AutoCAD 2010 :: Combine Multiple Add-Ins Ribbon Tabs?
Feb 1, 2012Have installed 3 Autodesk Exchange add-ins and they each create their own ribbon tab named "Add-Ins". Is there an easy way to combine them into the same ribbon tab?

Feb 15, 2012I want to rename some ribbon tabs. For example in C3D I have an insert tab, but also a map insert tab, but they are both named "Insert". I would like to be able to rename one of them Map Insert instead of just Insert.

Mar 14, 2010My Ribbon is blank and says, "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded."
I have tried "reseting" my CUI acad.cuix file and restoring it and it won't work -- I heard that was the golden ticket to my problem; however, my ribbon still says it doesn't have tabs or panels loaded...I've tried restarting AutoCad and then reseting my main cuix file as well.

Oct 18, 2012Is there a way to export multiple layout tabs to create individual CAD files at one time? I have a CAD file with 80 layout tabs. All the Drafting work was done on Paper Space of the Layout Tabs. Client wants 80 separate CAD files.
I tried right clicking on the layout tab but it will ONLY allow me to export one tab at a time.

Aug 22, 2011I turned on my AutoCAD LT 2011 this morning at work, and I didn't have any panels or tabs on the top ribbon. After searching for a way to turn them on, I found a way to remove the ribbon completely and am unable to get it back. How can I get my ribbon with tabs and panels back on the top of the screen?

Nov 22, 2013I'm a right clicker. Contextual ribbon tabs pop up every time I touch an object. They require additional clicks and mouse movements. I don't want them. How can I stop them? I just want the default ribbon.  I was able to do this on a previous version but now I forget how. Version upgrades do not bode well for old people.

It was there yesterday until I quit ACA, where did it go?
Did Autodesk install a virus that deletes the Ribbon after a predefined number of uses? It doesn't make any difference which workspace is invoked it is not there. In Document it is just completely gone and typing ribbon at the command line brings up the "This Ribbon..." as is the case in all the other workspaces. How does this happen?

Aug 17, 2010My IRM officer had to install some sort of update to my AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 package. When I loaded AutoCad, it gave me a message where my ribbon was that "The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded." I was able to fix this with the WSCURRENT command, but when I switch to the "Task-based Geospatial" or the Tool-based Geospatial" module, I cannot get the Ribbon back.

Sep 3, 2013I've followed a few examples and am able to create a new tab on the Ribbon, with panels and buttons, that appears when my DLL is loaded. However, it doesn't persist through workspace changes. I've read that this is due to my use of AdWindows.dll and my current code, as opposed to AcCui.dll, which would modify a CUIx file (that I don't know much about) to make persistent changes.

AutoCad :: Publish Multiple Tabs To PDF
Nov 9, 2012I am trying to publish multiple tabs in to PDF. But when I do publish command, I get one PDF for each tab, I don't want that. I want all the tabs to be plotted into one PDF. I tried going into the option of publish and set it to multi-sheet dwg, but that doesn't seem to solve the issue.
BTW I am using Acad 2009.

This so we can do batch printing and not have to maunually assemble dwg file with multiple tabs from the individual dwg files generated by Inventor - as near as I can tell, there is no way to get Inventor to NOT create a separate dwg for each sheet in the IDW???

May 2, 2011It seems that the 'combine zoom and pan commands' option doesn't work correctly. Let's say it doesn't react as i am used to in previous version. now i have to do the undo command or 'ctrl z' many times before i am back at the point where i want to go. I using the middle mouse button often to zoom in and out, and for panning. but now there are a lot of steps to undo if you want to go back.
I tried to switch of and on this option in the options dialog but no difference.

Mar 21, 2013I know how to insert title block in a layout tab. i want the title block to be the same block in all the tabs i am using. if i have 10 tabs i would like each layout tab to have the same title block. i will also need properties to where i change the date on the cover sheet, all layout tabs will be changed at the same time.
this also needs to be 1 file and not a base file and xref.
i know this works because i am working in autocad where it is implemented. this was done by an individual before i started at this job.

May 9, 2012I am changing from AutoCAD 2011 to 2012. I created a custom tab in AutoCAD 2011 with custom panels that had all the buttons I use most often. Despite saving the workspace and the profile as I was told, it hasn't shown up in 2012.
How can I get my custom tab to show up in the 2012 ribbon, without recreating it from scratch?

I like having all of my information in one place as the drawings (one .dwg file) change. AutoCAD is not capable of doing so? I'm not willing to break up into separate dwg files either.

Apr 21, 2009After assembling the render output of my 3d app in photoshop (32bit) and changing the appearance via several CC layers in different layer modes (e.g. Hue/saturation in Overlay mode) I ended up with my composing for print purposes. The comp is complex, with several masked folders, single masked CC layers and many image layers (some with masks). Now the client wanted me to animate part of the image. No problem I thought. But the trap is of how to assemble the different image sequences (diffuse, specular, reflection, masks, etc, etc). I came up with a PS action which loaded the single images and arranged them in the same fashion as the master file. But now PS doesn't load the incremental images for the batch processing. Images are named in a Diffuse_00001, Specular_00001, ... fashion. Loading the first set works, but from Diffuse_00002 everything goes wrong and PS load the 00001 files (except from one file which loads in the proper incremental way). I can't transfer this stuff to AE as it is much too complex and I do no AE only very little. I guess PS should be capable to solve this batch task, but a simple action via batch seems to fail.
