Photoshop :: Filter To Shade Images To Copy
Sep 19, 2008
I'm trying to find a method in Photoshop 7.0 to take an image of any sort and distort / change it to a sort of pencil drawing WITH SHADINGS so that he can practice copying them
I've uploaded a couple of images which show the original and his copy.

how to copy the hexa values of a shade of a colour?
According to the attached picture in Colour editor that field is grey so does not seem selectable, but in the meantime quite often would like to copy that hexa value from one document to a second if needed.
At Named colors it is always active field so easily can mark and copy with the mouse, but not if that color is a shade of a Parent. Or I am missing some evident easy way

I want to effect many images (several hundred at least) with the same filter. How do I do this without clicking on each image and hitting "CTRL+F", then saving it? Is there some kind of batch way of doing this?

I'm trying to Copy an Assembly via the Apprentice Server functionality.
But I don't want to copy all files with the filesave as feature. Some of the files, has to be used again as the source file. For Example Content Center files should not be copied. Or maybe also some specific defined internal standard files.
Is there a possibility to get this work?
In the moment, I got all these files via:
[...] For each Element As Inventor.ApprenticeServerDocument In doc.AllReferencedDocuments [...]
maybe it's possible to say something like that:
If Element=ContentCenterDocument then BlaBlaBla
I know, there's an "Inventor.ObjectTypeEnum.kContentCenterObject", but I don't know, how to use it, to check the ApprenticeServerDocument with that.-

I used to have a filter that would take an image and convert it to what amounts to a 2 color image, say orange and blue, with all the original tonal values of the master image.

I have found that the filter makes automatic changes to images.  For example, if I correct a vignette with no sturctural sliders touched, then save the setting, the image appears in my editing window signifcantly altered with altered barrel configurations. So, I have to redo and compensate or just forget about it. This is not a problem with an image I want to correct--architectural, for instance. But, who wants to start fixing issues that the software is creating? I would like to disable this but have not found a setting yet.Â

I have a big collection of scanned photos many of which are in b&w. Unfortunately they have not all been tagged, so now I'm looking for an easy way of finding all my b&w images.
Â
Can this be done in LR?

I'm looking to filter on images that have been modified since the import. The modification could be within lightroom, or external. I have a filter setup for external files, but I can't figure out what filter to use to show files that have been modified inside lightroom.Â
Â
Hopefully my request makes sense. I find I am making more changes in Lightroom (3.5) these days, and would like to filter (without setting flags/stars/colors/...) on images that I have already modified. Is this possible?Â

Is there a way to filter images before importing them in Lightroom?
Â
ScenarioI work with an extensive image collection stored on a server. The images contain a full set of metadata, including keywords and more. When I work on a specific project, I import the images into a Lightroom collection. That way I can easily review, rate and add additional keywords to those best-of images.
Â
The challenge is that the images I want to add are from numerous folders. Plus, I often only want to add some images from those folders (not the entire folder). This collection process can be very time consuming -- manually locating the images and checking/unchecking the ones I want and repeating the process for the different folders the images reside in.
Â
The process could be greatly simplified (and a lot faster) if I could filter/search for images that contain key words or other metadata to find the full set of images I want to import.
Â
The key is that I’m not using a workflow to simply import all images from a memory card or download folder. I’m working from a large collection of existing images and want to import a subset of those images.

I'd like to know how to apply a "filter" to a bunch of images. By "filter" i mean a grid for sharing image in equals parts. How to be able to locate elements in a image. And to "apply" this grid to all the images of a directory even by script-fu if necessary.

I have 30.000 photos accumulated over the years, several are useless (too dark, too bright).I need to delete them.
Â
How can I select all the images which are either too dark and/or too bright?
Â
Mathematically this would be relatively straightforward: filter images where the majority of the pixels are black / white.

is there a way in LR (or bridge) to filter all images that are saved as 16 bit images.
Â
i noticed i have a lot of scanned photos/slides that don´t need to be in 16 bit TIFF format.8 bit is enough for them and would save me a ton of HDD space (even when most of them are LZW compressed).
Â
but i need a way to find them in my 80000 images database.so that i can make a further selection which of these 16 bit images i can convert to 8 bit.

I have not been able to find why multiple identical images are displaying in gridview when filters are applied. There is only one image in the folder. This obviously makes it difficult to apply images to keywords.

I have just moved from v3.6 to v4.3. When using the library window, grid view, I use the filter bu selecting a specific date but images are being returned incorrectly. For example: When I select a date i.e. 25/05/2011, I have images being shown for that date but also others with a capture date of 06/02/2012. How can this issue be corrected? I have over 60,000 images to review.

Lightroom 4.3 version. All updates applied. Windows 7 64 bit. Single hardrive used. No problems on disk. Memory 8 gig. Speed 3 MHZ. OK
Â
Here is how I use filters. Select folders/SE:ECT drive letter where it shows number of images/turn on filters/select metadata/ use flat or hierarcy does not matter, select a date. No problem, all the images from the entire drive relating to a day display.Â
Â
PROBLEM - multiple images are displayed in grid or filmstrip. Search of the hard drive reveals those multiple images do not exist. Now what is the solution ? Metadata status ALWAYS displays image changed always. Status responds correctly when images are displayed - no problem there.
Â
When Catalog is selected as above, same results are obtained. Does not matter - raw data or processed images into JPEG.
Â
I can't express this problem any better - all the details are there. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? I need the metadata filter to use dates.

Say I have a cartoon-like image of a face, outlined in black, and filled in with a background color. The image was saved as a .jpg so it got anti-aliased and the black outline & background instead of being 2 shades (one for the background, one for the outline) became many shades. Aside from the painstakingly long process of erasing all background pixels and replacing it, yet again with all the same shade, is there another, perferably easier and faster method of doing this.

Open a new doc in Greyscale mode, and use your Color palette in RGB Spectrum to select your hue of grey/colour. And to get a finer shade of grey/colour within the hue of grey/colour you're working with, click on the little arrow (top right of Color palette) and open up the drop down menu and select Current Color. This will give you a finer palette of grey/colour saturation to work with.

Is there a feature in photoshope that allows to put a shade under a written text. For example something like the shade under the big Google word on their site, which gives a kind of three dimensionality to the text.
