AutoCad 2D :: Dimension Arrowhead - Can't Change Color To Bylayer

I have a series of existing dimensions from others which I want to put on a screened layer so they aren't prominent. They are dimension objects, and going into the dimension style manager, I can change the color of the dimension and extension lines and the text to "Bylayer," but I can't find a place to change the color of the arrowhead, which, in this case, is not an arrowhead but is an oblique slash.
I exploded one of these dimensions, and with "List" I found that the slash was a block called "Oblique." When I exploded this, it became a line, which was on Layer 0, and its color was set to a specific color, not on "Bylayer".
Is there a way in which I can change the attribute of this dimension style to override this specifically set color of the oblique line to reset to the color I want it to print in (in this case, "Bylayer").

I am trying to flip between Bylayer and color 150. If cecolor is bylayer set cecolor to 150 and if cecolor is 150 set cecolor to bylayer. It seems so simple but it's not working.

I have created a SketchLine entity and trying to add aligned dimension by calling DimensionConstraints::AddTwoPointDistance(). It adds the dimension with inside arrowhead (see attached CurrentWorking.jpg), however, it would be nice if the dimension is added with outside arrowhead (see attached Expected.jpg).
if there is any API to toggle the dimension arrowhead accordingly.

I am looking for a lisp that has the same functions as laymrg that will allow the line to keep it's lineweight.
I have several layers in my template file that have lineweights, I want to merge these lines onto one layer but hold the color, linetype, and lineweight of the original layer.

i did the test with a qleader and everything seem to be functional but mealder have an issue where autodesk have to check this
example: i have a layer called test1 with color green i have a meleader with a Dot as an arrowhead when i go to the viewport and change the vport color to red
well everything changes expt the arrowhead which will take the layer color (green) but if i go to properties and i change the arrow head to closedfilled then it will take the vport color (wierd) i did the test with autocad 2008 to 2012 all the same problem
i did tried with a qleader and it works fine.

This is for CS4. I want to apply two arrowheads of different sizes to one end and the other end of a line. This is not possible with CS4 under "Add Arrowhead" where the size of the arrowhead (Scale) applies to both the Start and End arrowheads.Illustrator allows to apply several instances of an effect to an object. So I apply one instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the Start end with a given arrowhead Scale (size of arrowhead), and another instance of "Add Arrowheads" for the other End with a different Scale. The second "Add Arrowheads" instance of the effect does not behave at all as expected (it adds two "disfigured" arrowheads even though I ask for one arrowhead only).How can I use two working instances of "Add Arrowheads" to reach my goal?

How do I create an Inventor part with a cost that will update according to the part dimensions changing. For example, we design products using aluminum extrusions and our cost is determined by foot length. How can I create the extrusion part to have a per foot cost that will dynamically update when I change the parts length for an assembly? It seems to me to be a fundamental need for many industries.
I will happily take any links to information that will explain this process. I cannot find anything online that clearly explains the process of creating parts with costs and variables.

Is there supposed to be a drop down list for the transparency property? Once I override an objects transparency to say 50 how do I change it back to ByLayer? Do I really have to just type "ByLayer"?

I have lots of MTEXT on a single layer which has the Bylayer colour Red but all the MTEXT is showing as Yellow. When you double-click one of the MTEXT letters it opens the MTEXT editor and I can see that the text has been manually set to Yellow in the ‘Text Editor Colour Gallery’.
Is it possible to change all the text back to Bylayer?
I have already tried using the 'SETBYLAYER' command but this hasn’t worked.
I'm using AutoCAD 2012.

Me and a friend are trying to work on a LISP routine to select objects in a drawing and change their attributes to "ByLayer" and other things. I am having problems with dimension after changing the dimscale. The user wants to change the dimscale. The program prompts for the selection of a dimension entity and also for the new dimscale. The dimscale property of the dimension entity is set to the new dimscale. The problem is that the entity is not updated on the screen, even after calling the entity draw method. In VBA there was an Update method, but I can find anything like that in the .NET dimension entity.

I have recently upgraded from LT06 to LT09.Why am I having trouble changing the text height on my dimension? I used to be able to double click on a specific dimension and change the text height to anything I wanted and than using the "match properties" icon change all the others.

I am in inventor and I need to draft up some diagrams for a lab report for school. They all have to be to scale so my dimensions will work properly, the only problem is, when I want to take a screenshot of the image to put into my document, the dimensions are way too **** small. I have tried everything to change them and nothing has worked. I don't know where my command line window is so I can't go directly to dimstyles.

I have the same problem and want to scale only in one direction. Through the search I find out that the solution is block/insert and I use it.But what is my problem?, Dimension lines.
My drawing has dimension line and I want AutoCad to change the dimension value after inserting according to scale factor. How can I do this? At present after scaling in one direction, dimension value remains same as before scaling.

I have a complete gearbox drawing from a previous work and I would like to use it again but with different dimensions.
If I edit the dimensions and enter different values its not enough because when I hit the inquiry tab and dimension, obviously it will be the old measure value.
My question would be how to change the whole drawing to a new dimension values? I think there is no need to redone the whole gearbox again with new dimensions. My drawing is in metric (millimeters).

Whenever I try to dimension a drawing in model space the text of the dimension comes out unreadably small.
I go into dimension style manager, I click on modify and I click on the text tab but the text height and fraction height scale is greyed out!
If I click on "new" dimension style the only option I get is to base it off my current dimension style with the text size greyed out again.
How to change the text size of dimensions if at the option is greyed out?

I'm having an issue with dimensions changing from when I save the drawing to when I reopen it.
I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2009, exclusively in 2D. I save drawings in AutoCAD 2000/LT 2000 Drawing format to maintain backwards compatibility with our legacy documents which are still in regular use.
The exact process is:
1. Create dimension in existing drawing.
2. Set units of dimension. Typically this is fractional.
3. Save and close drawing.
4. Reopen drawing, and all of the dimensions units are set to decimal to the fourth decimal point.
If I interact with the dimension in any way, it will return to its set unit. For example, if I double click on it to bring up the Power Dimensioning window and just click Okay without altering anything, it will change back to its set unit. Likewise, if I move the dimension itself it will return to its set unit as well.
So far my solution has been to simply select the entire drawing at once, then move it X units one way, then X units back. The move back and forth will return all the dimensions to their set units.
Obviously this is not ideal, especially when sending drawings to co-workers who are unaware of the issue or even using different versions of AutoCAD.
