View 2 RepliesI would like to set dimension text fill color to "background" instead of, you know, dimensioning my drawings properly.
I have this code I got on these forums and it works well except for the 'TextFillColor' variable. I can't find the correct color number or syntax for "Background'. It's currently set to 0 which produces ByBlock, and any number I put in there corresponds to the AutoCAD color number (1 = Red, 2 = Yellow, etc.)
If you have a better routine that you could post that works for me too. Or maybe you could just do my work for me? Even better.
(defun c:test (/ obj num cnt)
(vl-load-com)
(setq ss1 (ssget '((0 . "Dimension")))
num (sslength ss1)
cnt 0)

I have the fill color turned on in my dimension style to background. I want to adjust the "masking" box size. Just as you are able to in the text edit-background mask. I believe the default must be 1.25 larger than the text. I would like it to be 1.00. Is this possible? You can adjust the text background mask size, but not the dimension mask size.
View 8 Replies View RelatedUsing Autocad 2014. I recently changed our dimension style fill color to background. Now when we create pdf files, there are random lines either to left of the text or left and top of text. It is not every dimension. We had it set to none before and would trim lines around dimension text. We did not have problems with pdf until changing the fill color. It plots from autocad to plotter without a problem.

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!
How do I get it so that when I draw a shape it will fill with color? In my options bar there is a rectangle with color where I can choose that, but sometimes that's not up. How do I pull it up?
How do I fill a canvas with color without having to cover it with a large rectangle to fill? I've gotten answers to this but none has solved the problem.
In Corel PhotoPaint X5, changing the fill color was possible by e.g. double clicking the (left-most) color square, then hitting Edit. Already, I found this was a bit too many clicks. Now in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it's gotten worse -- after hitting Edit, I'm not in the left-most tab "Models", but in the right tab "Palettes"!
My question: Is there any way I can open the Uniform Fill dialog with one click? (The Color Docker doesn't have a big color preview field so it doesn't work well for me when selecting and changing a color.) And is there any chance Corel will fix the bug with the wrong tab being opened?
I traced an image earlier, expanded it then wanted to change the line colour. For some reason I couldn't get this to work even though I've done it in the past. So, I used the magic wand to select the line then dragged it into my new document and changed the line colour.
Now, I want to change the fill on certain sections, however when I change the stroke it changes the colour of the line and when I change the fill it changes the color of the line.
Remove the text and the white background and fill it with its respective background ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf you can background mask dimension text the same way you can with mtext. I know i can explode the dimension and edit the text and give it a background, but that is poor practice. I still want to keep the dimension associated.

View 2 Replies View Relatedknow of a way to automatically alternate a background fill color for every other row on a table (gray, white, gray, white, etc.)? I can set up the fill color manually for each row, but if I delete or add a row, I have to manually redo the alternating fill color.

I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSet the Trace Bitmap so that the outline color defaults to the same as the fill color on the resulting curves? Currently, resulting curves have to be edited one color at a time to give them hairline outlines with the same color as the fill. It's mighty tedious for complex vector art.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a question regarding illustrator. Let's say I have a circle with blue fill and red stroke. And I place an image in the illustrator file. Now I want to change the red stroke of my circle to let's say a purple color by sampling the color from the image.
How can I achieve that with a eye dropper tool? Every time when I try to sample a color from the image, the whole circle will change to purple instead of just the stroke? I have tried multiple key combination, shift, alt, ctrl but they all don't work.
I took a photo of the sunrise. The sun was very "red" from forest fire smoke. But when I looked at the photo later the sun had lost its "red" (due to the brightness of the sun). restore the sun color as I saw it?
Below is the photo I want changed and the next photo (not mine) is approx. the color I saw the sun as (perhaps a little redder). I want "my" sun filled with that color.
Any LISP routine that I can run that will make alternating rows of color in a table?
I can setup a table with the TABLE command and setup the rows to alternate gray and white, but if I add or delete a row, the alternating background fill pattern gets messed up (see attached example). Manually redoing the pattern isn't bad for a few rows, but for 30 or more it's a real pain.
If I could run a command that would activate a routine that would start with gray at the top and then alternate white and gray for every row for the rest of the table, that would be awesome.
i'm making a new color fill layer and want to fill it with the same color like an other (already existing) color fill... how can i simply pick the color from that existing layer? or how can i set the foreground color to the collor of an existing color fill?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a file with two squares with red and blue fill colors respectively and transparent surrounding strokes. I'm trying to find a way to automatically set the stroke color of each square to the respective fill color. Is there an Illustrator script somewhere that would achieve that? I am not aware of an internal Illustrator command for this purpose.

I have placed a rectangle in my template and want to know if there's anyway to fill this rectangle with a color?
I can use another object if that's better - mainly wanting to be able to fill a pre-determined space with a back color.
I have a series of existing dimensions from others which I want to put on a screened layer so they aren't prominent. They are dimension objects, and going into the dimension style manager, I can change the color of the dimension and extension lines and the text to "Bylayer," but I can't find a place to change the color of the arrowhead, which, in this case, is not an arrowhead but is an oblique slash.
I exploded one of these dimensions, and with "List" I found that the slash was a block called "Oblique." When I exploded this, it became a line, which was on Layer 0, and its color was set to a specific color, not on "Bylayer".
Is there a way in which I can change the attribute of this dimension style to override this specifically set color of the oblique line to reset to the color I want it to print in (in this case, "Bylayer").
I am trying to take a big block font and fill it with a background pattern image and am having NO luck.

Is there a way that the background fill of a pattern can fill the whole pattern so that there aren't gaps like the above picture? So that it woudn't matter if you expanded the border there would always be a solid fill background?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs a consultant we grey out architectural backgrounds for our sheets. We use the SetByLayer command to change the color of the objects in our sheets to gery out. The issue is with dimsensions. Dimension Line Color, Extension Line Color, and Text Color are all set at By Block as default and no one ever bothers to change it unless they are setting it to a specific color which is even more of a problem for us. You can edit the properties of an existing dimension and set Dim Line Color, Ext Line Color, and Text Color to by layer, I am looking for a way to automate this. Something that can search through a drawing, grab all the dimensions (even in blocks) and set everything by layer.
