So I am trying to make the Odin chair, but I am stuck on how to go about it. Since its arcs on two places. (It bends, as the same time its round on the side.) I am not experienced in autocad so could be I am missing a tool to make this shape. In 3D max its super easy with the BEND modifier. But need to make it all in autocad this time.
So is there a way to do it ? Any tools I should look at ?
The default color of the Chair-desk.rfa under Furniture/Seating is an unusual color, not of a standard office chair color. I was able to change the textile family color of that chair to the Leather - Dark Brown color which is available in the default material library, but I would rather like it to be of a gray color, maybe medium gray or a dark gray. I could not change the color of the seat fabric to gray, at least I do not see a gray leather in the materials fabric/leather library. How to change the color to gray?

I don't have a plotter, but my Canon MP610 can print in poster mode where large drawings can be printed onto a grid of several A4's - e.g. 16 sheets of A4's arranged on a grid 4x4 - enough to print the biggest part of the chair scaled 1:1.

Basically, I have one dummy that controls the position and rotation of the chair. As the Chair goes forward or backward, the casters will need to swivel around and would be following the chair from behind. Likewise, when the chair rotates, the casters would swivel and follow from behind. Would this be Wire Parameters?

The thing is that there are parts of the picture where the velvet texture is naturally darker than the rest of the spots, and to keep the chair looking real and 3d, they have to stay a darker color than the white color I want to make it. but when i use the hue options, it just lightens everything on the chair.

I work with a drawing that for some reason don't have a proper fence line in it. I tried to load another .lin file, but still the fence line looks funny. The line I'm after looks and work ok in alla other files but this one!
I tried to copy paste a fence line from another drawing but what's pasted is just half the linetype...

Right now i have to FLATTEN my project every time i want to do any action (like offset for example), because my Z plane values are different.
Is there a way to make a rule that Z plane is 0 always, no matter what happens?

I thought the idea for the Mtext background mask was to put a transparent mask behind the text to 'grey-out' the object below the text.
When I do that and select a mask color it plots as a black box. So I select a color that normally plots as a screened entity but it still plots out as a solid black mask.
How can I make the mask transparent? Can I not mask out what's below the text? My plotter is set up to plot line weights by line color.
when I tried downloading and installing this INCREMENT app from the Exchange Store. First, I can't get this to run at all. If I go into the CUI settings dialogue, I don't see this plug-in listed anywhere where it should appear. It had occurred to me that maybe the only way this app works is from the plug-in tab and not from the command line, but I'm not sure that makes any sense, either seems it should work either way, if I'm interpreting the documentation correctly. But, I cannot make my ribbon tab appear to check out my probably mistaken theory (see above). Navigating around the CUI dialogue and checking the settings for my tab, I see that it is set to "show" and there is every indication that it should appear, but there seems to be something buggy or suspicious going on with the
Control-0 (clean screen) toggle and/or the Control-9 (command line) toggle as well?I don't see how either of these would have any affect on the visibility of my tab, if they were toggled to the correct setting. I am the only person using this workstation so it's not like there is a profile issue at work here.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to create DXF in AutoCAD 2012, Civil 3D 2012 and Lt 2012 and every time I try to open the DXF after creating it, it comes up with:
Error in APPID table
DXF rear error on line 21308
Invalid or incomplete DXF input - drawing discarded.
I've tried saving it various DXF formats: 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2010, and all show up with the same error.
I use the Key Design Accelerator, i suceded in making the Keyhole in the shaft, but cannot complete the selection for the hub.
I selected the 2 hub's faces, but am stuck in the third and last selection box for the hub, the Second Reference
I'm trying to make a description key set for our surveyors and am running into a problem with one description. For an iron rod they will use the description CH*IR 3/8 W/CAP. I cannot get the point to come in using the right point and label styles.
