After using Camera Raw Lab for .NEF files, photopaint seems to be incapable of exporting the file to a jpg file without extra fiddling.
I can export after I convert the file to RGB mode, but I want to understand why I cannot export as a jpg without doing that...?
My tool box specifically- the bar which lists commands like print or save--- is suddenly gone--- don't know how to get it back with no commands to call it up
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open PhotoPaint X5, which is part of my CroelDRAW X5 Suite, I receive an error message; "PhotoPaint has stopped working". CorelDraw X5 opens correctly without any problem.
I have un-installed and re-installed the CDX5 Suite, but the problem still persists.

I am a long time user of Corel products (well, since Corel 4). I have been running Corel 12 for several years, as financially, as a pensioner it is not viable to keep up grading and 12 has been perfectly adequate. I am on Windows 7 Home premium, and I know that 12 was not designed for that platform, however it has been operation satisfactorily since 7 came out. Today, It has crashed, and I am unable to open photopaint at all either from the shortcut or the program list.
(Corel Draw, which is the only other part of the suite I use) appears to open and be available. I tried to repair with the original disk to no avail, so that having failed I did an uninstall, cleared the caches the temporary files and did a clean install. Corel Draw is still working, but Paint will not open at all. The logo appears then totally disappears after a few seconds leaving the desktop clear. There has been no changes to the computer recently and until last night the program was working fine.
Working in photopaint . . . all goes well until I try to save or close the file. Then it stops responding. When I try to close CorelDraw, it says that I cannot close it while I have the photo open in Photopaint. However, Photopaint is no longer running. This is new problem since I installed Patch 3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting "File - Acquire Image" in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it does not see my scanner, yet when I open Corel PhotoPaint X5 the scanner is there and I can scan directly from there.
The scanner also works fine in Adobe Acrobat and other software installed on my computer. Only Corel PhotoPaint X6 is not working
PhotoPAINT doesn't cycle through the images of an animation right after creating a new one.
Here are the steps to reproduce:
Create a new image and select, say, 5 frames for the image. Add some imagery to each of the frames (and don't forget to flatten the object hierarchy as PhotoPAINT doesn't deal with graphic objects for animated images.) Open the Film tool window and hit the [Play] button. Result: The image does not get animated.
CorelDRAW Graphic Suite X6.4 @ Windows 7/Windows 8 - 64 Bit, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012
I've been using these two programs for some time with no problem. I recently upgraded some of my adobe software and now when I try to open CorelDRAW of Photopaint, there is no welcome screen anymore and I can't click on anything.
Is there something conflicting with the welcome screen (flash or something that the welcome screen uses) that perhaps was installed with one of the adobe products, maybe? Not sure if it matters but I updated adobe dreamweaver and fireworks.Both programs are unusable now with this loading problem.
I have had CorelDraw & Photopaint X4 installed for several months and just started having this problem.
CorelDraw: Every time I use the Fill Color option, whether by double-clicking the bucket icon at the bottom OR using the option in the toolbar, the program freezes and never recovers. When I use the color palette to fill a shape, I do not encounter the problem.
PhotoPaint: Every time I use the Image ->Paper Size option, the program freezes and never recovers.
I have reinstalled the program and the problem persists.
These are options I use often, and if I don't find the solution I will have to find an alternative to Corel.
I have a Student and Home version of X6, and for the life of me I cannot import an existing DXF file. Is there a way to do this or am I out of luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCorel X4, still installed on my PC, has no problem at all.But Corel X6 (CorelDRAW as well as CorelPHOTOPAINT) crashes after the preview scan with Epson Scan (EPSON Perfection V330 Photo) in professional mode. When I use the simple mode (which does all automatically: preview scan, border recognition, best guess about resolution and color mode and the final scan) there also is no problem.
But I wonder what the TWAIN driver does with Corel X6 after having finished the preview scan ..I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the (latest) driver suite from EPSON without success.
Is it possible that I can open a bitmap present in a coreldraw file in photoshop, edit it there and it gets back to its original position. that is the thing for which corel photo paint gets opened, i can set Adobe Photoshop for editing images?

I'm having trouble importing RAW (.CR2) files taken with my Canon T1i into PhotoPaint X4. I am able to do it successfully with my NikonD90, but when I import from the Canon, the image is all purple and black. I just downloaded and installed the latest Canon RAW codec.
I don't know what other info to provide.
When I import a pdf file the program tries to interpret the special characters as some control function. the script over write for a few characters after a dash.Do I need to have the originator save in a different format or do I have to select a special font to convert it to?
View 6 Replies View RelatedLast week I opened some .eps files into coreldraw 12 without any hitch. But two days later I am unable to open or import any of the eps files. I am unable to find out what is the problem. The files I opened and worked on earlier are now opening as static bmp files or they are just opening as a grey square with adobe illustrator written on it. I tried selected both (eps) and (ps, prn, eps ) from the file type while importing. Also I kept the sort type at default. But still it keeps giving me the invalid file type error.

So I attempted to download Service Pack 2 for Suite X4 but the installation fails on three attempts.
I am having an issue saving file changes. I can create a file and save it, but if I make a change and try to save it again I get an error that says that the file is open elsewhere.

But not sure how to put each slide on a separate page (automatically if Possible if not Manually)
Then I want to re-save as a more modern File that I can open or import to Powerpoint ..
I would Imagine that does not matter that they are a .ppf files as would be the same importing any multipage doc .

View 2 Replies View RelatedSeveral days ago I noticed my files sizes were enormous. I was unable to even open them to work on them. Something that was once 517KB becomes 161MB the next time I save it.
After I installed the Corel update this morning, things were back to working as usual. But tonight it's back to the huge files. I saved a simple greeting card file - no halftones, no gradients, etc. It saved at 19.7MB. A few minutes later after making some small changes - saving again it was now 118 MB.
I tried saving to a lower version of Corel and ver 15 it was the same scenario. When saving to 12, 13, & 14 the files were normal, small sizes. But after a few hours even those versions were saving at huge sizes.
I've had a friend check her computer using the same file - she has the exact same computer & on Corel X6. All of her files are nice and small like they are supposed to be.
I've run virus checks and nothing is coming up. I am on Windows 7 64 bit.
Other than recreating all of my files every time I use them - I have no way of saving usable .cdr files.
We have a vendor that is still using X3 or later. I currently have X4. Is there a way to default your save selection to save down a version?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using corel X6 64 on a Dell optiplex 9010 intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz. 8.00GB of RAM. Its taking about 1-2 minutes to copy/cut/open a file/save a file or even publish to PDF. On the same machine Same circumstances but different User i have no problem. I have to use my user because its connected to my email and at this company i cant change that. I have researched many forums and its not color styles or object styles. It does it on a new file with only one object created. I got a new computer signed on to my user account and the problem persists.

But then is the problem It Saves the file with Large Memory on it. let's say if the file normally would be 200 K, now it saves with 3 MB. And if i import some other files in my work then the saved file will be even bigger. If i Delete the files that were imported The Saved File will be Again the same SIZE ! Even if a take one part of the file, let's say if i import only one small text and put it in another file and save it like that, the saved file will be 2 MB. I had a lots of problems, i had saved files on this way with 23-24 MB and when i open them it takes like forever. When you look that file in corel it has nohing in it, absolutely nothing that should be 24 MB. But all of my important work is in that files how to make all things back to normal again,
