View 1 RepliesI've loved and used my cloning tool for years. All of a sudden I went to apply it and it would be grainy or splattery (new word) on the edges. I changed by brush types an everything, but with no success. I even undated to the newest version of PHotoshop, but still can't get it to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've never encountered before. I am using the cloning tool in CS5 and I am trying to stamp clone one part of the photo and clone it to another part of the photo. The problem is that after I option click and then drag it to the part I need, dark spots show up instead? I am running Photoshop CS5 for Mac with the latest updates.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to clone just using one place. I do not want the clone thingy to follow my cursor as I attempt to clone an area, I just want it in one place (stationary),
View 9 Replies View Relatedhow to use the Cloning Tool? Most of the tools are easy to figure out, but I cannot figure this one out!
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt is posible to do this in next version perhaps?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor whatever reason(s), after applying the 'Depth of Field' effect, the cloning tool no longer works properly. If I open another image, the tool works just fine but if I return to the image where the 'Depth of Field' was applied, the 'clone' no longer stays after the mouse button is released. That is, the effect seems to be temporarily applied under the brush and immediately disappears when the brush is moved or the mouse button is released?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having problems trying to produce an image with reflections. I have been doing it in the past with Xara4. My procedure is to take a number of images, create copies of them, flip them then add transparency once they are in place as refelctions. These are all placed onto a dark background; reflections are stretching beyond the background at this stage. And in the past if I select all, then Arrange>Combine Shapes>Intersect Shapes then I can have the whole image without the transparent regions of the reflections. My plan is to have the background transparent and save all as a png to preserve the transparency on web. But it doesn't seem to happen in my latest attempts. Instead at the Intersect Shapes stage I get a tiny part of the background as my final image....
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to remove some wires in front of a complex background. (I tried a different spot for the photo, but didn't really work....so I was stuck with the wires.) Anyway, apart from just zooming way in and using the clone tool, do I have any options with smart cloning or healing? I searched the PSPX5 file for smart and heal etc., but didn't find anything.

As result in the IPT I have multiplied for 25.4 geometry.
I have a small print shop and have had an issue with the new Photoshop CC not printing images with correct margins on and Epson 9890 and 11880. If I set the image to center on an 8x10 sheet (or any other size). The image comes out skewed to the upper left. between .125 and .25 inches to the left and to the top. I never had this issue with other versions of Photoshop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using PS CC on Windows7 with a digital board (don´t know if that is correct english, but - with a digital pen, instead of a mouse)When I try to erease, clone or write with the pen tool, nothing is happening where the cursor is, but instead rather far below that point. If I use the mouse, it works well, also the digital pen could be used without any problems to perform other things as changing tools, close an image by clicking the "x", or chose layers or whatever.Changing to PS CS6 the problem disappears - everything works fine.

