AutoCad :: Can't Find A Way To Change Fastener Size
Jan 22, 2013
Edit: Fastener size. Can't find a way to change that.
Our teacher left us with a problem and I can't really understand this. I'm reading through the book and there's basically little to no "how to do" or examples I can follow. We have to do a 2D drawing. It's a Flathead cap screw - 3/8 - 16 UNC 2A x 2.0 lg 1.0 grip
So far I know that 3/8(.375") is the major diameter, 16 is the threads per inch, 2A is the average with external thread, and 2.0 is the length. I pretty much don't know how to put it into a drawing..
I added a new "Standard" and "Fastener Type" to the Clearance.xls file for my Inventor 2013. This was done in an effort to create a standard set of dowel hole sizes in our design department. So far it is working, however I have a few improvements I need implementing.
Changing the "Fit" name from "Close/Normal/Loose" to "Press/Nominal/Slip" to make it more user friendly in the hole wizard.DeterminE how to create a custom hole callout in .idw drawings for this new hole type. I would like to use the Hole Callout feature and have it automatically place our specific hole information/text for the machine shop to create the hole.
Ex.. Drill and ream for 1/4" Dowel hole Press Fit .2495 +0 -.0005
I have attached the clearance.xls file we modified to get this new fastener type to show up in our hole wizard.
I am trying to set up auto importing by tethered shooting with a Canon 1Ds (but don't think brand and camera matter.)
I never use DNG, and am not aware of, and after a lot of searching, cannot find anywhere in the LR4.3 preferences at which I specified DNG conversion. In the Auto0Import dialog there is a File-handling tab that offers one choice: how to spell the dng suffix. The files I want to import will come in as CR2., and testing this with other folder destinations and with Canon's EOS Utility prove that the camera is "sending" CR2 files.
Mleader arrow head didn't change size when change the scale on Object property?
The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible
Is there any better method to find the overall size of a part model? I tried Range Box method and that gives some inaccuracy if the model have loft feature and fillet on that. But if I use GetExistingFacets the size gives more accurate. At the same time in a round part model with a cut, the GetExistingFacets give inaccuracy and range box method gives better result. Below is the X, Y, Z sizes of the two models with the above mentioned methods.
Round Part (Part1)
Measured with GetExistingFacets method = 129.934196472168 x 126.422719955444 x 25 Measured with Range Box method = 130 x 126.514225996919 x 25
Rectangular Part (Part2)
Measured with GetExistingFacets method = 300 x 300 x 30.0000286102295 Measured with Range Box method = 300 x 300 x 30.4094903224854
I need to change the shortcut commands but cannot find the file or how to do it in AutoCAD LT 2012. I had to reinstall due to a virus in my computer and I cannot remember how to do this, it has been too long.
I create a text box and paste in the info into it. Now I want to resize the box to fit the space available but the handles end up changing the font size. I need the software to change the auto line feeds as the box's size is changed.
The feature where you can quickly change a brush size/ diameter by pressing Alt + hold right click (for Windows) (In Mac, control + alt + left click) is neat but is there any way to change that shortcut to a different combination? I can't find it in the shortcuts list.
How do I find out the exact size of a graphic or image after it has a clipping mask applied in Illustrator CS4? When you just select the image or do Ctrl+A it shows the entire image size(including the masked unwanted portion) in the transform palette and I just need the final dimensions of the image. How I can find out what the masked image size is?
I have a scanner issue and wanted to load a psd to show the problem (600 almost looks better than 1200) but when I upload, it gets rejected. It's ~21 M.
Another issue re: scanners. Mine only has jpeg, bitmap, png and a few other file types. These are actual photographs and I'd like to scan them in RAW.
When looking for a font to use, a SAMPLE of font displays along side of the fonts list but in CS6 i can not find the Size option for the SAMPLE list, in other versions it use to be in preferences , is it a lost cause searching for it (no longer available in CS6).the sample is so small it's hard to see
This is probably a really really simple question but I can't for the life of me find how I can find out an individual image size from multiple images on a canvas. eg I have 3 photos i want to arrange 1 large and the other two next to it half the size. How can I edit individual image size on the canvas as when I select the image on a sperate layer I want to resize it just resizes the entire canvas and not the individual image
Spent 9 hrs creating a slideshow that I saved. Closed PSE 11 and reopened and can no longer find the slideshow. When I select Find, Media type, Project, nothing appears, but there is a gray box in my grid that says "File size too large". Is this my slideshow and if so how can I recover it?
I changed my aperture size but for some reason it didn't take. it is still small. Even if I go back into options it shows the larger size but doesn't take affect. Of by the way the Autosnap marker size got larger.
I have exported one point file from arc gis software to autocad. It is opening in autocad but I 'am not able to change the size of those points. Though I can change the color. I also created a small symbol and tried to match it by using MA option but it is not of any use.
I am having a problem with output size when rendering. From Draft right through to presentation the output size is greyed out so I cannot change it. I've never had this problem before. Have I inadvertantly clicked on something which disables the output size?
I need to adapt a design to a billboard; it was originally created by our parent company's marketing. The billboard company just informed me that I need to incorporate a bleed area and the document does not have that. I think it's using a mask on the items that will need to bleed, so I need to find the masking box and expand it to meet the bleed. But since I did not create this document, how to find it and it's difficult to reach Marketing. Is there an easy way to find the mask, or make it visible?
I am in inventor and I need to draft up some diagrams for a lab report for school. They all have to be to scale so my dimensions will work properly, the only problem is, when I want to take a screenshot of the image to put into my document, the dimensions are way too **** small. I have tried everything to change them and nothing has worked. I don't know where my command line window is so I can't go directly to dimstyles.
I have a question about the revision tag. It's seam that we can not change the size of the balloon or Triangle. But we can use a user symbol. But we can make this choice only after placing the tag. see picture.
My question is : It is possible to make this choice in the stylelibrary ?
Sometimes when we place a window in a wall we can grab the grip and stretch it to any size we want. Other times the only sizes we can use are the standard sizes. I know how to add a standard size but how can we make it to where you can just strectch it to any size we want?
I created 3 parts, which I shell use in my presentation. But when I put they near, I saw that they have big changes in size. How can I correct this without making new projects?
I am having an issue with changing sheet sizes using VBA. Due to the constraints under which my borders and title blocks were created, inventor forces me to delete the current border before changing the sheet size. I have 5 different borders and 2 title blocks.
