When I save artwork as a tiff or jpeg, the preview appears in the negative or reversed color. It opens up fine in Photoshop, but why does it not view correctly in my documents as a thumbnail?

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday when I was importing my pictures from the CF card the energy was off for a couple om minutes (a failure in the electrical net in the town) and the computer crashes (or something like that). When electricity came back I restarted LR and tried to import the images once again. Result: images are in the hard disk, they were imported correctly but no preview was rendered at all!. In the preview lrdata folder I can see two files root-pixels and root-pixels.db-journal that are there since yesterday (I do not know what they mean)...if I try to render previews from the Libray menu....nothing happens....seems that LR does not like to render previews from my most recent import..
I do not know what to do with the next import...so my new images are still in the corresponding CF card...
The selected image appears on the main/center panel but not in the preview screen. Printing results in a white sheet of paper with no image at all. The image has been updated to LR 4 - but made no difference.

View 3 Replies View Relatedsometimes rendering the RAM-Preview takes some time. while waiting I would like at least to read some articles on the internet. But as soon as I click into an other windows, AE stops rendering.
is there a special setting / workaround to avoid this (user-unfriendly behavior) ?
Importing ceases during the rendering preview process at image 2 of set. Same if using SD or Flash Cards, small or large import. No problems using Bridge so reader is operational.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhy i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Nikon D7100. I took some test shots and imported the images to Lightroom 4.4, then generated 1:1 previews for all the images.
Previews zoomed to 1:1 in Library Mode are noticeably soft. The image below is a screen shot of the Library preview:
Moving to Develop View produces a higher-resolution 1:1 preview. The image below is a screen shot of the Develop preview:
Look at the bricks and window screens to see the difference.
This difference occurs immediately after import (with a User Preset applied during import). Once any Develop work is done, the Library preview updates and displays at full resolution.
This problem makes doing initial editing/selection of images time consuming, because I can't determine the sharpness/quality of imported images until I've done some kind of Develop adjustment on each image.
I'm trying to edit a set of titles made in Premiere in After Effects, and after I import the file (as a Premiere file) then load the sequence into the timeline; the preview is just a black screen throughout the entire preview. The titles never show up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedA feature notably absent from the Oil Paint filter is any way to temporarily disable the effect (e.g., not preview it).I happen to like using Oil Paint to make refllections in the surface of water smoother and more "liquid" (which involves turning off the "Shine"), and it would really be nice if I could easily gauge the amount of the effect easily by blinking back and forth between original and processed image with a quick "disable preview" functionality.
With most standard filters, one can either uncheck a [ ] Preview box, and/or click the mouse button down on the image to temporarily show what the image is like without the effect.Yes, I know I can turn the Stylization down to 0.1 and see how a very minimal amount of the effect can be applied. And I can look at the original image in Photoshop proper, but of course that can't be zoomed while the Oil Paint filter is active.
Also, the zooming / panning seems kind of stiffly implemented. In summary, the more or less standard and expected filter features I'd like to see added to this (new class of) GPU-accelerated filters are:Preview/No Preview capability. It doesn't have to update Photoshop, just the preview display in the filter itself. I suggest a [ ] Preview checkbox and/or an on-mouse-click temporary effect disable.
Modal click and drag Zooming vs. Panning - i.e., based on a Zoom or Pan function selected (e.g., via an icon along the left) vs. having to hold modifier keys down. I personally would want it set to Zoom by default, not Pan. Since the filter has scroll bars (a Good Thing), I would have thought Zoom would have been a better default as it is. I have implemented these things in my own GPU-accelerated plug-ins, so I know that all the infrastructure Adobe needs to support them is already in there. These changes are controls only and should be trivial to implement.
I am using MacBook (late 2008) OS X 10.9.2 and recently upgraded to Lightroom 5.3 from Lightroom 4. After a while, some photo started to show exclamation mark at the right hand corner of the photo (*.CR2 raw files in NAS) in grid view. When I click on the exclamation mark, it shows a dialog with following message; "Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo". So, I moved previews.lrdata, which is about 9GB, to the trash and restarted the Lightroom 5, expecting Lightroom 5 to create a new previews.lrdata. However, it won't create any preview at all.
exclamation mark at the top right hand corner of the photos in grid view.
size of Previews.lrdata file stops at 152KB.
Just downloaded LR 5 and noticed that I cannot jump back from a Publish Service folder preview to a different folder preview in grid mode. The only way to view photos in another folder is to restart LR 5. This only happens when I am viewing photos in a Publish Service such as Flickr.
I updated from LR 4 using Creative Cloud installer.
I'm sure this has been talked here before, but i cant find that variable, option or whatever it is that controls if a layout appears according to the ctb selected or with the colors and configuration your using on your drawing.I mean, you have a drawing with many layers of different colors, if your layout is set to use "monochrome", you can only see it with white/black lines.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAt this time, this is my biggest complaint with Civil 3D: My drawing has many layers and overlapping objects and it's necessary to use layer manager constantly. Therefore, I will only have layers on that I need at any given time. So I'm working on a corridor, and I create temporary alignment station/offset labels. I have a style whose layer is, let's say XYZ. In the drawing I'm on layer 0. I place the label, and it does not display.
After turning on all layers, and searching throught the congestion and finally locating my label. I click on it, and properties says it's on layer 0. My style says it's on layer XYZ, but by process of elimination, I find that it's on the layer of the alignment. I understand about default layers under "edit drawing settings", but do I have to change this everytime I create an object or text? I would love to be able to override the default layer.

