AutoCad 2D :: Get Rid Of Little White Pop Up Boxes?
Dec 11, 2011I x them out and they just keep coming back. i don't even know what they are called so i can't figure out how to turn them off.

AutoCAD 2013 :: White Boxes Around Aerials?
Sep 19, 2013I am getting these white lines around my aerials that are turning black when i print them to PDF. I need my graphics guy to turn it into an exibit but these lines are getting in the way.

Apr 23, 2013Our company plotted some PDFs using Publish, DWG to PDF and all the text came out fine but when our customer views the text in Bluebeam some of it is replaced by little white squares. It also prints out on their end with the little squares.

AutoCad :: Drafting Floor Plans - White Angle Boxes Appearing
Jun 27, 2013While drafting floor plans; lines, fillet, Radius, Snap lines, there are small white boxes showing there is an angle or radius. They are getting in the way of drafting, slowing down my program and genuinely annoying. Do you know how to prevent them from appearing? Also, and I believe related, there are blue boxes appearing on all my right angles for reasons beyond me. How can I also prevent these from appearing?

Jun 8, 2013I am getting these white "ghost" boxes with every copy, move or mirror command. They can be individually deleted but that takes too long. The more there are the slower each command takes, to the point a copy can take over a minute. If I save and close then when I reopen they are gone -- until I execute a command. This is unique to a single file I recieved from a friend using a PC based Autocad; I use Autocad for Mac. I had no trouble with his file until I did a "Save As" and used it as a base for a new file. Now, every file that is a copy of it, even any file in which I x-ref it, has the same problem. All of my original, older files are fine. There is simply too much work in these (now) five files to start over. See attached.

Jun 17, 2013I have been having a problem with white boxes appearing in my drawing only when I go to print. I searched this problem before and found a solution but of course can't remember what it was and can't seem to find the solution again. Wished I'd saved the url. From what I remember, it was something to do with bitmap effects. For me the boxes are appearing where I have guassian blurs for others it's drop shadows. I know I can convert the whole drawing to bitmap but that changes the look of my graphic slightly and don't want to do that.

May 2, 2011I am having an issue with some product renderings I am doing. 3DS Max seems to be placing random (sometimes not random) white boxes in my renderings like missing info. I can reboot Max and they will shift the next time I render. The models are fairly simple polys with a PS Layered .

Nov 16, 2013On Mavericks. I'm getting white blank dialog boxes in Photoshop CC. Doesn't happen right away. It lets me work for a limited time then I get the blank boxes and can only Force Quit. I don't use Suitcase but I do have a Wacom. iMac.

Here's the situation. I have a block that will be inserted showing a piece of angle iron that is used for a stiffener. We have various sizes that will need to be used. Instead of typing in the angle size each time it's inserted can I have a list of all the angle sizes and then a pick box or radial dial or something to be selected and that is what is put in the block?

Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
AutoCAD 2013 :: White Crosshair / Pickbox On White Background?
Sep 28, 2012I am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

Oct 22, 2013Let me start by saying I am not an AutoCAD wiz by any means. I have AutoCAD LT 2013 at my work and for the last year I have used it with no issues same as I have for the last 10 with previous versions.
This morning I came in and I cannot pan with my scroll wheel or double click the scroll wheel to zoom to extents. I have tried checking the settings for the wheel for pan and zoom and they are both at "1"
Whats even more frustrating is now all of a sudden I cannot enter dimensions for rectangles and other items with the small boxes that usually show up next to my item on the workspace (20" - "tab" - 12" - enter to get a 20x12 rectangle for example).
I have gone through every option section; I have tried rebooting my computer; I have looked at the settings for the mouse and nothing seems to do anything.
AutoCAD LT :: Gray Boxes That Stack Up
Apr 26, 2013In AutoCAD LT 2013, everytime I do something, little gray boxes explaining what I just did stack up on top of the "Type a command" box. Since you can't see thru, or work thru those little gray stack boxes I find myself constantly panning my drawing back and forth to work around them. It would sure make my drawing more efficient and less frustrating if I could turn off those little gray stack boxes. I've clicked around to try to find out if this can be done, but not knowing what they are called is making the quest a bit difficult.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Viewports Don't Have Boxes
Oct 11, 2012On one of my drawings which was created by someone else, the viewports don't have boxes around them. When you click on them in paperspace, it bring you into model space, and when you click on detail it opens up, but cannot expand viewport., you can't delete it. I want to expand it to bring in detail which is bigger now.

Ive uninstalled 2011 without anything going wrong with Inventor 2010 but its AutoCAD 2010 im having trouble with
If i create anything (could be a line or dimension) and then open the properties window or quick properties what used to be there isn't.....
- in the quick properties it says it cant define anything
- in the main properties window, instead of being able to alter the scale of the line / text & adjust lengths etc, the fields have been replaced, at the bottom of the fields are UCS co-ordinates initially i thought it was because installing 2011 has corrupted the files or done something weird and wonderful to them so ive tried:
-Repairing
-Reinstalling - Without Uninstalling the original AutoCAD 2010
-Reinstalling - With Unistalling the original AutoCAD 2010
Im running a XP 64bit machine with the latest service pack
Ill get a screenshot to add tomorrow to make it clear what im on about.
AutoCad :: Dialog Boxes Not Showing Up
Sep 1, 2008This is probably a really stupid question, but several of my settings dialog boxes aren't showing up. I right click on the buttons at the bottom (at the moment snap and grid show this problem), click on the settings selection so I can modify them, then the autocad window looses windows focus (the bar at the top goes to the pale blue), and I can't do anything in autocad. I hit escape and it goes back to normal.
That looks to me like it is opening the settings window, and my focuse is being set to it, but I don't see it. How do I fix this? Can I reset dialog box starting locations (not like I know how it got moved to a crazy place in the first place, but still)?
How can I get my settings dialog boxes back?
AutoCad :: Boxes Containing Blue And Red Lines
Jan 3, 2012What are they for and how do i get rid of them? Whenever I use the rectangle tool and place the rectangle I immediately get like 5 or so of these little gray boxes popping up. Within the boxes are two lines, one blue and one red. The lines are either parallel or perpendicular to eachother. I have to click an 'x' to remove them. This adds a lot of extra time and hassle to the process of making simple designs.how to disable them.

In AutoCad (I am working with ACA 2012) there are several dialog boxes e.g. the "rename" dialog box that always show up in the same (too small) size.
After renaming e.g. a block, the window closes and I have to repeat the command to rename another item.
I would like to size the window and keep the setting and would like to keep renaming things without getting interupted by automatical closeups of the window.

The text beneath the icons at the top of the screen appear as empty rectangular boxes. It would appear to be unable to render the character (as if it was a foriegn language set)
The PC language is set to UK English as is the keyboard.

May 11, 2012I've got a Dell Vostro running windows 7. (new system) I've installed Civil 3D 2013. if I use a command that opens a dialog box with drop down boxes when opening the drop down box it will not populate until I move the cursor into the drop down area. Also radio boxes and check boxes do not show changes in selection until I move the location of the dialog box on screen causing it to refresh. I've contacted Autodesk, Dell, and NDIVIA (video card) no one seems to have any Ideas. It works fine in diagnostic mode.
