The tool pallets in all my Creative apps Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign have just stopped working, ie the secondary hidden tools do not appear when you click on the tool, so I am unable to access the other tools. Seems like it should be something pretty simple, but it is eluding me,

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using ACA 2008 and recently had to have some things reconfigured on my computer by our IT guy because of a few problems. Because of that, I've had to fix a couple of things with my settings in ACA to get it back to what I had before.
One thing that changed that I can't seem to fix is a custom catalog for my tool pallet we have always used that wont come up with my standard ACA pallets when I start up ACA. I have to hit cntrl+4 to bring up the catalog library and from there I can see the one I want to use. I grab the eyedropper and drag it to the tool pallets and it works fine, but when I close out ACA and restart it's gone again.
How can I get it to stick permanently?
I created a file with all the blocks that I use of horn/strobes and strobes only for fire alarm systems and made a tool pallet. I've had to edit and tweak them until they fit my needs but now when I opened autocad my tool pallet was gone so I made another one but now my blocks are not the new revised blocks but the old ones. I double checked the path for the file and it's correct. When I open the file containing the blocks they look and behave like the blocks I revised.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I attempt to insert a block with an attribute in it from my tool pallet I get the error FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Acess Violation Reading 0x0020 Exception at 4260af08u.
If I insert a block without attributes it works fine. I even tried building a block in 2013 and then inserting it from the toolpallet, still fatal error's out.
I have problem with attached block (also with other similar blocks with field). This block include field in block attribute. Works fine if I copy and paste this block. When I drag and drop from Tool Pallete field disappeary.

When I use File/Open everything is greyed out because the Enable field is blank. I can't find any place to set this field permanently to All Readable Documents.
Secondly, when I use Save As, Photoshop wants to save my image in a .eps format unless I save it as JPEG Stereo.
I want to stroke a bezier curve with the Pen tool. The color of the stroke I can manage all right, but I am totally unable to find out how I edit the line type and its width in Pen tool. In the leftmost submenu showing the pen tool, there are several preset options (for the pen tool and other tools), but none of which I need. What I want, is simply a 1 pixel wide pen which draws whole lines, not dashed or dotted. And I would also like to have some feathering and/or antialiasing options in the stroke.

1. Are the CMYK working space options in photoshop actually printer profiles? eg. U.S Web coated (SWOP) v2
2. I ask the guys who do the offset printing what printer profile they use and that is the one i should select in photoshop.
3. So when I soft proof it uses the CMYK working space and my file is previewed or it mimics what i would look like printed on the paper/ink combination at the printers.
4. All the CMYK working spaces available in photoshop are all ICC compliant?
I'd like to be able to use one tool with two different options at the same time. For example the cloning tool once in 30 % and second in 100 %.
Maybe Adobe could think about this upgrade?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWell my problem is that the toolbar that comes up when you press on (example paintbrush tool or type text tool), you know that stripe above evreything where you can can select font and font size and brush size and that stuffs, well that stripe is gone.
I have selected Window and then toolbar but the problem is that I must have pull that thing away from the window and so know I relly don't know where that stripe is. (The stripe is where you can select font or font size, brush or brush size. I call it the stripe ) Well I am getting so crazy because I doon't know how to get that thing back?
When I click once on a tool to choose it, the tool's options (ex. the 3 options of the lasso) stay displayed so that I have to re-click (anywhere) before I can use it. This by opposition to the normal behavior of PS that is when you click on a tool it is choosen and you can use it right away. I must have change a preference but I can't find wich. View 12 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my mom from PSE5 to PSE11....is there a way to detach the Tool Options from the BOTTOM and move it back up to the top? I'm finding it's confusing her because she likes to have her Photo Bin open at all times and she's used to seeing the Tool Options appear at the top like in previous versions of PSE.
Is there a plugin that can change it or an option someplace I'm missing?
I only had Adobe Photoshop for about 2 months now. I have been using the Low Key tool in guided alot. Here recently I went to edit a photo and my reduce effect button tool will not work. I tried everything from restarting my computer and the program. I love using this tool but I can not get the reduce effect to work.

The second problem is at other times the proper tool icon and function is not showing up and working. I select for example the pen tool and the hand tool icon show up and the function works as the hand tool not the pen tool?
after using the crop tool in Photoshop CS6, the Presets and RGB channels options are greyed out on the curves adjustment layer, IF that layer's Properties are displaying at the time. I find I can get the options back if I open and close Curves Display Options.
I am running Windows 7 x64, AMD Radeon HD 5800 with latest drivers (same problem with older drivers).
Have used all sorts of queries but can't seem to locate how to:
Move the tool options from being displayed on the bottom of my workspace to the top (like a bar across the top).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed X4 and hooked up two mini-DV sources to capture from mini-DV tapes. When I start the program, click the Capture tab, and click on the Options up-arrow, the options panel slides up, but it is completely blank. No place to select a source and start capturing from the devices. The devices are a Sony GV-D1000 DVR and a Canon GL2 camcorder, both connected by USB to my WinXP PC. The right drivers are installed, and the devices are recognized by Windows (Camcorder appears as a drive in Windows Explorer, etc.)
I'm at a loss. I have X3 at home and I sort of remember what that Options panel is supposed to look like, but I've never seen it totally blank. I'm traveling right now, and I need to dump these tapes to my HD.
When I start using the drop shadow from the center out, the options such as the Drop Shadow Angle, Shadow Fade, and Shadow Stretch in the control bar on top are all grayed out. My friend told me that this is not supposed to happen.