It appears as if every DXF or DWG file stored on our server is corrupted. Everything was fine until my boss tried to open a DXF file earlier today and got this message:
"new.dxf is not valid DXF file
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded."
His PC has been sending out distress signals and is due for replacement so I didn't think this was that unusual. However, I tried to open the same file on another machine and got the same message. I got the same message attempting to open on my PC using TrueView 2010. I then checked other DXFs and got the same problem. DWGs just say "drawing File is not valid".
The only glimmer of hope I have is that I did have a few files saved to my desktop, rather than the server, and they open just fine. My instinct is that my boss has been 'button bashing' (he has previous) but obviously won't admit to anything. What other causes are possible? Virus?
Our machines are running AutoCAD 2010 and I've attached a 'corrupted' file.
I am a student, when at school my drawing looks perfect. When I get home my text looks like it has been enlarged. I have checked all the sizes and have annotative turned off. I assume this has to be some setting that I have selected on my home computer but I can't find anything.

All colors in 2013 that should be white (white, porcelian, snow) are all a shade of gray and no matter what I do to adjust it, it always is gray.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I xref this file or copy this pipe and paste it to the other, the pipe appears to be a single line, what's the reason of it? I have all of the object enablers loaded. This is the only file that keeps acting like this? This is from the subs, so it's not generated from Autodesk softwares. it's a converted DWG file.

Not sure what info you may need I'm running windows 7 with autocad 2010. I also have autocad 2005 loaded on the same machine and this box does not appear when opening drawings with it.
We recently upgraded to Civil 3d 2014 and have had a strange box show up after printing to PDF. We use Acroplot to print to PDF. Please see attachment. It has only happened to 3 users so far and one user's system stopped doing it.
Also experience a slow open and processing initially when you made the switch to 2014 (we upgraded from 2011 c3d). We suspect it may be a conversion of files causing this. Many of the xrefs or DS have not been saved in 2014.
When I plot to PDF using DWG to PDF.pc3 the drawing appears to be washed out, some things are darker than others. I am using Autocad 2011 and Adobe Acrobat 9 and 10.
I do not have this problem when I print from Autocad 2009 .
As I am working on a project this evening, at home, and only Autocad 2011 here, and Adobe Acrobat 10.
My plot setting are identical in 2011 as they are in 2009.
I am using autocad 2008 and I used the function that allows you to hide objects such as hatching or lines under text. When I delete the text, I expected the invisible box to delete with it. Sadly this is not the case. I am not able to click or highlight the invisible box. How to remove said boxes?
