I need a way for 2 users to work on a pipe network at the same time. I was thinking about creating Data Shortcuts, but I’m looking for a better way to accomplish this. For example, can I export a pipe network created by another user into a master file? (which contains all my networks consolidated together). I want to work on one part of the network while another user works on another part of the network then combine into a single file so that I reference everything into our P&P sheets.

I used to just reduce my 16-bit photos to 8-bit and then edit my composite image as 8-bit, but I ran into banding and other problems in the color gradients I created later in my composite image.
I want my composite image to be 16-bit to get more accurate colors and better gradients. What is the best way to bring 8-bit image files into my composition and maintain best quality? Is it good to convert 8-bit images to 16-bit in PS before importing? I also heard about bringing 8-bit images in as Smart Objects?
I have three video files. Each has a different frames per second. Each has a different audio format. Each has different bit rates. One has upper field first, one has lower field first.
Im assuming that I cannot simply drop the three files into the time line and produce one output file (obviously with the lowest bit rate and fps).
Do I assume correct? and if so, how does one combine files with vastly different properties to produce one output file?

I need to have two people working in the same dwg, basically at the same time. We call it an Assembly Plan. Everything is done in model space. I want to be able to have each of them basically work in the same dwg and at the end of the day, BOTH of their work is saved in one dwg, but no double lines, etc.

Let's say it doesn't react as i am used to in previous version. now i have to do the undo command or 'ctrl z' many times before i am back at the point where i want to go. I using the middle mouse button often to zoom in and out, and for panning. but now there are a lot of steps to undo if you want to go back.
I tried to switch of and on this option in the options dialog but no difference.
I'm creating a small simple mould tool where my customer wants to machine the core and cavity directly into the die set itself (no physical inserts). I've created the core and cavity and placed a die set around them. I know that you can combine inserts, but can you conbine the inserts to the die set?

Since im going to create many different retraction system and many different hood in the future, to be used in many different combinations. I want to be able to create a master project that includes smaller projects so i can still work all the projects independently.

A large combined file in our GIS format corrupted. I dug out all the old files that were originally used to create it but they are too old and will not combine in the GIS.
I exported each one to SHP, and then imported all of them into civil 3d as shp files, creating object data. This meant that I could correct the corrupted sections, which I have done, but now I need to get it back into the GIS program with the object data intact.
The problem is that the object data, coming from several combined files, is in several tables. Each table contains the same identical fields. (eg every table has a field called drawing)
I need to combine those tables so that I can re-export the shape files. I need one table with all of the object data in it.

I'm trying to combine two surfaces to make one. I saw lots of people saying create new surface and paste the two in the new surface. Is there a way to create a copy besides doing the copy base, because that keeps causing my AutoCAD to error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a command to combine two 3d polylines into a single polyline? Either combine, take the mean between the two lines, or draw a third line at the mid distance between the two original lines?
The lines are created (in a .dxf) by a GPS unit in the field, and represent tracks needing to be mapped. Typically we would drive out a track and then drive back on the same track; this gives me two 3d polylines. Because of GPS errors it better practice to log the roads/ tracks twice. The lines can have from 2000 to 10000 vertices, so manually drawing is not an option.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a model with solid bodies. I have used the combine feature to make cuts outs in some plates. The geometry is complex to model so Extrude cannot be used for cuts.
The body used for the combine can be at different angles and sizes. Due to this some of the combine features will not be needed or have no effect. This leads to the error message:
" The feature as specified did not change the number of faces (and may not have affected the part). Accept the feature that resulted, or use Edit Sketch or Edit Feature to change the feature definition." Is there anyway to suppress this feature automatically using i Logic?
