Our company plotted some PDFs using Publish, DWG to PDF and all the text came out fine but when our customer views the text in Bluebeam some of it is replaced by little white squares. It also prints out on their end with the little squares.

I have have small gray shaded boxes showing up on drawings plotted in Civil 3D, they are never anywhere I can see in the drawing and they never show up in the print preview. I have tried using multiple printers and still get the same thing. I think it may have something to do with viewports as they only show up inside a viewport window when plotting from paperspace and don't show up when I plot from modelspace.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using ACAD LT 2010. I use the basic Arial font for all text and the mtext command to insert text. On occasion I use some of the standard symbols such as the degree symbol (%%d) and +/- symbol (%%p) among others. When I plot to the printer everything prints fine, but when I plot to PDF using the standard DWG to PDF plotter setup that comes with LT2010 the symbols and usually the entire line that the symbol is on either doesn't plot or it plots a series of boxes for each character in that line. I experimented with a couple of other different fonts and the same symbols. Some plotted to PDF correctly others did as stated above.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am animating an assembly of about 200 parts, rotating them all at the same time from 0deg to 30deg. As soon as I, attempt to, scrub the timeline to watch the movement, ALL PARTS turn into wireframe boxes, completely preventing me from seeing the movement of the parts. Also, when I move one part (vertical or horizontal), the other parts turn into wireframe squares, preventing me from seeing the final destination point.

Same drawing (attached) with identical settings printed on one PC using DWG to PDF - creates this:

So, some angle and aligned length dimensions are mirrored.
PDF previewed with Adobe Reader and Foxit PDF reader.
File is created and printed in 2010 LT, hence no UCS rotation, text style and print settings unaltered.
I am getting these white lines around my aerials that are turning black when i print them to PDF. I need my graphics guy to turn it into an exibit but these lines are getting in the way.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhile drafting floor plans; lines, fillet, Radius, Snap lines, there are small white boxes showing there is an angle or radius. They are getting in the way of drafting, slowing down my program and genuinely annoying. Do you know how to prevent them from appearing? Also, and I believe related, there are blue boxes appearing on all my right angles for reasons beyond me. How can I also prevent these from appearing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been merrily taking screen shots for a recent work project, pasting them into Photoshop, adding a touch of sharpening via Highpass filter, and printing them to PDF. suddenly, with the most recent print, I am greeted for the first time with the message "Some PostScript specific print settings (Interpolation, Calibration, Encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non-PostScript printer." I also noticed all of my other prints to pdf were 72 dpi, suddenly this one is 121 PPI. The PDF is black and white, although the original document is full color, and it has the moire pattern of a scan taken at the wrong resolution, a pattern of little squares all over.
Every PDF I save from Photoshop is like this now, filters or no.
What the heck happened? How can I get my pdfs back?
I am getting these white "ghost" boxes with every copy, move or mirror command. They can be individually deleted but that takes too long. The more there are the slower each command takes, to the point a copy can take over a minute. If I save and close then when I reopen they are gone -- until I execute a command. This is unique to a single file I recieved from a friend using a PC based Autocad; I use Autocad for Mac. I had no trouble with his file until I did a "Save As" and used it as a base for a new file. Now, every file that is a copy of it, even any file in which I x-ref it, has the same problem. All of my original, older files are fine. There is simply too much work in these (now) five files to start over. See attached.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem with white boxes appearing in my drawing only when I go to print. I searched this problem before and found a solution but of course can't remember what it was and can't seem to find the solution again. Wished I'd saved the url. From what I remember, it was something to do with bitmap effects. For me the boxes are appearing where I have guassian blurs for others it's drop shadows. I know I can convert the whole drawing to bitmap but that changes the look of my graphic slightly and don't want to do that.

I can reboot Max and they will shift the next time I render. The models are fairly simple polys with a PS Layered .

I have been trying desperately to change a feather boa from white to black in Photoshop, but it does not look realistic no matter what I do! Tried everything - selecting using the pen tool, refining edges, layers, hue/saturation etc etc. There must be a way to make them black and look realistic? This is the pic I am working with.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI've seen tons of photos in black and white that look spectacular. I have a feeling a lot are taken with black and white film, but some must be turned b/w! My question then is how do you achieve this awesome b/w in photoshop? For a while I just turned it grayscale (i know, i know.) Then I just desaturated. And recently someone told me to make a hue/sat adjustment layer and play with each of the different shades. After playing with all these ways I haven't been able to get the effects I want. I tried browsing around looking for a picture that embodies what I want just in case...And I finally decided to just give you a site, I love this photographer and the ways she uses b/w and other tons!

how i would remove a background from a picture, and turning it white, leaving only the person in the foreground unchanged. I can think of some pretty simple ways, but im looking for a way that makes a seamless transition from the orginal person in the picture to the white background without any jagged lines.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an A3 sized times 3 artboard file that I want to save out at 300ppi so that I can print it at A1 without losing much quality. I do this every couple of months this will be the 4th time or so. Each time I run into this same problem and kind of just fudge my way around, but I'm not having as much luck this time and can't move forward to printing.
each sheet is a series of 20 coupons or so like seen above but when i export to jpg some of the coupons come out like this:
the white layers (there are two) both go transparent and the background paper image leaks through. as you can see in the after shot, in the upper right, some white is preserved (the shadow in a link file, but the white under 408 is an illustrator shape)
I've tried changing the white to 1%k or 1%c 1%m 1%y 1%k and things. usually fiddling with it like this in serveral random ways gets it to work eventually.
I want to convert a single text box to two separate text boxes (not multiline text). Let's say after the fifth character.
For example:
"Hello World"
And I want to change it into:
"Hello" "World"
And I will move them separately like:
"Hello" _______ "World"
or
"Hello"
_______ "World"
On Mavericks. I'm getting white blank dialog boxes in Photoshop CC. Doesn't happen right away. It lets me work for a limited time then I get the blank boxes and can only Force Quit. I don't use Suitcase but I do have a Wacom. iMac.

When attempting to add simple text on an individual layer, the layer is turning black. This prevents me from seeing the text I'm editing. When I move to another layer the text displays correctly. When I go to edit the text by clicking the image the layer goes black again. It is like editing text in the dark, turning the light on to see the changes, turning the light off to make the changes, repeat.
