For some reason, my autocad application will not display the text type on screen correctly. This began on Friday of last week (10/19), and remains today (10/21). It is not simply one drawing file, but all drawing files that I open. When I initiate the MTEXT Editor, the correct font appears, but not in the drawing window.
I am looking for some code that would allow me to select a MTEXT Entity - or other entity - (as the DEFAULT option) but also to allow me to type in some text manually or to pick a point in the drawing. Something that would present the user with:
"Select an object or [P to pick a point]" or
"Select MTEXT or [M to type].
I can write some code to type in text manually as the default option and get the second option to select entity using get string and then write some condition of if code but I don't know how to do it having entsel as default option.
how to select the text so I can begin the filter part. I tried what he said about right clicking the layer pallette and rasterizing but for some reason it won't put the selection around the text. What am i doing wrong? Any quicky shortcut on the keyboard to select it?
I'm trying to get text to scroll across the screen full height coming from the right to left, scroll across the screen at certain times of the video. I saw some animation presets there for text but not what I'm looking for. What I'm trying to do: along with a song, every time the name of the song comes up in the chorus, I'd like to scroll those words across the full height of the video as an overlay. And if it was just a graphic instead of text going across, what would I use to achieve that?
What is the data type for the second parameter of retrieve dimension method? Coz it's optional parameter.Retrieve(ViewOrSketch as Object, [DimensionToRetrieve]) as GeneralDimensionEnurator
We've tried to put the parameter name of the model as parameter but error had occured "DATA TYPE MISMATCH".Here's our
does any one no if there is a photo shop filter/plug in or method i could use to create a 3d effect on an image. by this "3d effect" i mean the type of image that you would require the green and red glasses to look at it and it allows images within the page to "pop out" of it.
I would like to be able to have the screen refresh periodically to show the new objects I have added as a command method proceeds to execute. I am hoping to be able to achieve a kind of simple animation by doing this, and also to show progress while a computationally intensive operation is under way. Is there a way that I can do this?
I have tried using AcadApp.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument..Editor.Regen() and also .Editor.UpdateScreen(), but it only seems to work once and not multiple times. Do I have to commit the transaction and then .
My Type Tool does not select type by double clicking or click and drag. (Windows CS 5 V15.1). This is what I have tried so far and the problem still exists.
Check preferences for "Text": "Select text-object by path only" should be off. Checked. It was off. Didn't fix it. Check the toggle for Show/Hide Edges in the View menu. Cmd(Ctrl)-H. Checked. Edges Showing. Didn't fix it. Trashed my Prefeerences. Didn't fix it.
if there is a plugin or a way to select all the invisible layers from a photoshop file autmatically with just one click? This would be really handy when it comes to huge photoshop files with lots of folders & layers...
Gimp 2.6.6 on Ubuntu Linux 8.04.Scanning using VueScan Professional 8.5.20 with an "Epson Perfection 4490 Photo" scanner. Color profile has been built for the scanner using available photo color target from a well-known German source (can't remember name).Almost all my scanning is of postage stamps and related items -- scanning the actual physical objects, not photos of the objects.
Problem:
The stamps are currently scanned on a black background (for lack of other color possibilities; the final goal is on a black background). After scanning, the background is selected and turned to 100% black to have greatest contrast for the object. When a stamp has a postmark that crosses the edge of the stamp paper, the color of the postmark (usually dark or black) is very close to the color of the scanning background and thus when the background is selected, the selection "leaks" and "follows" the postmark onto the stamp. We have to manually exclude those "leaks" from the desired selection area.
Goal:
To be able to select the background (for change to 100% black) without any "leakage" of the selection onto the stamp objects AND without ANY non-black color artifacts remaining after changing the selection to 100% black.
Attempted Solutions:
We have tried scanning on many different non-black background colors and surfaces, but there are always some extreme-edge color artifacts remaining ... leaving a sort of "halo" effect around the stamp object. Some of this could be attributable to the particular model of scanner, though every scanner I have ever owned had a similar problem to a greater or lesser degree. The width of the "halo" usually depends upon which side of the object it is on vs the direction of travel of the scanner device.
In television broadcasting it is extremely common for somebody to stand in front of a "green screen" and for the green to be electronically replaced with some image or video, etc. (For example, the weather person standing in front of a weather map.) It is rare to see a green "halo" if everything has been done correctly and if the person is wearing the correct type of clothing fabric.
Is there some Gimp method or plug-in or other tool that will better handle this type of use?Recently poster Ron Guilmette discussed his use of "Darla-PurpleFringe.scm" plug-in to remove an artifact caused by a digital camera and subsequent processing.
Is there something like that which can be used to remove a color "halo" that results from using a "green screen" approach to scanning? (I would likely have to select different colors of "green screen" so that such colors are not included in the design of the postage stamp.
I have an upcoming job which requires me to design a series of icons for screen usage (32x32 pixels). I've had plenty of experience designing icons and logos for print, and would appreciate some tips on the method for designing them for screen.
Is the process just a matter of designing the logos in a vector program, importing them into a 72dpi PS file (32x32 pixels), and then optimising the file in Image Ready? (batch process?).
I have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer.
I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.
We have created one Style, but within this Style are two Dimension types (Dual and SIngle)
When a drawing from a model is created it defaults to the Dual Option and we can only select the Single Dimensions by individually selecting the Dimension and editing to Single Dimension, which can be time consuming.
Is there a way to select the Dimension type for the whole drawing?
Why my AutoCad 2009 will not let me select new layers to a specific group layer filter. It was working just fine and yesterday all of sudden it will not let me add new layers to a specific filter. Is there a button or command that maybe would have changed that function. Everything else seems to be working on the Layer Manager.
I've found several people that had this problem through searching, but none of the fixes worked for me. I'm unable to use the quick select feature as it does not list anything other than "multiple". I've tried different files, different selections, repaired the installation, complete reinstall, updated with SP1 and hotfix 3 to no avail. I also have Autocad 2007 with SP 1 installed, as well as Autocad Architecture 2014, if that makes a difference.
to get some objects for zooming, and now I want to un-select them for the user to move on.In vba i could get a selection set by name from a group of selection sets in the drawing. Can I do that in .net?
I am trying to make a schedule and I need to schedule walls, and filter by type. But this option is not available in the view properites/filter options in the schedule.
Is it possible to make this happen without creating an additional parameter for filtering? Which would also open up the potential for omissions in the schedule.
For selecting objects, I must have hit a buttom trying to figure something else out and now I can't select objects without touching them and clicking on them, I used to be able to pick whole sections.
I'm trying to create a new design based on a grid, so I need pixel-exact text layers. For this I always use "None" as anti alias method. This is pixel-exact, but it's absolutely not beautiful. So from time to time I'd like to check how the full impression of the layout is on a modern browser that support anti aliasing. Sadly it's quite a pain to do and then again undo it for every text layer separately, so maybe there's a way to speed things up? :-)
