View 6 RepliesI recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and Creative Suite CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS 15.1.0. I'm using Suitcase Fusion 4 ver. 15.0.5 (latest version). I'm having a problem with 2 of my fonts loading correctly in illustrator's Character pallet. They display like a missing fonts in the character pallet as shown in my screen shot with "less than" characters around them: < Carta >, , < ITC Zapf Dingbats > These fonts and files do not give me warnings for missing fonts. The files print and rip correctly. The font displays correctly in illustrator when I use them in a layout (as shown on pic). They also display correctly and are fine in all other applications: Quark, InDesign, Photoshop etc. My fonts are setup correctly, pared down system fonts, other user folders emtpy etc. I have font nuked with Suitcase, Font Nuke and did a safe start up to clear font caches. several times. I've also removed these fonts from suitcase and loaded them in my system folder to see if that fixed it. These fonts are used 1,000's of pages/files so replacing them with another verion isn't really an option.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using ACA 2008 and recently had to have some things reconfigured on my computer by our IT guy because of a few problems. Because of that, I've had to fix a couple of things with my settings in ACA to get it back to what I had before.
One thing that changed that I can't seem to fix is a custom catalog for my tool pallet we have always used that wont come up with my standard ACA pallets when I start up ACA. I have to hit cntrl+4 to bring up the catalog library and from there I can see the one I want to use. I grab the eyedropper and drag it to the tool pallets and it works fine, but when I close out ACA and restart it's gone again.
How can I get it to stick permanently?
I created a file with all the blocks that I use of horn/strobes and strobes only for fire alarm systems and made a tool pallet. I've had to edit and tweak them until they fit my needs but now when I opened autocad my tool pallet was gone so I made another one but now my blocks are not the new revised blocks but the old ones. I double checked the path for the file and it's correct. When I open the file containing the blocks they look and behave like the blocks I revised.

View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I attempt to insert a block with an attribute in it from my tool pallet I get the error FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Acess Violation Reading 0x0020 Exception at 4260af08u.
If I insert a block without attributes it works fine. I even tried building a block in 2013 and then inserting it from the toolpallet, still fatal error's out.
Running Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP Professional 160GB; 77GB Free
All of a sudden after more than a year functioning fine my clone stamp tool stopped working. Everything else is working fine. I reinstalled CS3 and the tool worked fine then, after a reboot, it stopped working again.
I am not supertech knowledgeable, so other than running a complete scan with my anti-virus program and a Windows Defender scan, neither of which identified any problems, I'm at a loss.
I love using Windows and Linux; however, my wife has a Mac Book Pro with X11...
She had an older version of Gimp installed, and recently it began crashing whenever she would select a text tool and tried to apply text to the image.
So, I uninstalled Gimp and downloaded a new version 2.8.2 from the Gimp website (without the addons). Upon opening Gimp there was no toolbar, so I went into tools and opened a toolbar. It appeared as one long toolbar to the left with width of one icon.
I was unable to close it, or click any of the tool icons on it. I'm unable to put in any dockable windows into it.... and the only thing I can do is maximize it full screen.
One workaround, which only temporarily and partially fixes it.... is to make the entire work area one window, then deselect that option and now the toolbar becomes the size of 2 icons . I still can't drop anything into it or resize it... or close it, but at least I can click on the tools and use them. However, once I close Gimp and Open it goes back to the old setup again...
I just loaded LR5 from the Cloud. The visualization tool is not available.

View 20 Replies View Relatedas the place I work at recently upgraded their PS version to CS6 and basically rendered my Intuos 4 completely useless because of the damn Alt/Ctrl modifier, which seems to control the "drag to create a copy of the layer function" regardless of the tool you're using.
It might be specific for my region, but Alt+Ctrl or Alt Gr modifer is used in order to reach certain keystokes, such as ], [, @, so when by default the brush size function on my wacom is linked to a "[" (alt+ctrl+f windows function), my tablet completely flips out and starts sending a mix of Alt, Ctrl and Alt + Ctrl function controls instead of the [ which I'm trying to use.
Alt + w/e functions work just fine, but I can't use any modifer using the alt+ctrl+w/e combo that involves creating a symbol, even while using the keyboard. For example, I can use the alt+ctrl+z command to undo something, but if I linked my brush tool to a "§", which is invoked by calling the alt+ctrl+m windows command, it will act as a normal ctrl + m command and open the curves window.
My draworder tool bar buttons and pull down commands are not working. I click on them and get
Command: Unknown command "AI_DRAWORDER". Press F1 for help.
Command: Unknown command "FRONT". Press F1 for help.
This is the same issue for all of the draworder commands.
If I type draworder in the commande line I can get it to work. How do I restore my tool bar commands to get them to work?
I've made some custom tool palettes that are on the network. I just have them pathed in the options, and set up as a group for users to access. Civil 3D is real sluggish when it comes to using these, and switching between the tabs, and trying to load them up. But Vanilla AutoCAD loads them and switches between tabs no problem. Is there a variable specific to C3D that needs to change to make it work more like it does in Vanilla AutoCAD?

During start up of GIMP 2.8 it displays a window saying it is loading data files. It gets as far as loading 'Tool presets' when it crashes. I tried restarting the computer and also uninstalling and re-installing GIMP with the same end result.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the latest Macbook Air 13" (intel i5 1.8 mhz with 4gb DDR3). I downloaded a trail version of PS CS6 from the creative cloud. It worked fine but suddenly it began act wierd. Every 10 seconds the software stucks for 3 seconds (Rainbow wheel). My computer is brand new and nothing else is installed. I upadted the latest PS patch and download the latest OSX updates but it is still happening.
Update: This is happening mostly when I'm using the text editing tool... (I'm using hebrew fonts as well),
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading.
Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background?
I have compressed the images that are being used but cannot compress further as they may lose the quality.I've got the preloader working and now it seems to be showing up while the site is loading. Is there any way to speed up the loading time.
I have used image transparency successfully in the past . However, now I'm having to result to clipping to get rid of the white background within the frame. I have no results with jpg, gif, tiff, bmp, etc.
Is there a setting that may prevent the transparency from functioning?
Just out of nowhere just now, my delete key stopped function in autocad. It work fine in windows.

I've created new .pc3 files for AutoCAD 2013 for the three printers/plotters we use. The .pc3 files are stored on a network drive. The four test machines we have running all have the same location of the .pc3, .pmp, .ctb files is set in the "Printer Support File Path". I created the .pc3 files with my machine; I filtered the paper sizes to be displayed and set the margins for each. When I access the files from my machine I see only the two paper sizes I set to show. If any of the other machines access the same exact file on the network drive they'll be greeted with eleven paper sizes none of which are either of the two I set up to be displayed.
If I create a .pc3 and .pmp file on a different machine it works properly only on that machine. Every other machine will be shown the same eleven paper sizes.
This happens with the HP DesignJet T1200 HPGL2, the KIP 7700 Series, and our HP Color LaserJet 5500n.
All of the test machines are HP Z400s with Intel Xeon W3565 at 3.2GHZ processors, 16GB RAM, ATI FirePro V4800 with 1GB RAM running 64 bit Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 and 64 bit AutoCAD 2013 Service Pack 1.
Many many times have i used the stretch command without any dramas. I now have a new PC with AUTOCAD 2010. Since the upgrade my stretch command seems to act differently.
If i go to stretch a polyline with some sort of arc joined. no part of the arc inside the window will move.
