I am having an issue with an xref in one of my drawings. There are AEC_WALL objects in the xref file but in my drawing they show up as small triangles with an exclamation mark inside.

I’m wondering why I got exclamation mark (!) with the dimensions! I wanted to get rid of them but sounds that there is now way to achieve that. I tried to right click the exclamation mark (!) and choose the “reassociate” but with no effect!

Changing e-max value introduces an “exclamation mark”,
I wanted to select an emax of 6% but sounds that the horizontal curve is flagged by “exclamation mark” (attached). What might be the issue here?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI used the function paste to combine three surfaces in one. It could represent a highway. I noticed that when surfaces cross or pass close to each other some extra triangles show up trying to stitch together the surfaces. I can not find an option that can stop this, eg "not create extra triangles". Why these extra triangles occur? Can you limit it?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi am trying to add as a breakline. i have not been able to get this particular line to work as a breakline and the surface keeps drawing triangles through the line like its not even there. The figure properties show that it is a breakline. The figure prefix database brings the line style in as a breakline from the start.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have created a drawing of a jug from a CAD learning manual, however when I enter HIDE mode the tessellation lines show as triangles, not rectangles as shown on the image in my book.
It appears fine before HIDE (horizontal and vertical lines only) -- I've tried FACETRES but that just creates a higher amount of triangles during hide.
Is there a way to adjust how it's shown in HIDE mode?

I need 2 to look like 1 on the surface.

I downloaded photos from iPhoto via documents. Imported OK but have since deleted images from documents and now when accessing image (in Elements 11) get message of 'missing file' and small box with a question mark in it in top left hand corner. Guess I should not have deleted from documents? Is situation retrievable?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen exiting a drawing by clicking on the small X in the upper right corner of the drawing, my program routinely "stops working". I get the error message that it has stopped working and it closes. No chance to save work in other drawings open at the time. I often have three or four drawings open so my only workaround is to go through each and save, then close the one I want to close, let the system crash and reopen the other drawings. It does not crash every time but several times a day.

I saw a co-worker do a 'temp-save' on a drawing, mess around with drawing, and then come back to the spot in drawing where he had 'saved' to essetially deleting all the stuff he had done. I cannot remeber what he used to mark this and then be able to come back, but if he liked the edits he had made, he could just keep drawing.

I would like to draw a dotted line to show the pin inside the boxtubing. I click properties and I only get the choices of layer , block and continious . I have Autocad Lite 2005.

I open files from many different customers in 'vanilla' Autocad 2012, upon exiting I occasionally get an exclamation mark inside of a triangle that appears on the screen by itself after the program closes...No text associated with the close just an exclamation mark inside of a triangle with an 'OK' to dismiss....Does not appear to be file specific, does not happen after any specific input either...Is there perhaps a log I can enable and/or interrogate to see what is causing this warning?

View 3 Replies View Relatedso im drawing a 3d object in an isometric view. it is a 3d extruded object. essentially it is an extruded decagonal tube. i have, at the bottom, a line marking the center of the decagon so i can snap to it, draw a decagon for the base, and extrude it. problem is, i go to draw the decagon (or anything, for that matter), and i cant snap to the inside of the solid. autocad will only let me select the face of the object. is this a setting i can uncheck, or do i have to change the way i am drawing this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've run into a small problem while trying to export a drawing from paper space as a PDF. The drawing is of an electrical panel for a product. The panel is rather large, but the drawing includes some smaller details, such as a vendor logo on a component or a few extra lines on the border of a display screen. We have a large, multi page PDF file that uses A4 paper size that I need to insert this drawing into, so the export must be at this size. When exporting, I have CAD set to use monochrome and ignore the line weights, which solved my initial problem that the parts would show up as solid black splotches.
Now that the back story is over, here's the problem. When I export the pdf, everything looks great except these small details around the components. For some reason, the lines in the components will shift to one side or the other, causing breaks between features. Most of these breaks occur between an arc endpoint and a line endpoint. The export also excludes some smaller bits of geometry.
I found a strange behavior of AutoCAD. When I was modifying a drawing and adding dimension annotation, there suddenly come some small circles as highlighted in yellow in the screenshot.

First, there is no way I can't select them.
Second, zooming doesn’t change their size.
What these small circles are? How to get rid of them?
