How do I make shade on one side in a curved manner (that is, it gets gradually darker as you move from the interior of the blob to the edge). Also, how do I add light in the same manner or as a condensed reflective/glittering spot. I also have some circles I'd like to make into spheres with a similar technique. How do you make spheres out of circles in regards to shading and light?

View 7 Replies View RelatedReferring to the image attached, this is my question: I want to make all the blue and red in the image of one plain shade. You can see that in the image there are couple of patches of red and blue color separated by while lines. Now inside one of these colored patches (which is isolated form another patch by a combination of above mentioned white lines and the boundary of the image itself), the color is either red or blue. This color does not look uniform because this image is a scan of a painting. Hence, although the entire patch is red/blue, not every pixel in that patch is of the same shade. If I wanted to change everything inside one such region to a plain red or blue color, how can I do that? If such is the case then I will try to articulate it better. Find attached, the image.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSay I have a cartoon-like image of a face, outlined in black, and filled in with a background color. The image was saved as a .jpg so it got anti-aliased and the black outline & background instead of being 2 shades (one for the background, one for the outline) became many shades. Aside from the painstakingly long process of erasing all background pixels and replacing it, yet again with all the same shade, is there another, perferably easier and faster method of doing this.

And to get a finer shade of grey/colour within the hue of grey/colour you're working with, click on the little arrow (top right of Color palette) and open up the drop down menu and select Current Color. This will give you a finer palette of grey/colour saturation to work with.

Have any of you ever designed ur own t-shirt?
I looked around on the internet for professionally printed shirts(those are the same as iron on right?) and noticed that all the colors they used, it tends to be a little powdery looking, so I was guessing maybe that kind of colors look better in contrast with the shirts.
What I'm thinking of doing is just make the design's lineart on paper, scan, and color with photoshop. then preview and print on the transfer paper.
