How do I get it so that when I draw a shape it will fill with color? In my options bar there is a rectangle with color where I can choose that, but sometimes that's not up. How do I pull it up?
How do I fill a canvas with color without having to cover it with a large rectangle to fill? I've gotten answers to this but none has solved the problem.
I just added a fill/texture to an image and now when I create more objects, the fill is still there. How can I re-set the fill gallery back to no-fill?
I just want a one point thick border rectangle with nothing filled. I tried using the rectangle marquee and stroke. Doesn't work. I tried the rectangle tool and rasterized, it disappeared.
I need to create a text with a rectangle background and a coloured border around this rectangle. Here is what I do:
- I create a text - I select the text and add a fill and a stroke that I then transform into a rectangle - I now have my "label" as I want it to be but now I need to rotate it.
Problem is I can rotate the text but fill and stroke don't follow, they remain horizontal and just adapt so that it still fits the text. As a result I have a rotated font with a big rectangle box. Can I rotate fill+stroke with the text?
I`m still using Xara X1... and am having two issues with the rectangular tool.
First, the rectangle draws on an angle, almost more like a diamond. I would like it to draw parallel to a horizon.
Second, the rectangle draw includes a linear fill. I would like to lose that parameter so that the rectangle can be a simple solid color that I can choose for myself.
These gradients in gimp are really hard to figure out (not saying other things seem easy to me), however I'm sure if one knows what to do, they can solve many problems.
I had that screenshot of a text list:
And I wanted to make it fade away from the highlighted line:
However, with the blend tool, this is actually impossible or really really hard, because I can't aim it so preciselly.
In Corel PhotoPaint X5, changing the fill color was possible by e.g. double clicking the (left-most) color square, then hitting Edit. Already, I found this was a bit too many clicks. Now in Corel PhotoPaint X6 it's gotten worse -- after hitting Edit, I'm not in the left-most tab "Models", but in the right tab "Palettes"!
My question: Is there any way I can open the Uniform Fill dialog with one click? (The Color Docker doesn't have a big color preview field so it doesn't work well for me when selecting and changing a color.) And is there any chance Corel will fix the bug with the wrong tab being opened?
I traced an image earlier, expanded it then wanted to change the line colour. For some reason I couldn't get this to work even though I've done it in the past. So, I used the magic wand to select the line then dragged it into my new document and changed the line colour.
Now, I want to change the fill on certain sections, however when I change the stroke it changes the colour of the line and when I change the fill it changes the color of the line.
I don't know if it is the update or not but every time I fill a rectangle with noise and create a bitmap copy and try to erase the white with Medhi eraser classic XP&GD and XDPX now stops working. I have tried this over and over with the same result, or should I say lack of a result? All I am trying to do is make a star field. This is the same basic method I used before to create animated snow..
i'm basically making a shape with the pen tool, then i click the paint bucket, then the shape disappears. i've also done this with the rectangle tool and the exact same thing happens.
usually, it will work when i frst open the document, but after i start making new layers/text then i try to do this, the shape i make disappears.
how i can keep the shape so i can select the paint bucket tool?
I am trying to flip between Bylayer and color 150. If cecolor is bylayer set cecolor to 150 and if cecolor is 150 set cecolor to bylayer. It seems so simple but it's not working.
(defun c:22 () (setq cc (getvar "cecolor")) (cond ((= cc "Bylayer") (setvar "cecolor" "150") ) ((/= cc "Bylayer") (setvar "cecolor" "Bylayer") ) ))
In the Library and Develop modules, when I click on an image to magnify it to 1:1, the image expands to 1:1 and then immediately returns back to fit/fill (depending on what the setting was before). Clicking on 1:1 magnification in the Navigator works fine as well as using the CMD + shortcut; the image expands to 1:1 and stays at 1:1 magnification. I am running LR 4.1 on Mountain Lion on a MBP. I tested in other programs and had no problems.
I still use Corel Draw 12 and my question is is there an easy or automatic way to make the outline color of an object the same color as the fill color? I do it the hard way of trial and error until I get the right outline color from the color dock/pallette.
Set the Trace Bitmap so that the outline color defaults to the same as the fill color on the resulting curves? Currently, resulting curves have to be edited one color at a time to give them hairline outlines with the same color as the fill. It's mighty tedious for complex vector art.
I have a question regarding illustrator. Let's say I have a circle with blue fill and red stroke. And I place an image in the illustrator file. Now I want to change the red stroke of my circle to let's say a purple color by sampling the color from the image.
How can I achieve that with a eye dropper tool? Every time when I try to sample a color from the image, the whole circle will change to purple instead of just the stroke? I have tried multiple key combination, shift, alt, ctrl but they all don't work.
I took a photo of the sunrise. The sun was very "red" from forest fire smoke. But when I looked at the photo later the sun had lost its "red" (due to the brightness of the sun). restore the sun color as I saw it?
Below is the photo I want changed and the next photo (not mine) is approx. the color I saw the sun as (perhaps a little redder). I want "my" sun filled with that color.
i'm making a new color fill layer and want to fill it with the same color like an other (already existing) color fill... how can i simply pick the color from that existing layer? or how can i set the foreground color to the collor of an existing color fill?
I have a file with two squares with red and blue fill colors respectively and transparent surrounding strokes. I'm trying to find a way to automatically set the stroke color of each square to the respective fill color. Is there an Illustrator script somewhere that would achieve that? I am not aware of an internal Illustrator command for this purpose.
Is there a way to revert back to the original colors of an xref besides having to reattach the xref and purging the DWG.
I always change the colors of the projects Existing site/utilty XREF to color 252 to shade it back to have the proposed show up darker. But I try to select all layers to change the colors back to what they were before and the box to set color by layer is not available.
Every time I create a new layer, name it, asign a color, linetype, etc...it defaults back to the original color, making me set it twice. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
In Inventor 2013 the work and origin plane back color is missing or transparent on one of my workstations. The borders are present. Planes funtion normally.
I have tried different color schemes and have have edited the registry <workplanebackcolor> value , to no avail.
I have a drawing (.dwg) file. It is having so many polygons created by polyline. I want to fill up those polygons by a color. How can I do the same in AutoCAD?
