AutoCAD Architecture :: Change Default Arrow Head Size For Leader
Feb 24, 2009how can I change the default arrowhead size from 3/32 to 5/32... I am able to change it from the palettes only after I insert it.
I would like to have all leaders of all styles match the same style far as arrowhead size... multi-leaders are defaulted as 5/32 and after using them forwe like them this size verses the 3/32 size of the quick leader.

Sep 13, 2012This is for CS4. I want to apply two arrowheads of different sizes to one end and the other end of a line. This is not possible with CS4 under "Add Arrowhead" where the size of the arrowhead (Scale) applies to both the Start and End arrowheads.Illustrator allows to apply several instances of an effect to an object. So I apply one instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the Start end with a given arrowhead Scale (size of arrowhead), and another instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the other End with a different Scale. The second "Add Arrowheads" instance of the effect does not behave at all as expected (it adds two "disfigured" arrowheads even though I ask for one arrowhead only).How can I use two working instances of "Add Arrowheads" to reach my goal?

The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible

Nov 25, 2011I have been working on some spec sheets and, ideally, would like the text size larger to improve readability. When creating text, changing the size is as easy as editing the text and changing the size. With a dimension, however, that method doesn't work. Is there an easy way to change a dimension's text size without having to make a change in the styles??

I have the code in VBA but I have not been able to generate equivalent Vlisp code.
The code fails at the following line saying "; error: Automation Error. Problem in loading application".
Importing the library does not make any difference (but I think it is not necessary).

Aug 22, 2011I have a series of existing dimensions from others which I want to put on a screened layer so they aren't prominent. They are dimension objects, and going into the dimension style manager, I can change the color of the dimension and extension lines and the text to "Bylayer," but I can't find a place to change the color of the arrowhead, which, in this case, is not an arrowhead but is an oblique slash.
I exploded one of these dimensions, and with "List" I found that the slash was a block called "Oblique." When I exploded this, it became a line, which was on Layer 0, and its color was set to a specific color, not on "Bylayer".
Is there a way in which I can change the attribute of this dimension style to override this specifically set color of the oblique line to reset to the color I want it to print in (in this case, "Bylayer").

They all have to be to scale so my dimensions will work properly, the only problem is, when I want to take a screenshot of the image to put into my document, the dimensions are way too **** small. I have tried everything to change them and nothing has worked. I don't know where my command line window is so I can't go directly to dimstyles.

Oct 11, 2010Whenever I try to dimension a drawing in model space the text of the dimension comes out unreadably small.
I go into dimension style manager, I click on modify and I click on the text tab but the text height and fraction height scale is greyed out!
If I click on "new" dimension style the only option I get is to base it off my current dimension style with the text size greyed out again.
How to change the text size of dimensions if at the option is greyed out?

i am wanting to change it into a 2cm X 2cm avatar that is less than 6K in size,
how do i do this? everything i try makes the output file about 24k in size.
the reason i am doing this is the forum i regularly post on has a max avatar size of 6k.

Nov 22, 2013I am able to create my own leader style, a loop, similar to the "dot blank" option that ACAD provides.
However, as with any leader style, once you pick the starting point of your leader you must extend it a certain length in order for the arrow, dot, slash, etc. to appear. This is a draw back in tight spaces where you are trying to fit the leader and the subsequent text.
Basically I would like to know if there is a setting that will allow me to pick the starting point of the leader and have the shortest length of leader line while still showing the "arrowhead".
I realize I can scale down the arrowhead type to give me more space. I realize I can explode the leader and shorten the line portion of the leader. I realize I can create a block of a "leader" that will give the appearance that I am looking for.
However, these are last ditch options if there is no solution.
