AutoCAD 2013 :: Automatic Alternating Background Fill For Table?

know of a way to automatically alternate a background fill color for every other row on a table (gray, white, gray, white, etc.)? I can set up the fill color manually for each row, but if I delete or add a row, I have to manually redo the alternating fill color.
System specifications: AutoCAD 2014 64-bit SP1, Windows 7 64-bit SP1, Intel Core i7-2600K, AMD FirePro V4900
16GB RAM, Crucial M4 SSD, 3 Dell Monitors (2 30" 2560x1600 & 1 20" 1200x1600)

Any LISP routine that I can run that will make alternating rows of color in a table?
I can setup a table with the TABLE command and setup the rows to alternate gray and white, but if I add or delete a row, the alternating background fill pattern gets messed up (see attached example). Manually redoing the pattern isn't bad for a few rows, but for 30 or more it's a real pain.
If I could run a command that would activate a routine that would start with gray at the top and then alternate white and gray for every row for the rest of the table, that would be awesome.

I'm able to print pasted excel table with default colors ( ie: cell with text and fill with color background in autocad. By using Autocad 2013, with I can see the default colors when preview, but once I printed out to hard copy or PDF format, its only printed text but without any color background, I have try to print the pdf file by using DWG To PDF.pc3, Adobe PDF & CutePDF Writer, HP Design Jet T1120 plotter, all have the same result.

I used a heart fill pattern of the right 75% of the picture and the left 75% of the picture is selected overlapping the first fill in the background... I want to fill the selected background area with a flame fill pattern where it overlaps the selected portion of the heart pattern as well as the transparent area... 'overlay' looks better but Gimp is FAILING to fill the transparent areas, it ONLY fills the overlapped heart pattern portion of the selected content!!! I even tried filling the transparent area with 'white' then filling the selected area, but it STILL ONLY wants to overlay fill the heart pattern, it STILL leaves the rest alone!!! it doesn't matter if the background is white or transparent, it leaves that alone and ONLY fills the heart pattern area of selected portion of the image!!!

I would like to know whether Corel Draw can fill a shape with another shape or object/icon so that it gets scaled to the shape size. As in this picture: [URL] ...
As you see the shape is a text/font and it's filled with diamonds (it's not simply following a path). If it's not handmade I assume the automatism works like that: there is only 1 diamond = the object, and the object gets duplicated through the entire shape and resized so it fits.
It appears Adobe Illustrator cannot do this automatically, see: [URL] ... (there's another example in the first post), can Corel Draw? I don't have Corel Draw. I am just looking for a program capable of doing it automatically.

Let's say I have a rectangle and I want to fill a table inside of it.
The below is the code snippet I wrote.....

The red line is the specified rectangle. It seems like SetRowHeight and SetColumnWidth are not working.
FYI, the rectangle size is around width = 3.5m height = 5m.

How to make a multileader style with automatic background masks? How to select all the multileaders in a drawing (via a script or macro) and turn on the background masks?

I'm trying to attach a daylight subassembly that follows my DOT chart below. Is there one that does all of this or do I need to use a condtionalcutorfill and "something else" to do it? If the case, what subassembly would I use for the "something else"? If it's cut, the table below also determines the backslope... forming a ditch. How is the clear zone factored in? I need it to go the the flowline of the ditch when it's in cut. I have a design speed of 40mph, ADT of 7000+.

I am having problems with the automatic field updates. I've made a dynamic block with a length parameter "LENGTE (mm)" and a stretch action. In this block I also made a Attribute "LENGTE" the value of this attribute is linked to the length of the parameter with a field. The system variable "FIELDEVAL" is 31, so when I save or plot, or ..., the value of the attribute will be updated to the exact length of the parameter.
Now when I insert the block and stretch the parameter to a desired length and I save the drawing the attribute is updated and it has the same value as the parameter. But when I close the drawing and I open it again AutoCAD changes this value to ###. I tried the command "UPDATEFIELD" but the value doesn't come back. I have made a command string "c^c^_fieldeval;0;0;save;close" so that when i close the drawing AutoCAD sets the system variable FIELDEVAL to 0 then saves it and closes the drawing, so when I open the drawing again AutoCAD doesn't update the fields. That solved the problem. When I open the drawing again, I made a command to put the fieldeval back to the default value "31", so when I change the length parameter the attribute "LENGTE" will be updated again after a save or a plot. But then it goes wrong and AutoCAD changes the value back in ###. What is the reason that AutoCAD can't update that field, it works fine when the drawing stays open but when the drawing has been closed and I open it again it doesn't work anymore?

I'm currently creating blocks for our office library. One of these is a grille with some apposed blade dampers on it. I'm trying to set up an array that will duplicate the apposed blades as I change the length of the grille. However, it will only copy the blades in pairs, not singlely one after the other. Ie, the blades are 100mm apart, and in a / pattern meaning that each instance of / or 'should' duplicate every 200mm. Except when I lengthen the block by 200mm it won't duplicate untill I've gone double the distance (400) when it gives me both / and .

What I'm trying to do is to use set cell background color to change the color based on whether or not there is text in the particular cell.
I want LtCol to be 161 and HvyCol to be 211, and I'm not sure how to set this up...all it does at the moment is change the color to black.

I have created subroutines to build tables in AutoCAD.
What I would like to do is to is if a value in the table list (example a question mark), then make the background color of that cell color 1 (red).
List to insert as a table -

I would like to set dimension text fill color to "background" instead of, you know, dimensioning my drawings properly.
I have this code I got on these forums and it works well except for the 'TextFillColor' variable. I can't find the correct color number or syntax for "Background'. It's currently set to 0 which produces ByBlock, and any number I put in there corresponds to the AutoCAD color number (1 = Red, 2 = Yellow, etc.)
If you have a better routine that you could post that works for me too. Or maybe you could just do my work for me? Even better.

I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.

How to reuse table styles? I have tried design center but when I bring in the table style it changes the sizes. I have also tried to create a block, but when I explode it to modify the table cells it will change the sizes still.

I am trying to plot a drawing with 80% transparency on the xref layers, and use a pen table to assign line thinkness (printing in black and white). But, when I go to print, AutoCAD completely ignores both of these and prints the drawing all lines at the same intensity and thickness.

we have tables as a standard in the office, each table is of the same table style on the same layer.all properties for all table borders are set to Bylayer (G-ANNO-TEXT color70).
the issue is- in AutoCAD 2014 open a template dwg with the Layer G-ANNO-TEXT in the template place the table on the current layer it does not adopt the properties of any other layer until you go into tablestyles and modify the settings for all borders

I am seeking to simplify some of our drawings and want to make some forms or tables that has a click check or radio button. Is this possible in any way using Autocad and/or using the Visual Basic and Visual LISP add ons?
If it is possible what I seek is something similar to what is shown in the attached picture. Ideally I would be able to group the boxes together and set up something so it will only allow one of them to be checked, same thing for Mixed Occupancy, Construction Types, etc. If that is not possible via any means at a minimum I would like to be able to just click on the box to check or uncheck it.
If there is some way to make it as a block with attributes I can handle that as well.
