Sep 2, 2012As you will see from my attached image all of my open images are now sitting outside of the screen. To get them to appear on the screen again I have to hold down the PS logo at the bottom of my screen, which then brings them up as per the image, then click to select an image. This then brings it onto the main screen. But I have to do this with each image individually. How to bring them all up at once? Or how to turn off this feature completely?

Jan 5, 2012I just made the jump from CS2 to CS5 where I found Photoshop no longer offers settings for line screen and screen angles for spot color printing. This is a critical feature for me and most others in my industry. Photoshop is the go to program for color separations for garment manufacturers and this is a crippling omission for us. Are there any plans to patch CS5 or to bring this critical feature back in future versions? I have been told by customer & tech support that my only option, while already owning CS2 & CS5, is that I will have to buy CS4 from a third party and go backward. While this may work temporarily, it imposes additional cost, and does not address the long term issue of the removal of these controls. Garment manufacturing is a relatively small, but constant industry among your customer base and Photoshop & Illustrator are our right and left hands.

I can bring them back by doing something like clicking on the text tool and then clicking on a text item on the stage. It's annoying because it takes a couple of clicks for the palette(s) to redisplay.
Is this a bug or is there a setting in preferences that can control this?

Sep 6, 2012I have a drawing with several dynamic blocks (over 1000 block references) with visibility states. I recently noticed that all of the blocks no longer have the option to change the visibility state (i.e. the upside down blue triangle no longer appears when clicking on the block).
If I insert a new block it comes in with the option to change the visibility state. However, the previously placed blocks still do not have the option of changing the visibilty state. Even if I update the definition of all block references in my drawing nothing changes with the previously placed blocks.
Is there an option/command to bring back the option of changing visibility states on my previously placed blocks?
VideoStudio :: Trim Video And Save Back To File
Sep 27, 2012Many of my videos seem to be trimming and saving to a file. With a HD video at a high data rate, all I do is trim the video and save back to a file. However, I select the "Same as first video clip" to save to a new file. What I usually do is save the file and use a third party software to reduce the video the data rate I need.
In other to reduce the re-rendering time, I wish both processes could be done in VS's 'Options' button.

Nov 3, 2010I have a new notebook with intel I7 processor, 8 GB memory and 500 GB 7.200 drive. I captured successful the video from my Sony camera, cutted the video, produced a DVD and enjoyed afterwards the video. To back-up the video on a tape normally I generate a video file in my Video Studio x3 (latest version) and transfer it back to the tape on my video camera. This isn't working in the right way due to stuttering after 10-15 minutes transfering back. After restarting the transition the time until stuttering starts is then less then 10 minutes, next time less then 5 minutes.

Aug 13, 2012crashes in VSX2 (and all previous versions for that matter). At Corel's suggestion I installed the trial version of X5. In the meantime, I had my X2 working a lot better.
But I thought I'd take a look at X5 and see how it looked, since I'd gone to all the trouble of installing it. In order to try it out, I opened some of my projects and played with them a bit. I didn't mean to save them, but apparently I must have because now I can no longer open them in X2. Windows explorer thinks they are X2 project files, but when I try to open them in X2 nothing comes up. Then I try to open them in X5, and sure enough there they are. Project properties confirms they are now X5 project files. I tried to do a save as, but the only options are X5, X4 and X3. No choice for X2.
This is a problem because I haven't decided if I want to buy X5 or not. If I do, fine, but I don't want to be forced into it just so I can work on my old projects. Is there any way to convert them back to a format that X2 will open?
VideoStudio :: X4 Audio Present But Not Played Back After Capturing VHS?
Jul 9, 2012I've tried everything I can think of to get the audio to playback after capturing from a VHS tape, but can't figure it out. I can hear the audio output from my sound card during capture, but playback has no audio. I noticed in the Video Properties box of the Options menu in Capture that the "audio source" says "pass through to sound card", but the "audio source" box is grayed out and can't be changed. I am using an S-Video cable for the video from the VCR, and L/R audio to a stereo plug into my Line In on the motherboard. I can hear the audio during capture, but not playback. BTW, the only means I have at this point is to use Pinnacle Studio to capture, then export as an mpg. file to import into VideoStudio. Pinnacle gives me a choice in audio inputs. Why is VSX4 not allowing that?

Dec 18, 2011I accidentally included a file rename when I just imported a batch of several hundred pictures. I violated a rule that I teach my own Lightroom students, and that is to look carefully at the import panel choices before proceeding.
How can I correct this so that the files are named as they originally were? I know how to easily fix the filenames in Windows (using a tool called BulkRename, for example), but then I'd have to "find" each image one-by-one and correctly point to the renamed version. I tried selecting all the images and then using F2 to rename, but none of the templates allow deleting a portion of the filename.
P.S. Here is an example of what I mean:
ON CARD:
IMG_0001.NEF
...
IMG_0300.NEF
WHAT I RENAMED TO ACCIDENTALLY:
IMG_0001 {shot by John Doe}.NEF
...
IMG_0300 {shot by John Doe}.NEF

Jan 6, 2009Suddenly my file order has changed in File Open window and is in reverse alphabetical file order with numbers last. I need to get back to 0-10 followed by A-Z in that order. I can arrange icons by name and it works, but when I leave the file and come back it is reversed. I'm using the OS dialog and have Windows XP.
