I created 3 parts, which I shell use in my presentation. But when I put they near, I saw that they have big changes in size. How can I correct this without making new projects?
I am wondering if it is possible to do a mass change of all project files at once. What I wish to change is my content center location, template location and style manager file locations. I have all these setup already and tested with one project but I dont want to do it with the other ... LOTS! ... manually unless I must.
I am designing a vacuum part in Autodesk Inventor, which is essentially a long cuboid shape with various valves and spaces for windows along it's length (see attached pic). Upon finishing the design of this part, a few details need to be changed - one being the fundamental shape of the object. It now needs to be a larger square section attached to a long cuboid section (as I found out the valves on the right hand side of the drawing are around double the size they are in this drawing). Rather than restart the project from scratch, I would like to only modify one of the ends to be extruded out into a square shape, or something like that. My first idea was to use the split command in order to split the faces into what I did and didn't want to change, but upon starting this, I don't think this is the best way.
I have to set up a project in Navigator so we can get started on it but I will have to go back and change the project number when we get it.
My question is how do I change the project no so that it re paths everything and reorganizes itself numerically in Windows Explorer...or should I just create a new project in Navigator and copy the files I need into the new project?
I am in inventor and I need to draft up some diagrams for a lab report for school. They all have to be to scale so my dimensions will work properly, the only problem is, when I want to take a screenshot of the image to put into my document, the dimensions are way too **** small. I have tried everything to change them and nothing has worked. I don't know where my command line window is so I can't go directly to dimstyles.
I have a question about the revision tag. It's seam that we can not change the size of the balloon or Triangle. But we can use a user symbol. But we can make this choice only after placing the tag. see picture.
My question is : It is possible to make this choice in the stylelibrary ?
I am having an issue with changing sheet sizes using VBA. Due to the constraints under which my borders and title blocks were created, inventor forces me to delete the current border before changing the sheet size. I have 5 different borders and 2 title blocks.
-Title Blocks Title Block 1 - All sizes except for A4 Title Block 2 - A4 Only
I'm having trouble changing the sheet size. This is the extent of the code that I know actually works: Â Option ExplicitPrivate oDoc As DrawingDocumentPrivate oSheet As SheetPrivate oBorderDef As BorderDefinitionPrivate oBorder As BorderSet oDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocumentSet oSheet = oDoc.ActiveSheetSet oBorderDef = oDoc.BorderDefinitions.Item("A0 Border (13x8 Zone)")Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() cmbPageSize.AddItem ("A0") cmbPageSize.AddItem ("A1") [code].......
You know the square, traingle, circle, and the hexagon shapes that are used on the revision tags? How do I change the size of the geometry to be smaller? If I just change the text size, all that changes is the text, the geometry remains the same. I'm wanting to make them ultra small so that when there are lots of revisions, it doesn't clutter up the drawing too much.
In the Autodesk Inventor drawing (.idw) I am unable to change the font size when i dimension a hole and thread. I have tried going into "Edit Hole Note" and "Text" when you right click on the dimension.
I have created the code to print out the pages from a drawing using Ilogic and the Print Manager. However, I cannot get the ilogic code via the Print Manager to change either the orientation OR the paper size to suit the print out.
For example, If I have an A3 drawing i can create the Ilogic code for the Print Manager to select the page size of A3 (kPaperSizeA3) within the code, but when I run the code the printer will ONLY select the Default of A4 paper.
The A3 paper is in a different tray but I cannot get the Print Manager to Select the A3 Paper. The printer we are having this issue with is a HP LaserJet 5200...We are also having the same problem of Printing out 1:1 Scale drawing to an A0 Plotter. Â I cannot get the Print Manager to change the Output Page Size either.
This is for a HP DesignJet 430...I have just tried to use the iLogic Snippet for Printing, and if you change the page size to suit A3 (kPaperSizeA3), the printer asks for a paper size of 312mm x 210mm.... Â This was with the HP LaserJet 5200.
how to get the Printer output paper size changed through the Print Manager.
I have a query. How do I change the color and font size of the RMC menu? I am using Autodesk Inventor 2012 Suite. I find it quite small and hard to see.
I have tried to change the size of the text in the title block and in other places within a drawing, but the changes are ignored. They always come back to Tahoma 0.120"
Is this a bug in the program?
Inventor 2013 with the latest service packs, etc.
I really need to make some changes to the title block and making the text smaller is one of them.
I do not have vault installed and I am trying to add sub files to my project. As of now my project has to find many of my files and I do not want to copy and past them into my project folder as this will mess with my parts numbering system. I want only one part / assembly file per part. I assume that you can do this with the project dialog box or some other system tool I just can not seem to figure it out.
a customer has a title block with a revision table ( standard vault revision table) Â add on top of it.
If you change the sheet size the revision table remains his position.
If found the way to reposition the table with a ilogic rule.:
'point afstand in cm PointX=(ActiveSheet.Width/10)-13 PointY=5.5 'punt vanaf rechtonder gemeten in cm
[Code]....
This is working perfectly. But now the challange how to trigger this rule to run if you change the sheet size?
if tried:
trigger=Activesheet.size
or
to create a userparameter and added this line in my rule : Size=ActiveSheet.size, normaly is you change parameters it triggers the rule to rule. but both way didn't work.
Can event triggers from the API be used? Do i need the "Onchange" event? Any example for a ilogic rule?
I'm looking for a way to change the size of a custom content center part via ilogic. I found a way to replace them on this forum but this is not ideal for, because that creates a new part every time i change the size of the part.
This code works with no errors but does not change the text size. A user can over ride the text size (Font size) so I'm hoping it is possible thru code.
Dim oSketch As Inventor.Sketch Set oSketch = oPartDoc.ComponentDefinition.Sketches("Sketch1") Dim oText As Inventor.TextBox Set oText = oSketch.TextBoxes.AddByRectangle(pnt1, pnt2) oText.Style.FontSize = 0.1
Mleader arrow head didn't change size when change the scale on Object property?
The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible
Which setting(s) do I need to change to avoid dimensions that "explode" after inserting into a project. Example, several Architects I deal with, when any dimension string is placed into the drawing, there is a prompt to either type in or hit enter for the dimension shown. I will save the drawing, but if I get into the drawing later and need to continue the dimension string, I cannot select the previous dimension as it is now just lines and text. I am using Autocad 2013 and have never been able to figure this out.
When I open a new project(say it is 8X10) and then I want to put an image into the background....well, if I make th image 8X10 it doesnt take up the whole "sheet" it is way too small....do I have to go somewhere to view it at the right size?
A friend wants for me to work on an image for her that will be used later in various forms of print with various sizes. That's all I know really, so I'm not sure what size to use. Should I select a large dimension using inches as a ratio (such as 8" x 10"), or should I use a resolution preset (such as 1024 x 768)? I'll be using 300ppi and I'm using photoshop cs2.
