop for editing images?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several book cover designs that I've been working on in CorelDraw saved as CDRs, but now when I go to open them, they open as CDRs in Corel Photo Paint, I don't understand why? I've tried the Open from File Menu and then Save As CDR , but it doesn't work either. Is it possible I clicked on something I shouldn't have? Also, I need to separate the background from one of the designs in bitmap, the image is as if its all grouped together and won't ungroup or let me edit it, I did not save in layers or masks (any other way I can still try and edit it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI posted this topic about Corel x4 and got some answers. Unfortunately it didnt work because my corel was corrupt. But now I installed my old Corel 12 and tried to follow the instructions the same way as they told me to do it in Corel x4, but the options are different.
So..... how do i make the settings so that when i double click on an image in corel 12, it will take me directly to Corel Photo for editing.
From my vecor drawing program i export a file as DXF/DWG.
Then this file is run true a program to determinaded the plotting lenght on a lasercutter.
But a simple drawing takes som 80 minutes to cut and engrave.
Loading the file into X5 Home & Student is discover that the file contains 29059 lines.
Selecting some lines i can see that there are underlying lines.
How can i remove them without using VBA. And my drawing program has no option to save it to a file type.
Export it as a Atocad version 2000 or 14 doenst change the number of lines
Have recently upgraded to corel 11, from 9, but at the same time upgraded my computer.
When I try to plot a simple circle shape on my Roland CM24 the image cuts twice and is extremely slow (juddering).
I believe the double cut is caused by the hairline & fill but messing around have only gone from double cutting each shape individually to do double cutting the whole image.
I try to double click on a file to open in illustrator, which is already open and running in the background and I get this message. Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window. Increase document area and try again. The window was full screen, but after clicking off this error message it is tiny. I am using CS6 and have been for about a year and this has just started happening.

However, when printing I am unable to get what will be the back design to align with the front design. Does Coreldraw have a option of sort to make this happen automatically? View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working with a device that can import plt files & it converts that to a tool path in G-Code. works like a champ. but some data, most text (single line font), is converted two times. This makes the tool do the work twice and its pretty inconvenient to manually delete the doubled up G-Code Lines.
I am pretty sure the duplication is done at the Corel export level and not in the translator of the machine. I have been working with the export settings with no success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have some Ai files that I need to open in X6 but they use linked images which I have, but when opening in CorelDraw all I get is the basic Ai stuff but not the linked images, is there an easy way to open the Ai file and see it as it was intended?
As a sub note I can't go back to the supplier of the Ai file to make any changes.
With X4 I can right click a piece of text - with pick tool - and drag the selected text to an open area and the text is duplicated. With X5 this does not work - text is locked. The only way to duplicate is to copy / paste. Is there a setting that needs to be reset.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to use CorelDraw X5 the bigger the pain in the neck the issue becomes.
The tabket is a Wacom Intuos 3 an my pen is set up to have a right click for the lower side button, double click for the upper side button and single click for the nib. In all applications and Windows this works as expected but as soon as I run X5 I lose the right click and it takes several minutes to return after I have quit X5.
While using CorelDraw the only way to get a right click is to hold down the nib to bring up a pop up menu.
Is there a setting in the tablet driver (or CorelDraw?) that will stop this happening?