I have reset the settings by holding shift-ctrl-alt while starting the program.
Old PC Windows XP with PSE8. New PC Windows 8 with PSE11.I did a backup and restore operation. After the restore, there was a large list of files that could not be restored. I also noticed that there were a large number of thumbnails with a question mark attached.
Â
I did a reconnect using FindAll missing files. Instead of placing the recovered files in their original path and folder location, they ended up in an entirely different path in the Folders View. I tried to drag the folders back to their original location, but got the message: folder with that name already exists at the requested location, even though it wasn't visible. In addition some of the folders involved were no longer visible in either path structure.
Â
I checked in the My Folders View, and it showed that the folders involved in the reconnect were still intact. I opened one or two and found they contained the original missing images. How can I get the folders and their images back to their correct places in the original path structure?
I want to export images from LR. But when I nominate a size - eg. portrait 5x7", images that are in landscape are resized incorrectly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to share toolpalettes for multi-users in a network.
i create a share-folder with full-write-and-read-status for the cad-admin. then i added the folder into the _toolpalettepath-definition in the acad-options. all other users only have only-read-status for this folder.
this folder will be define in the first position of this list.
in theorie this will work - but now a costumer test this configuration. the problem is, that texts and seperator-lines in the paletten-defintion change the order - like example.
In other postings i read the name *.aws-files - but i did not understand the meaning of this file.
The measure tool is not giving me the correct measurement. For example, I offset a line 24' and when I go to double check the distance it is off by .03. That is starting on the original line and doing a perpendicular snap to the other line. So I thought, wait a minute that can't be right, so I drew a line between the two lines and did an inquiry and it gave me 24'.
I also did a dimension which also was correct. I also measured a 97' line and it was off by 3 feet. Never had issues with previous versions of Autocad as far as measuring.
The background is a gradient mesh(ignore the crosses). I used eyedropper tool(shift-click/normal-click both gave the same result) on the background and it gave me a strange result. As you see the back ground is blue-to-black gradation but the color picked is green-ish from nowhere.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently received a small batch of calendars from a local commercial printers. The colours are OK, but do not match the originals, especially the blue's. I've had similar problems with greetings cards from a different printer. The problem appears to be that I supply the original files in the RGB color space, but they print using CMYK.
Â
I Raw process using Lightroom 4, with adjustments if necessary being made using Elements 10. To the best of my knowledge neither of these programs have the option of editing or saving in the CMYK color space. For more accurate colours is my only option to purchase the full version of Photoshop (CS6 or CC), then convert and colour correct my images in CMYK mode before sending to the printers ?.
I'm working on a job that requires recreating vintage box artwork. This involves recomposing scanned images into a new layout, recreating text from matched fonts - that sort of thing. Unfortunately, some of the scanned images (originally printed offset press in cmyk) were printed with one or more of the plates out of register, creating a halo effect on one side. Can this be corrected in PhotoPaint? Is there a way to create each channel as an object which could be moved to realign the colors and then flattened again?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm capturing television frames using a TV capture card, but the resulting images do not have the correct brightness/contrast and color values.
Instead of manually altering every image using trial and error, I'd like to take a "correct" source frame that I know is correctly balanced (such as a test pattern), and use it to correct my other captured images.
I've tried saving the source frame's levels and curves and then loading them into the captured frames, but this doesn't produce quite the effect I'm looking for.
I try to use the lasso tool to select an irregular chunk of an image and copy this chunk to another part of an image.
When I do this, it says "Could not complete the copy command because the selected area is empty." But there is clearly something in the selected area, and even if there wasn't, it should still copy white space.
This worked once, but when I try to do it now, I have the above problem. I don't know what I did different the time that it worked.
I'd use Microsoft Paint to do this, but it only lets me copy and paste square
chunks and I need irregular.
Is there something were i could open two images and then... copy/cut and paste it to another image?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI still cannot copy anything with the Marquee tool. I can copy with the lasso and other tools, but not that one. Still get the message "not all pixels selected" or something like that.I am using the trial version of PSElements.

I've uploaded a couple of images which show the original and his copy.
Why doesn't CS2 photoshop do a copy paste when you want to merge 2 images liek it does in CS3 photoshop. I can never print screen the image to start off in CS2 photoshop.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am transferring over from Corel and using Photoshop CS4. Sorry to post such a simple question but I'm not quite getting it...and I know it has to be VERY simple. I am having trouble using the cloning tool in Photoshop.
In Corel I simply right clicked on the area I wanted to clone, put my "brush" over the area I wanted to re-do with the clone and it was done. For some reason I am not picking up the process in Photoshop. Any simple tips to get me going?
I wonder if anybody else has experienced this? Whenever I use the Clone tool, the place where I clicked to clone shows blurs around the edge, a softening.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that when you clone a specific area you can rotate the object say 180 degrees before placing it in the desired area.
Example: say you cloned a wedge of pie, can I turn that wedge around before placing it into the picture.
two people in my compartment got new laptops, both using the same software. So I installed one machine completely, including Photoshop, cloned it and write the clone on the second laptop. Now, both Laptops can't run Photoshop anymore. After loading an error message appears and PS is closing The error message is (translated from german):"Your Username, company or serial number for Adobe Photoshop is missing or invalid. The application can no longer be executed and will shut down now." Maybe sysprep removed those informations before cloning? Now, how can I reenter the information without starting photoshop?

I want to be cloned nothing happens.
I cloned myself three times by taking three different pictures without moving the camera. After that I took one picture and made it the "master picture." I then cut the other clones and dragged them into the "master picture." However, you can still see the lines from the light difference.
