Row height of the table, I’m wondering why the dialog box of the table creation doesn’t accept the height of the row as it does regarding the width of the column.
Then how to specify the width of the row?

The cells of the table don’t respond to the chosen height/length
1.I’m wondering why the cells of the table don’t respond as a particular value is typed for them.
2.Also, If all cells are selected to be given a particular height/width then they don’t respond as well.
3.Originally, the inserted table doesn’t respect the value of width assigned for it!

Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.

When you make a custom table in VB.net, adding in the Row Height property in the custom table create line only changes the data cell row heights, not the title cells or the header cell. How do yo do set the title/header cell row heights ?

The text height in my model space is 1', then I open the model space and try to text in a new viewport, the text height changes to 48'.
I try to go back to model space to do the texting, but the text height is still 48'.

I created a wall via RECTANGLE/PRESSPULL to a desired height. But I need to be able to increase the height of one corner of the wall. Not quite sure how to do this.
On the attached picture, corner A needs to remain where it is, while corner B needs to be 3' higher.

In Autocad 2014 I can't seem to get the same properties when I choose a dimension as I have been with all previous vertions. It does not have any of the option such as text height, Tolerance, Precision etc. Is this new for 14?

I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.

How to reuse table styles? I have tried design center but when I bring in the table style it changes the sizes. I have also tried to create a block, but when I explode it to modify the table cells it will change the sizes still.

I am trying to plot a drawing with 80% transparency on the xref layers, and use a pen table to assign line thinkness (printing in black and white). But, when I go to print, AutoCAD completely ignores both of these and prints the drawing all lines at the same intensity and thickness.

I am using data extraction and data linking to an excel file to count blocks and list details. I need to be able to update automatically and the most trouble I have been having is that I need the images of the blocks to come out in the table as well. so far only have been able to get the text data to come out in the table.

we have tables as a standard in the office, each table is of the same table style on the same layer.all properties for all table borders are set to Bylayer (G-ANNO-TEXT color70).
the issue is- in AutoCAD 2014 open a template dwg with the Layer G-ANNO-TEXT in the template place the table on the current layer it does not adopt the properties of any other layer until you go into tablestyles and modify the settings for all borders

I am seeking to simplify some of our drawings and want to make some forms or tables that has a click check or radio button. Is this possible in any way using Autocad and/or using the Visual Basic and Visual LISP add ons?
If it is possible what I seek is something similar to what is shown in the attached picture. Ideally I would be able to group the boxes together and set up something so it will only allow one of them to be checked, same thing for Mixed Occupancy, Construction Types, etc. If that is not possible via any means at a minimum I would like to be able to just click on the box to check or uncheck it.
If there is some way to make it as a block with attributes I can handle that as well.

Is there a trick in using a dynamic block in a table cell? When a dynamic block is inserted into a cell, any visibility can be viewed (Properties Manager) in that cell if the visibility state has a block in it. What happens if the visibility state does not have a block. That is, if the view has exploded block so one can use parts in actions etc? Can I view ANY state in a cell regardless if it has a block or not? Or must the visibility states have blocks to be able to use it in the table cell?

I'm trying to make a BOM using a Table. I want to be able to export. I cannot seem to keep the formatting in the length column. I would like it to read feet & inches (example 5'-4 1/2"). These lengths will change often during the design process. The problem I'm having is when I clear the cell contents or delete the information the formatting does not stick. I've tried locking the cell format but that doesn't seem to work. I've attached a file with the table.

Is there any command in autocad to LINK TEXT TO SCHEDULE TABLE. I have door & windows in my plan I have given attribute numbers to them as per sizes like for
800mm -w1
900mm-w2
1200mm-w3 etc...
I have made window opening schedule table , when ever i add or delete one window form schedule i have to change the order. like if i delete 900mm window schedule will be.
800mm- w1
1200mm- w2 etc....
so I am looking for a command when ever i change my schedule table my attribute numbers should also change.

how to apply a filter to a Floor Plan to color code my Walls by Unconnected Height for coordination purposes?
I want to disseminate which walls are currently modeled to deck and which ones stop short so I can selectively coordinate this.
This seems completely logical, but I don't see the option to allow this.
Why does Revit allow me to schedule the Length of a Wall, but not it's Height - am I missing something?

I have an Excel file linked to a Table which has 3,400 lines. When the Table is unbroken a File Save takes 30 seconds. When the Table is broken it takes 30 Minutes to save. Makes the breaking feature for large table unusable.

know of a way to automatically alternate a background fill color for every other row on a table (gray, white, gray, white, etc.)? I can set up the fill color manually for each row, but if I delete or add a row, I have to manually redo the alternating fill color.

Any way to automatically substitute a default plot style table when it is set to ‘None’ in existing drawings?

I applied a default plot style table in the ‘Options > Plot and Publish > Plot Style Table Settings’ dialog box, but it doesn’t seem to take effect for existing drawings or when I create new drawings.

“insert sheet list table” is not active,
I couldn’t figure out in which cases the “insert sheet list table” (attached) gets not active.
This command is supposed to provide table of contents for the layouts specified in the set of sheets pane

How to flip the direction of dimension constrains in “block table”,
In the screenshot below, the default direction of dimensions constrains are given in the direction of digitizing (by design)
How this direction might be flipped?
For example, in the ArcGIS software, one can see the direction of digitizing as well as flipping it

I want to edit some values in the data table of a shape file (*.shp) with AutoCAD Map 3d 2013. Every time I alter a value in data table it takes about 30 seconds until AutoCAD Map saves (?) the value. I have to wait 30 second until I can continue working. Why is this so slow?
The shape file has 7000 lines and is stored on a local drive.

I'm able to print pasted excel table with default colors ( ie: cell with text and fill with color background in autocad. By using Autocad 2013, with I can see the default colors when preview, but once I printed out to hard copy or PDF format, its only printed text but without any color background, I have try to print the pdf file by using DWG To PDF.pc3, Adobe PDF & CutePDF Writer, HP Design Jet T1120 plotter, all have the same result.

We do a lot of very large site plans with mulitple options and have to compare cost differences for Concrete, Asphalt, & Base Course. We hatch the areas and print in color so it is easy to see what is concrete, asphalt, grass, water, & Base course. Is there a way to create a table that would update the total areas that we have hatched? We make a lot of changes to these plans and it takes a long time to keep adding up the areas that are hatched everytime and typing the informaiton into a table. I have the table setup so once we type in the sq. ft. of area it calculates the totals but was hoping there was away so it would automatically update the ares in the table for us when we make changes.

I'm wanting to know if there is a way to Copy a selected area from Excel and Paste into Autocad and have it as lines and text objects?
Before everyone is entering the information in RED multiple times, once in excel and again in our cad file.
I don't want a data link because we are sending, only, cad files to our customers.
