However, on my main machine, something has gone wrong. I get the new menu structure, but not the enhanced appearance or icons.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing with several dynamic blocks (over 1000 block references) with visibility states. I recently noticed that all of the blocks no longer have the option to change the visibility state (i.e. the upside down blue triangle no longer appears when clicking on the block).
If I insert a new block it comes in with the option to change the visibility state. However, the previously placed blocks still do not have the option of changing the visibilty state. Even if I update the definition of all block references in my drawing nothing changes with the previously placed blocks.
Is there an option/command to bring back the option of changing visibility states on my previously placed blocks?

View 7 Replies View RelatedAs you will see from my attached image all of my open images are now sitting outside of the screen. To get them to appear on the screen again I have to hold down the PS logo at the bottom of my screen, which then brings them up as per the image, then click to select an image. This then brings it onto the main screen. But I have to do this with each image individually. How to bring them all up at once? Or how to turn off this feature completely?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSay I have an editable patch cube. Is there a way to accurately Fillet the edges of the cube while it's a patch?
I need to use patch modeling so I can convert to nurbs for IGES export. I really don't want to convert to an editable poly at any point in the process because it adds so many extra patches when I convert it back.
I am trying to extrude a cube along a CV curve, but I seem to be running into two issues.
Here is the first one.
[URL].....
For some odd reason I am not seeing the option called "use selected curve for extrusion" in the extrude window. Does it even exist in Maya 2012? Or did they take it out?
And here is my second issue.
[URL]....
Since there is no option called "use selected curve for extrusion", I have to experiment with the "Poly Extrude Curve" options. But when I do....the mesh gets all messed up and it always seems to come to a point at the other end of the CV curve.
Why can I not see the option "use selected curve for extrusion"? And why does my mesh keep coming to a point at the end of my CV curve?
A lot of times I'll be working on multiple .psd files and as I'm moving between files I'll notice that all the layers & layer comps will disappear from their palette
[URL]
I can bring them back by doing something like clicking on the text tool and then clicking on a text item on the stage. It's annoying because it takes a couple of clicks for the palette(s) to redisplay.
Is this a bug or is there a setting in preferences that can control this?
I'm using 3DS Max 2012 and am trying to get a cube to rotate around the rotation system of a sphere sitting near by so that the cube looks like it's orbiting the sphere. The problem is that when I go to the coordinates menu and click on Pick, I select the sphere, but the rotation gizmo is still around the cube.
Here's a screenshot to show you what I mean.
See how the sphere is where the coordinates are suppose to be, but they are still around the cube?
How do I make this get around the sphere?
I'm taking over the development of some Autodesk addins that are used to parse a drawing to bring back text from the drawing, namely title block and bill of materials information. I have another process that runs and reads the meta data for the drawing itself that gets run from Vault before checking in the drawing. I need to know if I can combine these two processes such that I can parse the drawing outside of AutoCad. Is this possible?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe upgraded to AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 (from AutoCAD Mechanical 2009).
I used to go: TOOLS > DRAWING ORDER, in order to bring an object to the back or the front of another object.
Now that we are using AM 2012, I can't find where this command is located.
I am really enjoying Photoshop CS6 and familiarizing myself with some of the new features and changes. Love the new user interface and the speed. But miss some of the control layouts in CS5. For example the CS5 Crop tool with the ability to specify the size of the crop along with setting the resolution.
This was a great productivity tool cropping for a specific Matt window and the final resolution for print. With CS6 we have the size parameters but the resolution box is buried menu item. Is there any way to bring the resolution box back to the crop tool bar?
Whenever I bring up the crop tool I see a dialog box covering part of the image. I never use it. Is there a way to hide or get rid of it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a huge problem trying to select the vertices both in the front and the back of my object. I am familiar with backface culling, and the option is not working. I have tried toggling backface culling in the viewport, preferences, mesh component display and polygon display options. None of these options work. I want to be able to select all the vertices on a model, regardless of certain objects/faces being in the way. However, if there is a face in front of the vertice I am trying to select, Maya won't let me select it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently switched to Maya 2014 from 2011.
When I hit "Insert" to enter the customPivotTool, then hit W,E or R after moving the pivot point, it doesn't back out of the customPivotTool state allowing me to move the object. I use this tool very heavily in my workflow and it adds an extra keystroke per operation. Most importantly, to me anyway, is that I don't understand why this behavior was changed.
Question: How do I change this back to the previous behavior?
Edit: I also noticed that when I select and axis on the move tool, move the object, hitting "W" does not reset the move manipulator back to default (the move with camera normal box).
How do I keep the tool palette from going back to the default after I set it up?

I don't know if this is the right name, but my options for cropping, moving, my wand, etc, have disappeared on me by accident. I don't know how to get them back in their original place. Here's a screen shot of what it looks like now. (It's the window that usually stays on the left of the screen, I think for most people. )

Everything , my options, are gone and replaced only by the airbrush tool.
I cannot work out how to consistently go from drawing a straight line to drawing a curve and then back again to a straight line....
The first two steps are fine, but when I go to the third step of trying to draw a straight line after a curve I am having problems, it does not seem to be consistent - I click on the last node which then displays the line next to the pen but if I try to click for a straight line - it makes a curve!
If I use the Alt key and click the node, this also sometimes works but not always and I can't for the life of me work out a way to get it to work in the same way all the time.
