View 2 Replies View RelatedI am making this 3d Model out of Sheet metal but I am having a problem finishing it. On the very bottom of the part, I want the red and the green surface to be parallel to the Y-axis on both sides. The sketch "Desired Geometry" shows what I am trying to make. I tried using corner seam but it gives me error. The distance between the two red surface can vary. How this shape can be achieved which will give me a correct flat pattern too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have made a part - a motor that has four holes.
Now I'm trying to make another part, which will be aluminium plate that needs to have holes in exactly same points as the motor. My assembly containts both that parts.
What I'm trying to do is to reference in sketch a point that comes from different part (motor).
I could do it by hand, make it look that the holes are on top of each other but then there will be an error which doesn't seem professional.
In some tutorial on yt I have only found that using points one can reference the holes more easily, but it didn't show how.
I am having difficulty creating the attached 3D business models in vector and struggling with the perspective and angles, both are proving challenging. I initially started by creating a cross hatch grid and rotating it 45 degrees but its not looking right.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat i have is a low polymodel that's quite small in scale, i'm modelling around a higher poly model, when i zoom in, the viewport clipping kicks in and parts of the model disappear, so i cant work on the small details. What i need to do is scale up both my low poly and high poly, work on the small details and scale it back down.
In maya there are multiple solutions to this; The first and most obvious would be to increase the near clip in the camera attributes.
The second would be to freeze transformations on the low and high poly, scale up the model, work on it and then scale it back to the value of 1.
The third would be to put both the low and high poly models into a group, scale up the group, work on the model, return the group back to its default size and ungrouping. Personally i would use this method to preserve the original scale values on the low and high poly models.
Is there a way of doing any of the above in 3ds max?
Is there a way to make model space look like paper space? All the dotted lines I have to draw are always solid in paper space and then I have to go to paper space to see if they look OK (scale-wise). Kinda a weird concept to get used to. The problem is I will miss it sometimes until a print is made and you see see the mistake.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhat it boils down to is that I'm the only inventor seat and need to use dwg for layouts in my work environment so that others can edit notes and print if needed. We also always plot to pdf and then print hardcopies as necessary.
Many of our drawings require ISO/axon/perspective views of models, and almost always shaded views. I can plot from inventor without issue, but when I plot from autocad, the shaded views plot only partially shaded with the rest wireframe or completely wireframe. I attached a pdf example. The view on the left should appear shaded the same as the views to the right.
I've adjusted every print setting I can think of, set shaded views to offline only for using bitmap, and tried low, mid and higher resolutions for the bitmap dpi setting.
We have product design suite 2013 and I'm on a windows 7 x64 machine.
If I could set up different Shade modes for my X-references and my main model?
View 0 Replies View RelatedI am xref'ing in a floor plan (provided by a client) & I need it to print at a lighter shade of grade. The information that I am adding will be on my own layers and will be darker. What I need is to change all of the various lineweights from the xref'd file to a single gray lineweight, but not change the linetypes. I have seen this done, but it was a long time ago, & it was with an older version of AutoCAD. For the life of me, I cannot recall how it was done. Any simple way to do this without phyiscally changing my original copy of the drawing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedTake a look below at my viewports and take the following into consideration:
AutoCAD 2012- CADPipe 12.0
Viewports are 2D Wireframe
Shade Plot is set to Realistic
Bottom right-hand viewport has been 'clipped'
All viewports have been '3d-Clip'ed
All text is done in Paperspace
All files have been X-reffed into a plot tab drawing (over 20 files)
I've created 15 other tabs using the same layout as this one with no issues
Preview shows all viewports, but when it prints, only the left two come out and parts of the other two.
This is how it looks in my Paperspace Tab.Paperspace Viewport Layout.jpg
This is how it's SUPPOSED to look, and looks in 'Print Preview'.Print Preview.jpg
This is what comes out after I print. Final Print.jpg
Never had this problem before. Can't figure out why it's not printing the two to the right. Viewports are set to 'on' and 'display viewport objects'. All pipe is in te same layer (just on seperate drawings). All are set to printable.
I am having some difficulties when printing via dwg to pdf a rendered shade plot viewport in a layout. However, there is no problem using realistic shade plot. I am using the following materials: Metal | Alumininum (Anodized Blue, Anodized Blue-Gray), Plastic and Glass and the result is not good as all. I am also looking on a tutorial on strategic place to place light for even more realistic rendering.

I am having difficulty with the display of my point numbers and description when plotting. I am doing piping desing and utilizing Civil 3D points for the coardinates and elevations to display in a point table. For my viewport, in the properties dialogue box, under the Shade Plot option, I have selected Legacy Hidden due to needing my pipes to display properly only to have my points not display properly. If I opt for Legacy Wireframe or As Displayed, my points display correctly but my pipes do not. Any clue as to how I can have both display properly?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSay I have a cartoon-like image of a face, outlined in black, and filled in with a background color. The image was saved as a .jpg so it got anti-aliased and the black outline & background instead of being 2 shades (one for the background, one for the outline) became many shades. Aside from the painstakingly long process of erasing all background pixels and replacing it, yet again with all the same shade, is there another, perferably easier and faster method of doing this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOpen a new doc in Greyscale mode, and use your Color palette in RGB Spectrum to select your hue of grey/colour. And to get a finer shade of grey/colour within the hue of grey/colour you're working with, click on the little arrow (top right of Color palette) and open up the drop down menu and select Current Color. This will give you a finer palette of grey/colour saturation to work with.

I have never used Ohotoshop so I dont know how to remove it. I have photoshop 7. I am attaching my pic and I would GREATLY appreciate if someone could list the steps i need to do to fix the picture. My girlfriend's picture is the same .. so Ill need to know the steps
Also if I could maybe lighten up the background ...
Is there a feature in photoshope that allows to put a shade under a written text. For example something like the shade under the big Google word on their site, which gives a kind of three dimensionality to the text.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSuppose I've got a blob of uniform color. I want to make it pop out a little 3D. How do I make shade on one side in a curved manner (that is, it gets gradually darker as you move from the interior of the blob to the edge). Also, how do I add light in the same manner or as a condensed reflective/glittering spot. I also have some circles I'd like to make into spheres with a similar technique. How do you make spheres out of circles in regards to shading and light?

View 9 Replies View Relatedhow to copy the hexa values of a shade of a colour?
According to the attached picture in Colour editor that field is grey so does not seem selectable, but in the meantime quite often would like to copy that hexa value from one document to a second if needed.
At Named colors it is always active field so easily can mark and copy with the mouse, but not if that color is a shade of a Parent. Or I am missing some evident easy way
Is there any plugins to shade text, or make it 3d?

they did not fix the problem with Hyper-shade not keeping its setting. Maybe Maya 2014?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSay you have a irregular object that is in shades of red and you want to shade one one edge to from red to purple to indigo. You select specific red pixels and replace them with blues. You brush in the amount, area, and shape that you want to change without changing and other colours. You then select another shade of red pixel and used a darker shade of blue and brush over part of the area that you have already done to darken it. You repeat as necessary to get the effect you want.
I have tried masking and color select but the edges are too defined and not giving the effect that I want. Most of my less powerful graphics programs have this tool but unfortunately they can no longer handle the graphics I am working with.
I was using the Grim Color Reaper plugin for when I needed to merge a shadow map and regular texture. Now it seems that with the new release of Paint.net the plugin has stopped working.I need something that merges the shadow map and the normal texture, that works with the new release.
